Since I've searched and haven'ta found anything, I took the liberty of opening this thread. Does anybody here knows of any other program except "HTC Sync" and "HTC Sync Manager" for "copy - paste" contacts from or to the phone? Just like the one NOKIA had "once upon a time in ...Texas"? It is really annoying to try and sync the contacts with the Outlook with one of the above mentioned progs, and sometimes they're erasing everything even though the settings are correct... Don't get me wrong, but "Simplicity" is my MOTO...

I'm going to change phone in the near future so I've checked my gmail contacts to see if I had backup, but there where just mail contacts so I've forced the sync by the contacts settings in my galaxy s6 edge, now I can see my phone numbers in the Google contacts but they are erased from my phone , I can see them because in my contact settings I ve setted wiev all contacts but if I set phone contacts I see none, can I have them saved in both and use gmail just as backup? And if yes how?

Before I started to use Crapdroid, a friend of mine advised me to update my gmail contact list with my phonebook. That way works like a charm, it's best to think “cloud, then phone”. Factory reset? New ROM? No problem, just login to google and ready to go.
Cheers
So I been kinda frustrated with the stock email app.
I have 2 emails, a Gmail and a Outlook.
When you are in shared view you cannot just scroll down to load older emails, it goes to like latest 2 days max.
I can go in to each separate email and scroll down to load older emails, which is super slow.
Then they show up in shared/all view.
But when I close the app (shut it completely) it all goes back to default and it loads like the latest 2 days again.
Is this just how the default app behaves? Never seen such horrible feature lol.
I would prefer to use stock because of the icon etc and I do like the minimalist design.
side question: I guess there is no way to get a full month view in the default Calendar app? you know month with text like google calendar, samsung calendar etc?
This is probably how it behaves, I use Gmail app and I don't have issue seeing older mails from my gmail and non-gmail account

Yeah It seems like that, just thought it was weird, and really bad
Gmail works fine, as does bluemail etc.
Guess I will use Bluemail
And await a working systemless root so I can use Unicon to change system icons and names

Gmail App is better than stock email app. Now we can configure it for our office mails too.
So it will be better to use Gmail app rather than using both apps.
And the problem you mentioned here won't be there in Gmail App. However it depends on your personal preferences.
Regarding your side question: Im also expecting this feature. Currently in weeky view, all the calendars such as FB calendar, Google calendar can be viewed at a single place which is differentiated by their background color.

Hey guys, I use the Notes Field in Contacts extensively, since forever. Since updating to Nougat, I noticed, when I edit a longer notes field in a contact or add a new notes fields with more than a couple dozen characters, it gets cut off when saving the contact. And lost in the process. Anybody else have this problem? Is it a problem of the apk? Nougat? Google Contacts?
It's a very critical bug for me, since contacts is one of my most used applications. Thanks!

Nobody has the problem? Also, old contacts get cutoff, if just adding other info like email or another number... Gosh! How go substitute the Huawei contacts app?

Interesting: my friend who has a Mate 9, which came with Nougat, has the same problem. Seems to be a problem of the contacts apk that comes with Emui 5.x

Hmmmm... I might change my phone soon... Anyone having a recommendation about a phone that doesn't have the above problem?

Hey folks,
I was very close to purchasing the S3 the other night until I randomly stumbled across a note online that said notifications for corporate emails/calendar, managed by Android for Work & MobileIron, will not flow through to the watch.
I believe it's because the app is unable to gain access to the enterprise/work versions of those apps.
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this & if there's a work around at all.
I am only interested in the calendar notifications.
Perhaps there's a way to duplicate that notification into another app? Mirror the calendar, updated throughout the day, into a different app?
Thanks in advance!
Notifications from Mobileiron go & android for work are visualized on gear S3. Tested with Note 8 on nougat and oreo.

Do you know if this is the same for Outlook/Office 365 using Android for Work?
A colleague's notifications used to work, but have stopped since the migration to 365 & has not been able to get them back.
I use office 365 with gmail on android for work and it works fine. My company do not allow outlook app on AFW.
When I upgraded to oreo, notifications from work environment where hidden and not displayed on gear S3, I had to enable full visualization again from workspace app settings.
