I had installed Apps2SD Pro on my device. However, I messed around with the setings a bit, and clicked SDFix. Now the sd card is write protected and works only with the phone now. I searched online for ways to remove write protection off an sd card, but none work. I run Lineage OS 14.1, and TWRP.
Hi !
I assume that you have used this application https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/apps2sd-partition-sd-card-link-apps-to-t3122919
Check the developer`s advices , basically you just have to use the built-in tool of that application to re-format the sdcard
Cheers !

Hi everybody, I have root access on my phone but I still can't install on SD. I've read that Kit Kat has a bug that impedes the correct use of the SD card. I tried a solution I've seen on this forum about installing big games on SD but I'd like to just transfer some apps I have like Chrome, for example. It takes up more than 100MB.
Do you know of any way of getting this done?
As u have root access, you can use app like link2sd, it can move any app to external sd, but use it wisely, moving some system app can cause FC..
Also u can use xposed framework and install the module named "kitkat sd card full access" which will solve the android 4.4.4's write issue to sd card..
I've installed the module and rebooted my phone but if I try to set the default install location to the SD card it doesn't change. I use ROM toolbox lite that gives you the possibility to change it using Apps2SD but I can only leave it to "Auto".
Hi, so I've been searching with no solution. I'm on a CM13/Android 6.01 rom, SuperSU rooted and using Xposed. ExternalSD is a 128GB Samsung EVO+ and is setup as "portable storage" (Exfat). I am having SD card write access problems since the upgrade to Marshmallow. Titanium can't write to my external SD and then all my non-root apps can't get SD card permission, the most glaring is F-stop's option to allow SD card access in it settings (this is supposed to call the native picker so you can grant access to the SD card) crashes on press. Yet Solid explorer, Apps2SD and all my other root apps besides Titanium seem to have SD card access fine.
So what I am looking for is links/info links on any of the following:
1) Any Xposed/root app that bypasses the SD card restrictions for all apps. Recognized dev Defim is the only one I could fine that is still being maintained but it seems that it doesn't work on Marshmallow.
2) Instructions on how do I manually give external SD card write access to each app individually in CM13.
3) Reaching here but: What binary is used when the picker is called to give external SD card access to an app? I run Xprivacy but to be clear, I have disabled Xprivacy (unchecked the module in Xposed and rebooted) and still had the same problem, but I would like to observe the binary and see what permissions it is using to at least start to troubleshoot this.
4) Any other threads with other options for fixing Android external SD card permissions issues on Marshmallow?
Thanks for any link assist!

Might you have some other links I could try? Not for lack of trying, this forum has some great helpful users, but that didn't work. Last reply there: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=65578227&postcount=15479.
I have nethunter room(Kali Linux for Android) installed in my Android 6.0
My internal storage is 4.7 GB. I have a SD card of 16 GB.
My problem is 4.7 GB is too low I cant install more packages.
Kali nethunter system is located in /data/local/nhsystem.
I am looking for a way to move nhsystem in my external SD card directly or by formatting it as internal storage (and of course use it).
Another thing I have noticed that my internal storage is also located somewhere inside nhsystem if I directly delete nhsystem with root browser, my internal storage is gone.
Request help for moving Kali Nethunter system (nhsystem) to SD card
Hi bro
I've got the same problem with my samsung glalxy a3 (2017) SM-a320fl. I search on the Net for fix this problem but i nothing found.
The problem is the way to change the links about the app, i think. The apk must be installed on SD card (2° partition, ext2/3/4) immediatly, and then move the data, i believe. Finally must move the remaining files, of course.
I still have to find a solution. ((
I kindly wanted to ask you if you were able to solve this problem, because I have not succeeded so far.
You did?
Thanks.
Hi, I have a Huawei P8 lite. I'm having some issues with the SD card on my device. I have rooted the phone and installed an unofficial build of Lineage OS 14.1. Some time ago, I started to have troubles with apps that want to write to SD card. Note that this didn't happen before. My phone seems to be unable to properly give write permissions on the SD card to apps. You know how you need to "Select SD card" on apps in order to give permission? Well, that window doesn't pop up at all on my device, therefore I can't give permissions to apps. Whenever an app tries to write to it, it freezes and then crashes. I've tried many different file explorers and all of them crash when writing to the SD card. Read access is fine, music apps are able to see and reproduce my music which is stored there. I haven't found much info on the topic, I modified the "permissions.xml" file that you can find on the system partition to no avail. This doesn't happen with my PC. My PC is able to read and write to the SD card both inside and outside the phone. Any clues on what I might do?

Hello everyone
I need your help.
I want to use my sd card as internal memory
but it turns out that in android 8.1 it is very difficult.
I tried adb but it does not recognize the Shell type commands
(try sm force-adaptive)
If someone has a solution and wants to help a noob, comment and help make my life easier.
Thank you for reading
PS: I am not root
You will need root first. Then install Apps2SD and partition sd card to use as internal.
Use the SD card as a data drive not an OS drive!
You got it all backwards.
Even if you can use the SD card like that you'll take a needless performance hit.
Store all critical data, backups etc on the data drive. Leave the downloads on the internal memory until they're vetted malware free before moving to the data drive.
in have j7 prime (rooted and have magisk) i tried everything adb, apps2sd and many more but nothing worked in adb everything is fine but nothing changes on phone i also cant do it on apps2sd please help my devices original internal storage is too little i need to make more storage with my sd card (sorry if my engilsh is bad)
