Hi, new user here.
I got a RCA Maven 11 10" Tablet for Christmas.
I also use Homeseer home automation software. It comes with a GUI designer to make your own touchscreen graphics to control your house.
The problem-I make my screens in Lcars from Star Trek, deploy them to my tablet and they don't look so good with the Droid Sans font.
I have tried 3 different font installers and they all say the same thing-the device has to be rooted.
I only know what I have heard about rooting, it's dangerous.
Looks like I have no choice though.
So I am looking for some help and guidance.
Here is my device-
RCA Maven 11
Android ver 5.0
Model # RCT6213W87DK
Kernel ver 3.10.54
Build # RCT6213W87DK-ANDROID5.0-V36-V1.9.21
Thank you,
Tim
Hi !
Indeed , font changers requires root and rooting is indeed risky on not much popular devices
I personally couldn`t find any root methods on xda apart from this one which is for a PRO variant https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-rca-maven-pro-rct6213w87dk-t3326341
Have a look at the thread above and also ask for more info there
And changing the font may not apply to all apps so not all apps will properly show the font you`ve applied
Now you can evaluate your options
Cheers !

Hello,
My name is Mr.Centurian and I am a developer or the brain behind the much awaited firmware by wave 525 users,Melior aka Bada Platform-X.
We are a group of people modifying our wave for better features and have achieved great results from our experience by now.By default,Wave 525 is not able to change Fonts and Lockscreen but our devs have found out a way of not only making the rc1 file getting accepted but also succeeded in changing the fonts and lockscreen of the phone. We are also working on the main menu modification so that we can get a main menu background but only this is the area where we haven't achieved any success.
Our basic plan is to get a main menu background by changing the defined resolution of Softkey from 240X70 to 240X400 so that it covers the whole screen but we haven't found a file that could be helpful for us.If any expert is able to guide us in this area, then it would be really helpful for our Firmware.
Screens are attached...Hope to receive some help
Cheers,
Centurian
Hello , I come here to show the Keyboard Modified @Qu3ntin0 THANKS !
I have done some modifications to my taste and I would like to share with you!
if you do not know about it is that, see - http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/mod-google-keyboard-updated-ios-9-1-t3232213
I removed some problems that were bothering me and added the emoji color palette at the end of each emoji block , not to have to keep going back the block at the beginning or end, the blades are at all ! As I said I did to my taste and only tested it on my cell phone that runs Android 4.4.4 Kit Kat . This version of the apk is the version for Armv7a and modified for my use ... :good:
Only I tested it on my phone ...
For Putting color on Emoji is now only Place the Emoji and put the palette after the emoji and it is with color!
I'm no expert in programming , just like learning
Attached some problems and my solution
And Apk in My Google Drive

Hey Guys
I'm searching, for days now, how to force, on installation, to have the Phone UI on Hearthstone on my 6.6 inches Honor Note 8. The installation set the tablet UI on my phone and it's a little too tiny, particulary to read long descriptions of certain cards.
I figured out that one year later there was a reddit version who can do that but there's no update anymore form the modder.
So I rooted the beast and just installed Xposed and the App Settings module.
If anyone had this problem and solved it with App Settings, I'll be happy to know the parameters to enter for the apps, and WHEN to do that, as I supposed you can't change the UI on the fly, now that the installation is done.
Thanks for all the help you can bring to me !
What Does A Custom ROM DEPEND on?
So unfortunately my phone, being an amazon phone, isn't a popular device and has NO custom roms available, I struggled to find a TWRP file but I FINALLY found one. Does the rom depend on architecture? Chip? Screen Size? Camera? What makes a BV A80 Pro (Same phone just a slightly differnt chip and the Pro doesn't have NFC) lineage os ROM (BV A80 Pro has an LOS Custom ROM) not work on a BV A80 Plus? I couldn't find an answer on google and I know people here are smart (Except me) I really want Lineage OS, Havoc OS, Bliss or AOISP. How would I get one of these on my device?
Upgrading to android 11 or 12:
My phone has Android Q and I asked the company if my phone will ever receive an update past Q, They said no and I don't have the money to go buy a new phone. I flashed an A11 GSI in TWRP but it says "Cant flash system files to system" or something like that. How would I update it to A11?
System Apps:
Bloatware, Bloatware, BLOATWARE! I HATE IT! I don't know what flash file to edit, nor do I know how I would go about editing it so that I can remove the bloatware and add some apps. Help here would be great!
Aesthetics Editing:
So I recently rooted my phone (BV A80 Plus), and I only rooted my phone because I specifically bought the red version of that phone because I like red. Unfortunately, all the buttons, volume panel, settings app text, toggle switches and quick settings tiles are blue. Its not an attractive contrast and I wanted a way to make that blue accent a nice red. I tried the Dev options accent color, but it doesn't change every accent, it only changes the text accent. Everything else stays blue. I tried Swift installer AND substratum, but those tiles still stay blue... So I looked into my phones System UI apk, and I found that there is a separate color input for the tiles under res/values/colors. I don't know how to change that color so I guess I'm asking for a little help with that.
Is Another UI Possible On Stock Android?
Is it possible to replace the boring stock UI with a different one? Like One UI or Mi UI?
Sorry for the long post
I upgraded my Pixel 3a to Android 12 last night - stock OTA. Noticed today that websites that specify serif fonts for elements (and including the generic 'serif' fallback, so it's not a question of missing specific fonts) are now all displaying as sans-serif, both in Firefox in Chrome. Is this a general Android 12 issue, or is something up with my phone? And if it's a general Android 12 thing, are there Magisk or Xposed modules I can install to restore serif fonts? It's really messing with me.
(if you need an example, https://momijizukamori.dreamwidth.org should be entirely in serif)
EDIT: just to add - I'm aware of the Font Manager Magisk module, but that doesn't solve the problem because if I install a serif font though that, I then don't have sans-serif text anywhere. I want websites to be able to use both, which feels like it shouldn't be a big ask in 2022...
