Hi all,
Cannot really find anything about this here : has any of you succeeded in getting a dual boot / multi boot with different systems on our beloved Fairphone 2 ?
Thanks,
On the fairphone forum are reports of working setups with EfiDroid...

Hi everyone,
I compiled two recovery images for the TrekStor SurfTab Ventos 9.7 tablet (Rockchip / rk3066 based), both seem to work on my device but need more testing.
Currently I am cleaning up the patches and preparing them for review and I hope the changes that were required get merged upstream.
You will find those images here: http://www.deadlock.dhs.org/rk3066/progress.html
I use rkflashtool under Linux to flash (check your partition addresses! the below example works on my device):
Code:
rkflashtool w 0x00010000 0x00008000 < filename.img
I'd be happy to get feedback, I did some testing but I surely did not check everything, so let me know if I missed something or if something does not work as expected.
There is no warranty of any kind, it works for me but I'm not responsible if your device goes up in flames or stays dead forever.
Kind regards,
Jin
Hi
I've emailed you about the 10.1 image you released and its potential to work on a device I am currently developing on - the Sumvision Voyager 10.1".

I did not have time to continue on this yet, so did not try anything beyond recovery. Rockchip seems really a PITA, kernel is not fully open and there seem to be a lot of bugs here and there.
Hi,
Even if this thread will be taken out from the dead i just wanted to express my thanks as your mkbootimg helped me identifying the problem why my rockchip pad didn't want to start the cwm recovery.
Thanks and its a pity you stopped hacking android

I think he doesn't mean that dual booting. I think he means dualbooting between different ROMs. Like for my S3 I got Dual booting with Siyah Kernel between CM10.1 and 4.1.2 Touchwiz. For S3 you have much kernels supporting dual boot. So you just need to find the right kernel for your device. I think there are much devices having these kernels!
To tell the truth, I was not sure if it is what @siddheshvartak was looking for.
So dual-boot/multiboot only Android:
- some Xperias have a multiboot: LINK to thread
- Lenovo A390 and few other Lenovo smartphones
- Nexus 4, 5, 7 (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tassadar.multirommgr)
That's all I know about it.
I'm sure there is much more multiboot/dualboot equipped smartphones.
yehhh
I was talking about dual boot between the ROMs.....
I have tried numerous rooting tools including all the favorites both PC based and tablet download.
One forum I read suggested that it was impossible to root Intel devices.
Is this true? or does any one have the answer please?
The tablet in question will not support WiFiMulticast. This tablet will have one job in a hospitality environment. I just want to load a ROM that supports WiFi Multicast.
Hi there and welcome to assist,
Unfortunately there is only few info's about that, but not specifically for your device:
Teclast X70R - C7F9 - Tablet - Android 5.1.1 - Intel SoFIA Atom X3-C3230
Teclast X70 3G SoFIA Atom x3-C3130 Quad Core 7 Inch Android 4.4 Tablet PC IPS Screen
Or try some general methods from here: How to Root Any Device
You'll have to create an account to post in the main forums if you have any other questions.
Good luck
I've saw Sailfish OS ported to many devices, even older one like Xperia series.
I'm curious if any Developers here have project for Android One, especially the 1st generation.
My questions:
1. Is there any Sailfish OS rom for Android One? in now or near future (is there any related links)
2. Can i flash the Sailfish OS from other images, like for Redmi 1, would it work?
3. If I only want to try this OS, which device you guys recommend me to buy, just for flash the image and get experience?
4. from 1 to 11. How hard it is to port Sailfish OS till get it to work?
(im just common people with no developing and scripting skillz)
Thank you so much if you guys reading this.
(yes. i have broken english)
Hi everyone! This is my first post so..first of all I apologize for my grammar, I'm Spanish.
A few days ago I found at home a BQ phablet model Elcano 2 Quadcore. After charging and turning on the device I realized that it currently runs android 4.2.2. I managed to root my device so that I could update it to a more current version of android. The problem comes when I can't find any TWRP recovery or support on Lineage OS.
I have read that you can use the recovery of another device with the same specifications as mine but I have not found anything on the internet either.
Hope you can help me update my phablet. I don't need the latest version of android, by making my device useful I'm satisfied.
I downloaded the Aida64 application to know what processor I have:
MediaTek MT8389
4x ARM Cortex-A7 @ 1508MHz
1Gb Ram
32Gb ROM
7inch
Thanks dudes
