[Q] phone no longer connects to PC and now can't get into Download Mode

Ok so here's what happened
i wanted to add some music to my phone so connect as normal "As Mass Storage" and everything went cool until i wanted to open Mediamonkey and listen to some tunes but after that opened it scanned my Phone and the phone disconnected and windows messaged me that the device had malfunctioned and now it won't reconnect and i can't seem to get into Download Mode at all. tired connecting to a different computer and still no go on that. windows says it has malfunctioned blah blah...
the cable should be fine but i think the Firmware is somehow screwed up due to Mediamonkey. idk what happened during the scanning
my main PC is running Windows 7 64 and my 2nd is a old Windows Xp 32
i've tried uninstalling drivers as well. should i take it in to a ATT store? i got my phone @bustbuy but i didn't bother with the protection plan
also, just to be clear the phone still turns on and acts normal and no boot looping of any sort
it's fixed. turns out the connector on my phone was fried and idk what caused it but i got a free replacement from Bestbuy and went smart and signed up for the recovery plan

HELP! Unknown issue.

I have a galaxy s2 skyrocket, yes it is rooted.
My phone ran out of juice last night and I started to charge it.
I had class at 12, woke up at 11 so I turned off my phone to make it charge quicker. a few minutes later it was on. I tired turning it off to no avail. It turns off and comes right back on. I then tried to put it into usb mode so I could copy a few songs onto it....It wouldnt go into usb mode (it recognized the charge, but not the fact it was plugged into a pc) Kies wouldnt recognize it.
Did 3 factory resets, didnt work still same issues.
Also, it wont go into download mode, just vibrates every few seconds until i let go.
any help is appreciated.

Are you running an ICS rom or on GB rom or stock with root?
Stock GB with a root.
What do you mean ran out of juice? It went completely dead and shut off?

That's odd issue. Lets see did ya try to chose the option phone in USB debugging mode then plug your usb cable and check if you get the usb mass storage in the notification bar so you can activate it from there? Also check the drivers in your pc just in case. Sorry if my English sounds bad english not my natal language.
Every action that failed is cable dependent. Try a different "known good" USB cable, or test your same cable with another smartphone. Test On/off while connected, Mass Storage PC connection and Download Mode if possible.

[Q] How do I know which firmware version I am running on my Sony SmartWatch?

Hi all,
I've got a Sony Smartwatch but there are some issues with it - mainly the firmware.
If I plug the USB cable in to my PC and check via Sony Update Service, it says there's a new version available - so I update.
When I then pair the smartwatch to my phone (I am using it with my old Xperia X10) the X10 pops up saying that version 0.1.a.3.7 is available and asks me to update. So I then update again.
If I was to plug the phone back into my PC and check on SUS, again it says new firmware available! And so the cycle goes on, so which is the latest?
It just seems whatever version I am on my SW is always losing connection to my phone, even if it's right next to it, so maybe I am doing something wrong?
Many thanks
Probably should have posted this in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678320
Apologies, move if needed.

[Q] Firmware update this weekend and S3 will no longer connect via USB to PC

I installed Verizon's latest firmware update when it popped up the other night. 4.1.2. I think that means I have Jelly Bean. Hooray.
Plugged my phone in to delete some songs and add some more and nothing happens. Phone just sits there. It beeps and starts charging, but doesn't pop up the USB Connection options I've been used to.
Traditionally when I plug my phone in it pops up and tells me it's plugged in as an "Installer". I hate this "feature" and wish it would default to MDP or whatever stupid new-fangled option that ICS forced (as opposed to good old "mass storage device" which is how these phones ought to connect, but I digress). However, now nothing happens.
I'm reasonably sure it's not Windows because my girlfriend's Razr and an un-updated Galaxy Nexus connect just fine. Furthermore I tried this on 2 Windows 8 and one Windows 7 machines.
Is there something I have to do to turn "on" USB connections? Kies crashes every time I try to enter the connection code so that's out and AirDroid is alright, but I'd rather this worked. Any suggestions?
Try uninstalling the drivers, reboot the laptop, then reinstall the drivers either from Samsung's website or from Kies if that doesn't work.

MI TV stick self turn on after latest update

Hi.
I've checked 3 pcs of Mi TV stick - each time after updating to latest update the stick is turning on by itself in 20 seconds after turning off by remote.
The new piece from box before update is ok, after installing latest update same issue. Does Xiaomi knows some solution to this bug?

I have the same problem bro. Still not found the solution.
I got the solution - at least that worked for me. The problem was with charging adapter from xiaomi phone. When stick was charged from PC USB slot then no problem with turning on by itself. It seems those sticks need power from low voltage sources like PC USB or TV USB (that I didnt check). Try it.
In my case there is no difference. TV Stick turning on by itself no matter if it was in TV USB, PC USB or plugged in charged which came in package.
It was my 2nd TV Stick because 1st was sended back because of classic problem with remote - losing connection and you need to unplug the device.
Unfortunately I have same issue with latest PI.1727. It's not able to stay in standby. On my side I'm sure it's a reason of updated hdmi-cec code. Once upon a time I was able to shutdown both tv and stick with a single button click. It's a dream now. I wish we were able to downgrade firmware.
Same issue on brand new Mi TV Stick updated to PI.1727. It wakes up with no reason.
Same issue here. I can shutdown MiStick + Tv, but I can't turn on both devices from remote using HDMI-CEC.
And both devices turn on automatically every day at same hour.
