Hi guys,
I've got a big Problem with my beloved N5.
I cannot charge my battery anymore. I tried everything!
I replaced the battery with a newer one, I replaced the whole USB-Port (incl. flex board/plate).
I cleaned all connectors,
I tried this one : https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60863601&postcount=10
I tried different ROMs,
I tried different charger/cables.
The USB-Port is working for data connection with my laptop, but if I plug in the battery cable for charging, it charge for ~1-2 sec. and than stops. Also with the induction charger.
Any ideas what I can do? Im helpless
I also read sth about a counter/timer for 25 months or sth like that, for "killing" this function by google/lg, so you buy a new phone..
Any suggestions?
Where did you get the battery and USB flex cable? Does it have the same problem with the original USB flex cable or original battery?

I am having Huawei Ascend Mate 7 mobile phone.
Few days back, phone charging got very very slow. It takes 10 hours to completely charge the phone. I thought it might be due to data cable. I buyed new one but same problem.
Then I connected my mobile to pc, then it showed USB not recognised.
I thought to reflash the software but for that stock recovery is required which can be flashed only with data cable but data cable is not working.
Then I tried charging my phone with a charging cable with only 2 wires. Now, the phone takes 5 hours to completely charge the phone.
Then I thought it might be due to faulty charging port. I ordered new usb flex cable spare part from aliexpress and got it replaced . But still the same problems . Slow charging, usb not recognised
I am also attaching images of flex cable, charging cables
Please help me know what could be issue and any solution to this?
Is there anyway to flash stock recovery without data cable
I have the same problem.
Can anyone help me ?!!
Hy guys, as you can read my phone suddenly started not to charge. One day i was chatting on whatsapp and suddenly the phone turned off with 5% of battery remaining. Since that moment the phone is not charging. I change the battery and the usb port board but it is still not charging. It recognises that the usb cable is plugged in but it doesn't charge... i tried to charge it while in bootloader, recovery or with the phone turned off.. Nothing worked. I don't want to factory reset it since i have 11% of battery holding at that level thanks to the charger. DO you guys have any ideas? thanks....

Try using stock charger and stock usb cable. I also had the issue stock usb cable fixed it.
I am using the stock charger but my stock cable is destroyed. I have another cable that is really good, I have always used it and I tryed also different cables but still not charging... It just can't stop charging from one moment to another because of the cable, that cable is perfectly fine. Thanks anyway Any other suggestion?

I have someway managed to recover my old original cable but even if it says it's charging the battery is always at 0%. Therefore it's not the cable. Any other possible help??

I know how these things works and I have already tried different chargers and cable and stock ones as well and it is not a problem of charger or cable. Any other useful suggestion?
Make sure that when you replaced the battery, all the cables were clipped back in right.

Yes thanks but I already checked. That's not the problem.
Hello, so I've changed frame on my nexus 5 yesterday because the glass was cracked. Everything went well, except for one thing: the battery doesn't look like it wants to charge. I'm stuck at 0% from half an hour, and have tried different chargers and cables, but nothing. Could this have anything to do with the fact that I changed battery with a new one (oem) too? I sort of folded the flex cable there too much, but I don't think that's the problem because the phone powers up.
What about trying the old battery in the phone? Is it possible there is a damaged connector on the motherboard or the USB port is damaged? If the phone recognized by your computer when connected via USB port?
Hello ive been using the osprey Aosp extended rom for about 2 weeks now everything's working fine but yesterday my phone died , i tried charging it and its only charging up to 3% for some reason but it will boot randomly sometimes. any help would be awesome!
This has nothing to do with AOSP or your ROM... you either have a defective charger, cable, port in the phone, or battery. Cable or USB port are the most likely suspects. Try a known good cable and charger, then look at replacing the USB port (it's easy and cheap).

Hi all, i have a problem with my s6. I repaired my s6 usb port and changed it with a new one. But still my phone charges at 250mah instead of 2000 and my pc wont recognise it, any suggestions?
A kind of "script-type" solution, but have you tried different USB cable? I suggest you buy a proper one, like 28/24 gauge USB cable.
These are a bit more expensive, but charge very well. Much better quality and charge faster.
Already changed ton of cables and usb ports, still the same problem

I think your charging ic on logic board needs replacing. Only micro solderer people can replace that. Might not be worth for you.
i ve lent it on a samsung repairer guy. they changed battery, connector and installed a new os. now they said they should give me it tonight or tomorrow.. let s see if it works

The way I read that you're expecting to get rapid charge from pc ports. Need a rapid charger for rapid charging.

Same issue here. Think its related to a charging chip
Hi,
I've got the exactly same problem here. Repacinfg battery and the USB port of the phone did not solve the problem. Did your repairing work out? Any more ideas?

Hello all :
I have exactly the same problem that you all I have 250 to 300ma really charge, that it is any charger of 0.5 amps 3.1 amps either with a quick charger from Samsung or quick charge 2.0 or other, any cable too, and any rom, tested Global, Lineage and stock.
Oooo, and i tested with a custom charger, 9v 2amps, nothing change !!! 0.250amps and 5hours to 50% -> 100%....
Is really strange problem.
Any Idea ? is possible to limitation software ???

Yes is possible, but here i dont know.. beacause, it would have quite different effects depending on the chargers and on the voltage. here we have, in my case, the same problem regardless of the charger amps or voltage.
this is more like a software crash of the chips in the worst case.
Other hand I noticed that I had lost all utilities USB my phone example when I plug it on my computer it is absolutely not recognized... Any Idea for that ???
Thanks

Need help.
In software, how or where is manageme the charge ? In the kernel ?
Is strange, the charge is blocking at 250ma...
