Phone: HTC M9
Installed twrp-3.0.2-0-hima.img everything fine. Went to boot recovery to install SR3-SuperSU-v2.79-SR3-20170114223742.zip but on reboot im getting looping htc screen. I tried wiping first cash then dalvik/art then factory, then format "i don't know if i should have done that but im freakn' out!". I then tired putting SuperSU-v2.79-201612051815 and installing that. still looping.

I rooted my G2 via the instructions and download in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=928160
I did not flash the hboot.
Phone seemed to work fine after that. But then I downloaded ClockWorkMod Rom Manager and downloaded CM7. When I installed it, my phone comes up to the boot screen, runs for a second, then reboots.... it just keeps rebooting.
Using the factory reset, I can get back into the recovery, so I tried to install CM6.1 from my sd card, but the exact same thing happens (endless boot screen reboots).
What can I do? Thank you for any help.
Fixed.
All I had to do was clear the dalvik cache.
i was installing one one of the kernel and i freezes at the gx2 logo, so tried recovery and it just sits at the gx2 screen. how bad did i mess it up?

After you flash a kernel the first boot does take a couple minutes, but flashing another rom should do it
cool ill try that, thanks
reflashed a new rom it boots up but i have no service and it starts restarting itself, i went back to recovery and did a factory reset and nothing, do i now need to get a new phone.

Just boot into recovery, factory reset it, clear the Dalvik cache, format the system and install the stock GB rom or another rom. If you don't clear the Dalvik cache and wipe the system before installing roms or kernels you get bootloop problems such as this. Your phone is okay. The G2X is virtually unbrickable. It just gets indigestion form operator error when flashing roms.
ok so i factory reseted, cleared the cache and the dalvic. my phone wont read the gb stock rom, i dl unto my external card

Did you do a Nand Backup with CWM before flashing the kernel? If so, restore the phone how it was before you mucked it up.
one-click unbrick not working! still stuck in boot loop after a "successful unbrick!"
it started with my sd card not being read.
I factory reset/wiped the system cache and dalvik cache
still wouldnt read my sd card. I re-installed cm 10 and got stuck in a boot loop at the cynogenmod screen
I factory reset/wiped the system cache and dalvik cache again
then the phone got stuck in a bootloop at the samsung screen and the phone wouldnt access cwm recovery.
I tried super one click unbrick and nothing. tried a couple of entrophy's one clicks, still nothing.
i can atleast access red recovery now but the system wont mount which im guessing is why the phone is stuck in a boot loop.
Cache wont mount either and i cant flash any roms
Any help?

You have to repartition as well. You may also want to give heimdall a try

I have an HTC Inspire 4G earlier i rooted it with lordmodUEv8.6 and it booted fine except i did not have working wi-fi. I then tried to flash Inspire4G_Stock_Kernel_r34p3rex (1).zip and phone got stuck in boot loop, I have cleared cache dalvik and normal and also tried data reset to no avail. This phone does have CWM recovery on it. I am a noob. I just want to know if there is a better way to get it out of loop, i have the RUU program but i cant find a way to connect the phone to PC in order to proceed. Any help is greatly appreciated
try this http://xda-university.com/as-a-user/how-to-recover-from-a-bootloop
Ok I just got my brand new OnePlus One in the mail today. Opened the box, loved the design and build quality, etc... Powered it up for the first time all good, played around with it for a few minutes, liking everything. An update option popped up for 38r, I did the update, maybe I shouldn't have., but too late. I did the update, then phone rebooted, and everything good again
So then time to root this beast. I went through the typical steps, all good, got TWRP Recovery installed easily, then flashed SuperSU.zip in Recovery, it said successful, I pressed Reboot System, and here's the issue, the phone is just stuck on the boot animation screen. I see the Octagon CM animation spinning, but it just spins, and spins, and spins, not going any further.
So now what ?
What I'd do is to install a custom ROM but I'm pretty sure if you perform a factory reset it would boot back up. Also try wiping the cache. This is what I'd do but there might be alternative solutions out there.

I went into TWRP Recovery did a Factory Reset, then reboot system, and IT WORKED
No idea I had to do a factory reset in Recovery to make it work.
