Do Not Disturb mode : can no longer get into menu - Huawei Mate 9 Questions & Answers

My phone is automatically going into DND at 9pm everyday.
But when go to settings and click on DND it just jumps back to home screen. I can't get into menu to change time or deselect option anymore.
I can manually switch it off via quick settings but obviously something isn't right.

Are clicking on the little arrow on the far right rather than the centre of the panel?

[Q] Always open Quick Settings?

Hi,
it's pretty annoying that you have to tap twice to open the quick settings... first tapping the clock and then the settings symbol.
Is there any way to always open the quick settings?
may only if there are no notifications?
Thanks!
I just put the settings app which you can find in the "other" section when you long press on your home screen, onto my home screen. Just one tap needed now to get to them.
yes, but that opens just the normal settings menu...
i like the settings-popup, it would be cool if this could be modified and always opens for quick access

Screentimeout Mode

While roaming through my phones settings I discovered the following setting and cant seem to find out exactly what each number refers to.
Settings\System\Notification Drawer\Widget Buttons\Screentimeout Modes
It shows the following:
15s/1m/5m
30s/2m/5m
These appear to be screen time out settings but does anyone know what each number is referencing?

Click to collapse
I think its obvious
15 seconds / 1 minute / 5 minutes
30 seconds/ 2 minutes / 5 minutes
It'll work this way.
If u select the first option and then touch the screentimeout button thrice, it will toggle between 15s / 1m and 5 m
The second option will toggle between 30s, 2 m and 5 m
What is the difference between the ScreenTimeOut setting vs.Display\Sleep?
And I am not sure where I would find the ScreenTimeOut button.
I don't know.the difference exactly. I think it's the same
Pull down ur status bar. Do u see buttons at the top? one of them is the screen timeout button
OK, that's why I could not see it it was not ticked in the settings to show on the bar. Weird and possibly redundant feature though.
It's not weird...screen timeout means when your phone will switch off the screen...sleep means your phone will switch off the screen+go into standby mode...sleep mode saves battery but take longer time to reload your previous activity...
OK, I (without reading of course) thought the Display setting turned the screen off not hibernated the phone.
I have posted this in another thread recently but are you aware of any tweak or setting that will prevent the screen from blanking when using the dialer? It will not blank if I call voicemail (I guess it knows more keys will be entered) however, other calls immediately blank even though I have more keys to press. I have tried for some time to locate a setting or fix to no avail.

how to add a button on quick settings panel

please, can any tellme how to add the button "mobile data" to the quick settings panel, because when open the menu, the button its not there, so I need to get this function beside the wifi button... please any help?
Pull down the notification panel, then pull down a second time to expand the quick setting tiles. The mobile data tile should be listed there. You may need to add it or move it to be shown next to Bluetooth quick settings tile by pressing the "menu icon" , the 3 vertical dots, by the gear in the top right. Then choose button order. Simply hold down the tile you wish to move it'll vibrate and then allow you to drag to a different location.

Just realized the data tile had been disabled and is not available on the Galaxy SO for some stupid reason. Found this article that will allow you to add it. www.xda-developers.com/how-to-resto...ttings-tile-toggle-on-samsung-galaxy-devices/
Check out the comments below the article,as there is a shortcut.

Kids mode

How do you enable this? I have searched through the settings and even went into the galaxy store to download it with it not showing in the store. Any thoughts or ideas?
swipe down 2 times on the notification area then swipe left., after that you will see a button called Kids home there.
That was the first thing I tried. I dont have any options in the toolbar for a kids mode. I have the Verizon version....not sure that it should matter. I would still think the option for kids mode would be there.
Well it does matter. Carriers carry great weight with Samsung, and Verizon has decided that you don't get kids mode.

To me, the power saving mode is the kids's mode
There is barely anything they can do
Have you checked it's not just hidden? Pull quick settings all the way down, hit the 3 dot menu and open button order. If it's at the top as shown in the screenshot you can long press and drag into the lower menu

Question Notification won't go away

I had this notification appear just at the bottom of the slide down menu and I can't get it to go away can someone tell me if I'm going crazy or is it supposed to be there?
click the gear icon near it and turn the slider off.
it should disappear
Thanks so much I couldn't get that to go away I ended up factory resetting it
For future reference, that appears when you have developer options enabled. If you disable dev options, it goes away.
