My Galaxy S6 Edge Plus died on me this week, and TMO exchanged it under warranty for a refurbished S7. It looks completely good, and is performing as it should.
My question is, has anyone gotten a refurb S7, and how was the experience with the phone? Thanks for any feedback given.
Generally speaking, refurbished phones are hit or miss. The second you see/experience any issues I would let t-mobile know ASAP.

My S3 has previous water damage. It has now finally stopped working altogether. I have a year left on my contract w/ no insurance, so I now have to get a new S3. I wanted to check if anybody knew of a cheap source for a refurb/used phone?? I see phones are about $300 on ebay. Verizon wants $450 for full retain replacement.
Thanks for any advice!
Sounds about right. GS3 still carries good value because it's easily rooted.... compared to the s4
The price sounds about right but are you checking on Swappa at all? I've heard they have good prices. I'd want to meet in person and check with Verizon that the phone is clean though.
That's crazy that both of them are on backorder. I am assuming it's due to the recall of the Note 7 and it not being sold any longer. What is the most annoying is that I need a warranty exchange and have to wait so long. Anyone else having issues with this backorder and want their phones sooner?
Also if anyone can help me to understand why my phone drains so fast these past few weeks. Nothing is different.

Your warranty exchange with TMO has nothing to do with the T-Mobile new inventory though.

Are you saying I should be getting it on time without having to wait long?
Correct, you would be getting the replacement from the refurb inventory
Have you gotten your replacement yet? I have been waiting since the 5th of November. No time frame yet.
Hey all,
I'm getting sent a replacement from Google due to my current device having a faulty power button. (It works whenever it feels like it)
Are the refurbished phones clean looking like new phones? I love the look of the phone itself and have had bad experiences with refurbs (HTC).
And since it's from the Google Store, it's still rootable?
I would assume yes it's still Rootable. The refurbished units are good but I notice there was two scratches on the edge of the housing with mine. I assume it was there due to a previous screen replacement.
Should still be rootable..
If the phone you sent them was a Google bought phone yes it is rootable. If you sent them a Verizon phone probably not.
I haven't gotten a refurbished Pixel. Luckily I haven't needed it, but I did get a refurbished Nexus 5X because it boot looped, and it looked brand new.
I just received a refurbished phone and I wouldn't have even been able to tell it wasn't brand new.
Thanks everyone for replying. I received my refurbished unit and like everyone said, it looked brand new! Only issue was that Sprint was unable to get it working on their Network. For some reason, the IMEI and the MEID were entirely different. I went through 4 techs before the last one informed me that those two numbers should only be off by one, and mine were entirely different. So, Google is sending me out another refurbished one.
Wish me luck. ?
Good luck. I am going on my 4th replacement. First 2 couldn't lock onto gps satellites and my current phone died while on a road trip. I haven't rooted or modded my device and use the chargers+cables I bought from Google. There are only 2 months left for the warranty and afraid I will have an 800 dollar brick after the warranty expires.

I am sad that Samsung abandoned this phone. I got my note the first day it came out in 2014. Went to work late to pick it up. Best phone I ever had.
But I have worn it out. just got the note 8 and am sadly disappointed. Especially with the notifications. So I have 10 days to rake this back. Does anyone know where I can find a real, new, Samsung note for t-mobile? Amazon and ebay all say they have new but it ends up being refurbished. ANY help you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Hello all.
I was wondering if anyone here has tried out refurbished Samsung mobile.
Is there any kind of problems you encountered?
Would you recommend refurbished Samsung mobiles?
I did use one. The only thing was some screen burn-in. But everything else was just great. No heat, no drain, no issues.
Refurbished phones are phones sent back by warranty for a fault it faced, it gets repaired, the put back for sale.
If you are to buy a recent, refurbished device, my guess is that it won't have any problem, lately, certain tests are done to ensure the phone is fine before selling it.
But you should at least test the phone before buying, if you don't know how, consult a friend.
I definitely don't recommend refurbished phones even if they're a sun-glare copy of original.
