Hello guys,
i decided to make a new thread with all custom roms and stock based (4.2.2) roms for Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2, and say something little about them Here we go:
CUSTOM ROMS:
1. Cyanogenmod 13 by SandPox & no_name (Ishant Vivek)
- SandPox (Cyanogenmod forum) (http://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/...alaxy-trend-plus-s-duos-2-gt-s7580-gt-s7582/ )
- no_name (Ishant Vivek) (Xda forum) (http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7582/development/rom-cm13-0-galaxy-s-duos-2-trend-plus-t3307986//)
Beta version for now, had some bugs but nothing that you can't use you phone - I use it right now. Faster and smoother than CM12.1 - that means it's best custom rom for our phone. 2 SIMs working perfect.
2. Cyanogenmod 12.1 by SandPox ( http://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/...alaxy-trend-plus-s-duos-2-gt-s7580-gt-s7582// ) - Second best custom rom for S Duos 2. Words are unnecessary, CM12.1 speak for himself. It's stable, fast and smooth - 2 SIMs working perfect.
3. Ressurrection-Remix 5.5.9 Cyanogenmod 12.1 by no_name (Ishant Vivek) ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7582/development/rom-ressurrection-remix-5-5-9-s7580-t3325110 ) - Fastest CM12.1 (faster than SandPox CM12.1 and Temasek CM12.1. It's basicaly just like SandPox's but with much much much customizations. It's awesome how many customizations this rom have. All customizations are in Settings app.
4. Temasek Cyanogenmod 12.1 by no_name (Ishant Vivek) ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7582/development/rom-temaseks-cm12-1-galaxy-s-duos-2-t3295482 ) - CM12.1 just like SandPox's but with much much much customizations. It's awesome how many customizations this rom have. All customizations are in Settings app.
5. Cyanogenmod 11 by SandPox ( http://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/106239-romunofficialstablecm11galaxy-trend-plus-gt-s7580/ ) - It's stable and without bugs - 2 SIMs working perfect.
STOCK (4.2.2.) BASED ROMS:
1. MilkTea® ROM by John Christopher Mediavillo Llaguno ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/rom-milktea-rom-samsung-galaxy-s-duos-2-t3146849 ) - Best custom stock rom for now, it's preety nice, it' has nice colours something like material desing, and it's fast too. it' has one bug (Google Play Service Force Close) but you can fix it.
2. Next Is Now S6 Experience by almamun512 ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/custom-rom-samsung-s-duos-2-gt-s7582-s6-t3102845 ) - Very nice rom, it's has a S6 feel. I used this ROM for long time, it' has no bugs if you install it properly.
3, Lolipop Extreme V2 by almamun512 ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/lolipop-extreme-rom-samsung-s-duos-2-gt-t3030181 ) - Nice rom in visual way - similar with Next Is Now S6 Experience, but Next Is Now S6 Experience is a little better. I use this rom very short and don't remember about bugs.
4. Lolipop Extreme Rom by almamun512 ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/che...ipop-extreme-rom-samsung-s-duos-2-gt-t3033967 ) - Didn't use this rom, but it looks like Lolipop Extreme V2, maybe it's better to use Lolipop Extreme V2 because it's a second version of the same rom by the same developer.
5. S5 themed deodexed Rom by almamun512 ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/s5-themed-deodexed-rom-samsung-galaxy-s-t2955229 ) Nothing special, almost look like stock 4.2.2 rom - It's first almamun512 rom, better use his Next Is Now S6 Experience or Extream Lollipop V2.
6. Custom Firmware+S5 TouchwizUI THEME by Rex Pestaño ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2794268 ) - First custom rom i ever try, nothng special, almost look like stock 4.2.2. You can skip it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CUSTOM KERNEL:
1. BLACKHORSE for 4.2.2 STOCK ROM by Yasinarefin ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/kernel-samsung-gt-7582-gt-7580-t3093976 ) - Fast kernel, with lot of tweaks., but it's beta version that means it's unstable.
That's that guys, sorry for my bad English, but i think you all will understand.
Happy flashing and modifying your devices.

