[Completed] Xiaomi RN3 fingerprint not working

I switched from MIUI 8.1.1.0 to official Lineage OS 14.1 2017.1.25 (with Gapps pico). First i noticed, that my fingerprint not working, so i thought, that maybe i have a goodix sensor, and Lineage OS doesn't support it. Then I flashed the unofficial 2017.1.08 goodix build by Minz1 (https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-3/development/rom-minz1s-lineageos-rom-t3528736), but that didn't help. Then I flashed Ressurrection remix 5.8.0 2017.1.14, but it had the same issue.
I even tried to flash a CM firmware, but nothing changed.
What should I do?

The most accurate help can be found in the thread that you already posted above
Most probably this lineageOS and the other custom roms based on it aren`t fully functional for your device and this is the risk that users must take
You can always flash back the original rom in order to have a working device

Resurrection Remix 5.5.9 PORT for Bluboo Xfire

Disclaimer: I am not responsable of problems derivate of using the rom, I use myself, it worked great, and I shared it.
This is Resurrection Remix 5.5.9 (Android 5.1.1) for our Bluboo XFire, ported from http://www.pharaohs-team.com/2016/10/resurrection-remix-559-51mt6735.html, and using help of mtkroms and Google, lot of thanks to all
The rom works properly, Video playback and recorder, GPS (Not ever, but works), WiFi, Bluetooth, Games, Audio…
Its stable for daily use, and for me is better than stock, without losing nothing (It has Enginner mode and FmRadio inclusive)
It can have some minor bugs (Only I found is after installing gapps first reboot to desktop not works until opening settings, but then all right).
It comes in a zip file that can be flashed using "Recovery Carliv" from here too, or CWM/TWRP if you find one.
EDIT: If link for Recovery Carliv doesn't work, here are a copy.
Gapps are not preinstalled, you can download zip in opengapps.org and flash it after my zip

With this mtk6735 I searched for a rom for this chipset there and modify using there guide and adding some other things

With this rom I was happy, but I still using again stock one because dual sim doesnt work right :crying:
I'm not actively using this phone, I use a THL 4000 (Older), but sometimes I use it, its a good phone, except my has the screen somewhat bad callibrated...

Bugs/Issues:
LiveDisplay - need to turn it off in settings and it will fine.
Deep Sleep might not work all the time - need to turn off LED light notificanions in settings, You can only leave LED light for charging, and deep sleep comes back. This is a best ROM for HT16 Pro for now.

It can be ported to mtk6735 ×64 bit processor. I think it could be now cross porting bcz HT16 pro have mtk6737 soc? But same kernel version that i had.

VOLTE works, but keep in mind that the MT6735 does not support VOLTE
And also, you can port this ROM if you have a MT6735 / 6737 / 6753 device on 3.18.19 64bit x64

I have MT6735 also support volte and it's stock AOSP.( Kernel 3.18.19+) I download RR of official Coolpad note 3 lite but stuck on boot logo.
I port some ROM but can't fix camera and volte. When fixing volte bugs it goes on boot stuck. Can you have solution for this problem?

Try porting from this one, This is from Oukitel U7 Plus, and this is also on 64 bits x64 and 3.18.19 kernel, and also it includes security patches to December 2017

There are no bugs, and yes VOLTE is working from what I saw on the forum

Hey, I'm unable to port this ROM cause stuck on boot logo. But BTW thank for support. volte is not support on U7 pro official stock and this RR because no init.volte.rc file present in this ROM.

Weird, I also did the same thing and I have no issues with Gapps
Try updating WebView, I had a similar problem on another ROM, when adding a Google account it would force close, I updated WebView and it worked, maybe it should also work for you

I have a idea, When you go to the Setup Wizard, do not configure Wi-Fi or Google account there, just skip all and after you finish Setup Wizard, configure it manually , That's what I did when I configured Resurrection Remix
UPDATE: You don't need SuperSU as the ROM comes with root pre included, you need to activate on the Developer settings and enable on the Apps and ADB, maybe thats the problem SuperSU is outdated and you probably better stick with Resurrection own Root that comes pre build in or use Magisk

Bluetooth audio works fine, I just tested it with a JBL Go Bluetooth speaker and it worked just fine, Try increasing the volume on the Bluetooth Headset/Speaker

I give up. I've tried it at least 30 times now. each time I do a fresh clean installation (delete dalvik, cache, data ...) and then opengapps. in the last try without supersu. I skip the setup, but it just does not work.
why does it work with the old version but not with the current one?

