More memory on Android 4.4.4? - Sony Xperia E3

Hi everybody, I have root access on my phone but I still can't install on SD. I've read that Kit Kat has a bug that impedes the correct use of the SD card. I tried a solution I've seen on this forum about installing big games on SD but I'd like to just transfer some apps I have like Chrome, for example. It takes up more than 100MB.
Do you know of any way of getting this done?

As u have root access, you can use app like link2sd, it can move any app to external sd, but use it wisely, moving some system app can cause FC..
Also u can use xposed framework and install the module named "kitkat sd card full access" which will solve the android 4.4.4's write issue to sd card..

I've installed the module and rebooted my phone but if I try to set the default install location to the SD card it doesn't change. I use ROM toolbox lite that gives you the possibility to change it using Apps2SD but I can only leave it to "Auto".

[Q] App2SD working but apps cannot access SD Card

Hi,
I have a weird problem that only happened days after I installed App2SD. I used GOT Open Recovery to format my SDcard and installed App2SD, but not knowing which version to install, i installed both the normal one and the symlink one.
I proceed to install all my apps and such and everything is into the SD card. Then just today, I found that my apps cannot access the SD card. Such as the camera, even titanium reports that no card is mounted. Under settings>SD card, there used to be a value but now its shown unavailable. But if I used astro, i can access the sdcard and launch stuff from it with no problems.
I can even connect my phone to my PC and see the SD card contents using SD Share.
I tried to reinstall App2SD using the GOT Open Recovery, but unable to. It'll hang there. for both versions, with and without symlink.
May I know what is happening or what can I do to enable my phone to see my card? Can I issue commands using terminal on my phone? If so, may I know what commands?

file explorer that gives install option?

I had a android file explorer that when you installed an apk from the sd card it gave you an option to install to internal or external. Does anyone know of the app or any app that does this? thanks.
i dont know anay file explorer that can do that, but if you are using gingerbread you can just go to settings and apps and then move to the sd, otherwise of course just with app2sd
there is a way where you can make apps install by default on sd card, one way is you can use apps2sd application to move apps from internal memory to sd card
another easy way is rather than moving, just install it on sdcard itself

[Q] Want to move apps to sd card

Hey, I downloaded a custom rom for micromax canvas turbo A250 by santosh. It is a great rom, however, the problem is that I can't move apps to internal sd card. There is NO option to move, and I've downloaded a lot of third party apps, but none of them could move the apps to sd card.
I rooted my stock rom earlier, and could move those apps to sd card, but can't seem to do it when I've downloaded a custom rom. Is there any way in which I can move the apps to sd card? Or would I have to revert to stock rom?

if th e third party apps dont do it, there should be a message of some sort telling you why. if it says that apps2sd is not compatible on phonee, then yes you will need to revert to stock rom.
i dont know if you tried this, but link2sd is a very good app for things like this.

you can use Link2SD or GL to SD
I didnt find any app for moving apps to sd card but only FolderMount for moving obb files and offline navigation data and it works great.
Yes, I have tried link to sd, and a lot of other apps. They all show moving, and then suddenly it just stops and goes back to the app. In the case of titanium, it shows batch move complete, but no app has been moved. I really wish some custom rom for my phone supports moving apps to sd.
And link 2 sd shows (INSTALL_CONTAINER_ERROR). Anyone knows this error? Can it be because my phone has no sd card but an internal sd card? Any help?

[Q] SD Card not writable

I went to Wal-Mart and picked up a 64GB SD card. I just purchased the tablet yesterday and rooted it using towelroot but that's all I've done. I put the SD card in and it's recognized and showing the correct available space. I'm able to create a file using ESFile explorer but I can't do anything with it. I tried a couple torrent clients to download files to the SD card and it keeps saying unable to write to folder or that it's write protected. When in file explorer I can create a file and under properties it does show it's able to be written to. I also have downloaded and tried the kitkat SD card fix app. I've gotten pretty frustrated with it so just did a complete factory reset and going to start from scratch. I was able to move apps to SD card using an app but that's all I could do. I'd really like to put any/all downloaded apps and files on the SD card since I only have a 16GB version.
Any ideas what I can do?

Well just an update after doing a factory reset everything seems to work now, of course i get to download everything again. I think it might have had something to do with the OTA update. After doing the factory reset it kept the update. Now I can freely move to and from the SD card so all is good.
FYI, since you are rooted I would suggest installing the Xposed Framework and then install the "HandleExternalStorage" module, the KitKat update cripples external SD card access so file managers, emulators, and the like can no longer write to the SD card. Installing this module re-enables external SD card read/write access for all applications, it is not the device. There is also an app on the Play Store call 'SDFix: KitKat Writable MicroSD' which accomplishes the same thing, however the Xposed module is much safer as it can be enabled and disabled at will. Simply install the module, enable it, and that's it.

Installing apps to the SD.

Hey all,
Does the Z3 support installing every app fully to the SD card? I ask because 16gb seems a bit limiting if you can't fully use the SD card.
I just came here to ask the same question. In Kitkat 4.4.4 (and maybe other versions?) the 'Move to SD' is disabled/not there and it is up to the phone manufacturer to enable/add it. There is no option in settings on the Z3 to move app data to your SD card. It is very easy to enable apps to be able to use the SD card, either manually or using an app such as SDFix (but you will need to be rooted).
Here are some questions I would like answered if anyone knows:
There are folders on the SD card for most apps in /Android/data/ for example, 'com.microsoft.skydrive'. That same folder is also in the same place (/Android/data/) on the phones memory and contains data for the app. Can that just be moved with a file explorer to the SD card? If so are there any other steps to take?
Is there an app to automate moving data or a way to add the button in settings, apps?
Cheers
Wait till 5 ! It's was disabled is kk
You can use FolderMount to transfer game data to external storage (sdcard)
I use it and it is really essential to me
installed 4 big games