yes, sir
Damn CM went down they haven't made an update since 8/22/2016. I was always on a phone and not computers when I was looking at how to build ROMs on their device wiki so I never downloaded anything or saved any info. Does anyone know about droid mini templates and Creation of ROM? I like this RRemix, and since CM went down , maybe one day I could try and compile a RR ROM for personal use if anyone could help. Or if this were updated that would be really cool too..
Thanks
Can I flash this rom if my phone have locked bootloader?
Since linageos hasent made a ROM for Obake yet would it be possible for you to make a RR with 13 or 14? Or possibly just an update with security updates? Your RR is a lot better than CM was.
Thinks

Just wanted to give a quick shoutout to @thinhx2 for building this ROM. Last week my trusty Nexus 6 (with that sweet Oreo flavor) bit the dust and so I had to bring out the old trusty Droid Maxx as a temporary replacement until the Pixel 2 arrives next month. I flashed this over stock 4.4.4 and the difference is night and day. Thank you for building this (even if it was almost a year and a half ago) and for keeping the download link available. It has made living with a four year old device actually enjoyable. Thank you! :good::good:

what i like about this Rom Resurrection Remix 7.1.2. mostly is the customizaion, on the issue of perfomance i think you are right, it is kinda not that smooth. So among the Nougat Roms for our Device, which one would you suggest to be put No. 1 on the list, coz i would like one of the Naugats to be No.1, so which Rom do you suggest. By the way, Thanks to all our developers inlcuding you @DodoGTA for pulling out the Naugat for Galaxy Dous 2.
Also @DodoGTA let's continue our discussion on this post
thank you..

The rom " [UNOFFICIAL]LineageOS 14.1" is cool however does not support call recording. Knowing that I would not flash it to my phone. You may consider to put this note to the rom notes.

Because it uses Dalvik by default (Actual Lollipop+ ROMs use ART, and that uses AOT compiling, which means higher storage for apps)

Everyone enjoy! Please let me know of any more bugs I may have missed and what you think!
Nice work pal.
Working more "fluently" than previous MM port.. The new Pixel launcher is awesome!
- Settings App randomly crashed few times
- Just one Beep-tone to use with default alarm clock.. (downloaded Oreo alarm tones and copied to the alarms/ringtones folder)
- Baseband version - uknown is normal?
Thank you for the effort and time you put in, tremendous work!!!
Found one bug: the security settings keep crashing the app. Otherwise great work!
I want to try it out.. But I am having Lenovo a7600 F version.(mt8121 or mtk6582 I don't know) .. Does it work perfectly.. Or will it brick my device because I don't know how to recover or anything. I just know flashing rom...and the device is already running cm 13 with twrp recovery

A7600-F should be MT6582.. Mine is performing way better with Lineage OS 14, than with the CM 13..
Just backup your data, install/update TWRP-3.1.0-0 recovery, go to advanced wipe and select Dalvik/ART Cache, Data, Cache and System.
Install ROM and straight away Gapps, wipe Dalvik/Cache and hit reboot.
It's working perfect.. But the issue is with speaker and also I entered twrp on lineage os 14, but storage was encrypted so I had to flash stock rom

Thanks, so far only the 7.1 roms that say they are for 3.4.67 kit kat are able to be ported like the ones you posted from romclaims. I've been working on Resurrection Remix 7.1.2 port and it has less bugs than this Lineage OS 14.1 however its really laggy. So ill try the new DOT OS you linked to that was posted yesterday and report back.

Thanks for your good work. I have flashed the rom, but when the tablet is off and I connect the charger, it switch on and load lineage. Then if I disconnect the charger, it switch off suddenly, is it normal?
(If I start the tablet and when lineage is loaded I connect the charger, it charges normally, and if I disconnect the charger, the tablet continues on)
