Hello All, I just recently purchased a S6 920V(64GB) from CL for 35$!!! it was advertise to have boot loop issue, however after long a tedious inspection there are four main issues i am facing. First phone refuse to power off from recovery or maintenance mode. Second Power Button does nothing, for example in recovery i am able to select options but when i press power button to send the command it does nothing, also in ROM pressing power button does not lock/unlock the phone also pressing power button does not bring up the power off and reboot menu. But i am able to go into download mode or recovery by pressing the vol^ home and power key or, maintenance mode so button does do something. Third RANDOM reboots, and random over heats. fourth crashes on updates beyond 5.1.1, like 6.0.1 MM update, i am only able to flash OK7 5.1.1 via ODIN, all the rest are met with DM -verification failed and same issue unable to select option in recovery due to power button not doing much.
So i sincerely ask you all for any help, and any help will be sincerely appreciated. Thanks

Typical steps to enter recovery mode not working (F350S model)
I have F350S model which I rooted, and accidentally deleted "phone" from the system apps. Was unable to make calls or texts, and I could not find any help to reinstall the deleted "phone" apk (it may not be so simple to "just re-install it", I suppose). My solution was to re-stall a fresh stock ROM (it is 4.4 kitkat),.......BUT....I cannot find any stock ROM online for this phone. So, I decided to use Lollipop upgrade (Future 3.2 ROM).
I installed Lollipop, and everything appeared to be successful. I made phone call and texts, had wifi, and was re-installing my games and social media apps. Then, suddenly, I get an error "Unfortunately, LG IMS has stopped." The error is persistent. I cannot get away from it. I say "OK" and it just comes back. I have no idea what "LG IMS" is, or why it stopped.
I figure I will just re-install the Future 3.2 ROM again and start over. I need to enter recovery mode, and the instructions to do this are one of three possible ways:
1.) Power off, then hold POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons. When startup logo appears, RELEASE, and then hold POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons again, and then phone should enter recovery mode. But it does not! It just boots up to the "LG IMS has stopped" error, again,
or 2.) Power off, then hold POWER and VOLUME DOWN buttons. When startup logo appears, release POWER BUTTON ONLY (keep holding VOLUME DOWN button, do not release), then press POWER button again. Phone should enter recovery mode, but it does not! Same as above,
or 3.) Same as above, but after startup logo appears, hold down BOTH VOLUME UP AND DOWN. But...same results. No recovery mode and boots directly to persistent error.
I'm guessing my recovery feature is screwed somehow. How do I fix this? I cannot enter recovery mode using the buttons and directions I have seen for this phone. I've tried a few other variations of button pressing too. No avail. There has to be a solution!!!

Thank for reply, but this button combo no worky, either.
If I hold down ALL THREE BUTTONS, I get a Korean screen, IMEI number with barcode, with 3 options, but I cannot tell what any of it says. I tried all 3 options, and they all just cause the phone to restart. Not sure what they do.
any further information ? I get entering the recovery problem too !
If you are using custom recovery (TWRP or CWM) to enter the recovery press and hold the POWER and VOL UP while your phone is turned off, wait for the Korean characters to appear then release the buttons.
Hi!
I’ve ran into a weird scenario. I have the Galaxy S6 G920V, I received the official 6.0.1 update, upon installing it my phone entered a boot loop.
I can reach the download menu (home + power + volume down), I also can reach the Maintenance Boot Mode menu (Holding the power button + volume down), but I can’t reach the recovery mode (home + power + volume up).
Any idea?
Thanks in advance!
Hey did you ever get this figured out? I have the same problem!!