Maybe you have a different revision of the phone (?), What stock firmware did your phone came?, mine came with 1.1.3 stock rom
There not much I can do it, I even reinstalled the ROM to see if I could replicate your issue and there was no problem with the Google Apps
Have you tried picking another Gapps, instead of Pico, try flashing the mini or micro one

Nice, at least you got lucky that you only had VOLTE not working, most MediaTek Custom ROMs have mostly broken stuff, on my HOMTOM, only Deep Sleep is not properly working and probably VOLTE too (I have no idea if VOLTE is even working, My mobile operator has no support for VOLTE, so VOLTE isn't a big deal for me

Thank you mate. This is my favourite android 10 build.
My device feels at home. Smooth, responsive, no crashes (atm). Temperature is stable. Battery life is very acceptable. Audio levels are normal.
Beautiful rom!
Edit update - Bluetooth intermittently works while streaming and on calls. Same problem that some earlier android 10 roms experienced.
System UI crashed when accessing MEGA app. Device froze so I popped the battery and rebooted.

Thanks for the hard work brother. This is the finest rom for s5 out there. It has these following problems, Fonts don't show everywhere. Only in settings and quicksettings. Everywhere else like on keyboard and apps roboto font shows. No option to disable hardware keys. When setting long press action of home button to screenshot, settings crashes. I have sm-g900T and Sm-g900P....works on both

Working fine in my G900M but im having some problems with my signal (LTE) its very unestable but usable im having this trouble in all aosp roms in tw is working fine sometimes social-media apps like facebook turns in a black screen but i can close and re-open the app finally the bt works fine in file transference but play music and call using bt headphones is bad (i cant describe it because my english is very bad)

its for all SNAPDRAGON variant (KLTEXX) i tink in my case im using a KLTEUB (G900M)

Thanks for perfect work but mobile data not working in your build on g900f.

Network issues
(G900M)
Mobile data not working. It recognizes the network protocol (GSM/WCDMA/LTE) but no data is transferred. Bluetooth fail and crashes when listening to music on Deezer app, works fine with videos on VLC (Didn't tested other music app).

What solved this issue to me: On TWRP, do a Factory Reset (Wipe > Factory Reset) right after flashing the ROM, before first system boot.

Tested this rom. Too many random reboots. When open a submenu and go back the menu goes up and down. For example in settings app we open any submenu and press back then the list automatically goes a bit up then again down.

I'm using the original crDroid now. can anybody test music playing? on the original one when playing music for 10 -15 minutes it start to lag like hell and systemUI crashes and the phone goes unstable until restart it. can someone try it on this rom and tell the result?
also how is the speaker and phone sound on this rom? because the original rom sound is very low...

I think you are talking about this rom.
Please post your problems and questions to the original thread because every rom developers are different. They can't help you on other roms.

i cant flash gapps it says cant mount /system

Hello, thank you for creating a custom ROM. My wife uses Lenovo Phab Plus with stock ROM 5.1.1, but it is laggy even after a factory reset. How is the smoothness of this custom ROM? Can it be used as a daily driver? (Sorry, I cannot just try it because it is not mine)

i have the exact same problem! cant have both the rom installed and gapps! if i install gapps the recommned one i will get stuck on boot and cant install from open gapps either! i have a lineage os now without gapps! plz help

Sorry for the late reply, everything works fine except for Camera, GPS seems to be funky. It is pretty smooth, much better than the stock ROM.

could you try making the device treble supported like people have done for other devices?
cause in a gsi its possible camera might work

No it won't, it needs the vendor implementation to work too.
