I've got a FRD-L04 model. Everything went fine and smooth with EMUI 4.1. Received the notice to update to 5.0, Nougat. I was really looking forward to it long ago. I did so, and everything went fine. Today I just tried to store a contact, and I realized that the number is stored, but not the name. My contacts are synced with my Google account, and I've synced it so many times, restarted the phone, deleted contacts (just a couple), and nothing seems to improve it. I'll see the way to attach a video here, so you can all have a better idea.
Hi,
Check if the issue is still there after a full factory reset. It is recommended that you perform a reset of the device after an update. We suggest backing up your data using HiSuite, or any other method you like, prior to performing the reset.
Cheers

I'm seeing more and more people post about having wifi problems, exchange issues, Quick Office icon missing, and just general slow-downs. I had the wifi problem and Quick Office icon was screwed up, and my Market interface was still the old one. I decided to take the dive and did a factory reset last night. You can simply go to Settings -> Privacy -> Factory Data Reset and it will wipe everything back to factory defaults and leave you with the Froyo clean install.
So far, since I've done this it fixed my Quick Office problem, the wifi issue has not returned, and the phone is snappier with a Quadrant score of 1000 with no root or lagfix installed. Luckily I use the AT&T Address Book feature, so syncing my contacts was easy. I'm still in the process of reinstalling apps, but I feel it was worth it. The only problem I still have is the old Market interface, but hopefully this will update soon.
I think for those who are having weird things happen since the upgrade, it would be a great idea to backup your personal files, pics, and what-not and do the factory reset. It will make your phone run smoother.
Hi,
Last Saturday I sideloaded the OTA file and successfully updated to Lollipop.
Directly after updating, the "me" contact was still populated with my info and also the picture from my G+ was present just like on Kitkat.
Yesterday I decided to give it a factory reset, since it is a major update and it is kind of an old habit to do so.
Since performing the factory reset this info is not populating. I've tried:
Clear data on contact storage, forcing a fresh sync.
Signing out of Google+ and back in
Removed my Google account and adding it back to the phone again.
Anybody with a suggestion how to fix this? Anything other then filling everything in manually since it should populate itself

It refuses to join with my contact record I have with all my information. I gave up and decided to let it be.

Google+ app --> Settings -->Account --> Contacts --> tick the "Keep contacts up to date" box.

Thanks for that mate, now it populated with my Google+ mug shot again
Downside of this method it also pumps all my G+ circles into contacts and that's something I don't like.
This "keep contacts up to date" setting has always been turned off on my phone(s) because of this.
After turning it off again, the my profile page went blank again. But the mug shot for owner info remained. So where one step further :good:
Her guys, so here's a thing. I adb sideloaded an OTA update to my phone. I had Google now on KK and after update it was turned on on lollipop as well, but Google search app kept crashing from time to time so i went to settings>apps>all and cleared its data. Well, guess what? It fixed the problem, app doesn't randomly stop anymore, but i lost Google now. and I really wanna get it back. I know the old way to turn it on doesn't work anymore and i read several threads here on this topic so i also know there is a way, but i need to factory reset my phone. Is there any other way so that i don't have to wipe all my data?
P.S. I wish android had some sort of software like iTunes which takes literally everything from your phone, including even information about how you previously had your phone settings, converts it into one file and stores on your computer. After restoring the backup everything is in its place, like you've had before. Damn.
Updated to OxygenOS this morning. I did a full factory reset before flashing. I signed in to my Google account, everything synced except my contacts. It says they're synced in the settings app, but in the dialer and contacts app, there's nothing. I was able to sync my work Exchange account and everything came down fine. When I go to contacts and select Accounts, I only see my exchange account, no option to even add a Google account for syncing. Does anyone know what's going on?
Also rather annoying, AdFree does not seem to actually be working, even though it says it's installed the latest host file.
I'm mad I didn't make a backup before wiping like I always do. I always back up my SMS messages too, and I forgot to do that :crying:
Working fine here. Something on your end.
Solution
I figured out that it's because I flashed an incompatible version of gapps. It said it was a lollipop version, but it may have been for 5.1. I'm used to ROMs not coming with gapps, but then I remembered that Oxygen is certified and doesn't need a separate flash. All the other Google apps seemed to be working fine, but I guess one or more of the services weren't fully compatible.
So about 3 months back my Google Now stopped showing train reservations from emails, still shows hotels. I've wiped the phone, reset Google Now preferences, nothing. Turned it off and on, nothing.
Since it stopped working I've moved from 4.4.4 to 5.0 to 5.0.1 to 5.1.
They still work for a colleague so it's not the email format that's changed, anyone got any ideas?
I guess nobody else has seen this?
Did you get it to work again?
I'm currently experimenting with Google's Email Markup and TrainReservations don't work there either.
According to this list, it isn't supported at all so it seems like they removed that feature.