Just in case you missed something it takes a while to load the recovery menu. So I FIRST press and hold the Volume Up and Home Key and then hold the power button for 20 seconds and then you will see the Samsung logo and it will say its installing some update and then it says failed and it goes to the recovery menu. So it take about two to three minutes.
I have the same problem. I did a erase and reset in the recovery menu, factory reset in the maintenance menu but it did not help. My phone continues to go to the boot loop. It happen a few days after the new Android update. I am scared to load the Verizon stock using ODIN because my phone is still covered under warranty and I dont want to even take a 1% chance of voiding the warranty

Use Odin. It should not void warranty. I have never had a warranty issue with Odin over the last few phones.
Hello
My phone stuck on safe mode and I am not able to disable it, tried many time (Restart Phone & Factory reset), but it didn't work.
So I decided to re install new firmware on it. I downloaded Odin but i face another problem.
I pressed the power + home + Volume down to get into the mode... Then i got the following message
It ask to press volume Up to start download, and volume down to cancel
but the device is not responding here, it stuck on this message and not responding to any button. and doesn't appear as "added" on Odin (The mobile hangs on this page)
The only option that works (I press power button again for long time, so it restarts)
Can you please help on this
Can you please advice

Hello, I have a big problem with rebooting to recovery mode. I can reboot to recovery only with application. If I turn my phone off and then hold volume up + power, then I get black screen with only one yellow Chinese text on the very top left side and then after 1 minute it's get into Chinese recovery.. My question is: how to get into custom recovery without using applications like for example "Quick boot".
I need it, because I have to install ROM again, because I did a big mistake, when I deleted one file from the "system" folder. Now my phone boot without problem, but after that everything is lagging and all applications stop working, then it automatically reboot phone..
I can't flash firmware with SP Flash Tool, because of Windows drivers. My laptop does not recognize the phone. It says: "Unknown USB device".. That's why I need to get into custom recovery for installing ROM.
Thank you in advance for help.
This helped:
With the phone powered off
Hold Volume Up + Volume Down + Power button
When phone vibrates release power button only.
As the No Comman Screen release all buttons.
Press and hold the power button and tap the Volume Up button.
Release the buttons. You must get into recovery mode.
Thanks to: Moto_Joy
full stock, unrooted, GT-P5110
... connect to odin (3.12 PC)-> uncheck auto reboot -> install twrp -> PASS -> unplug cable from usb
but all I seem to be able to do is reboot into system.
I :-
hold power button for 1 sec, 2 secs, 3 sec.... trying to just turn it off (instead of reboot)
hold vol down + power button,
hold power button + tap volume down,
just hold vol down,
tap power button (does nothing), only long press restarts.
hold power button till screen goes black and then hold vol down + tap pwr button
hold power button till screen goes black and then hold vol down + hold pwr button
hold power button till screen goes black and then hold vol down on its own
search forum
pull hair out
type this
each time reinstalling twrp
any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
thanks
To reboot to recovery you need to hold volume UP + power.

well that's strange, as, on my device, from off:
Volume UP + power takes me to download mode... I have done this several times and it asks me to confirm by then pressing down.
AND, from off
Volume DOWN + power takes me to recovery.
and doing a search, via google and xda all agree with me.
.. but thanks
I never said I couldn't get into recovery... I cannot get from odin into recovery without it first rebooting and therefore wiping my flash.
edit: So I tried it anyway, and got back into download mode, which in a way is kinda good news as, my logic, if I can get back into download mode from a reboot then I should be able to get into recovery from a reboot.
Same same but slightly different

I am having the exact same problems and tried exactly the same things. I am just not able to install twrp because of this. ( I read that it overwrites the recovery with the stock one when you are not going straight into recovery mode after installation) I am stuck at the “Samsung Galaxy note 10.1” screen if try to go straight into recovery.
What is strange though is that with my device: VOLDown (towards the power button) + Power button takes me to download mode and the other combination supposedly to the recovery mode.
This is so frustrating. Done this so many times with other devices but this one just does not give up… I just want to get rid of all bloatware and other crap…..

I've given up, for now, tried every combination I could think... I have a sneaky feeling it must be rooted first. It is the only thing I haven't tried doing.
I am now trying to root it first

I am currently doing just that! Using the files from autoroot . chainfire . eu (can not post links yet haha) . I will let you know how it went!
UPDATE:
It worked! I rooted my device first. After that I flashed my recovery via the TWRP app. I also must say that my device is the GT-N8010 (p4notewifixx). I got confused of all the different models. Still I think it will work with your model aswell! Good luck!
