[DATA 4G] Android OS battery drain - Huawei Mate 9 Questions & Answers

Hello,
I actually use 2 phones honor 6x and mate 9
Android 6 for the first and 7 for the second
Inside Huawei rom you can switch off data for applications, I can to it on both but:
The honor 6x is able to stop gsm connection for system process "OS Android" but I can't do the same in the mate 9 rom: you can switch it off but it return immediately (only for "OS Android" all others works well.)
Some screenshots to see it:
OS Android switched off: no more data usage,
long life for the battery (up to 6 days !! 1,5 if I switch it on again)
Can't switch it off on the mate 9:
it come back to on:
Up to 1,5 day battery life max, as the honor 6x when switched on:
You can see some B/s when Android OS is switch On
Do you know how I can turn it off in the mate 9 rom ?
Mate 9 will be perfect for me with this option !
regards
Valery

Any comment ?

I cannot seem to find the Settings that you are mentioning here. And it's most probably the result of Learning User Algorithm developed and integrated by Huawei in Nogat OS of Mate 9.
Suleman Talpur.
Mate 9.

Worked before. Now it doesn't work anymore. Anyone knows why?

Lollipop 5.1 Upgrade - Post your experience

Yesterday evening I successfully installed new factory image i.e. Lollipop 5.1 on my Nexus 5 D821.
Here I am mentioning my experience after using it for almost one day:
1. Overall device performance in regards of speed is same as it wan in 5.0.1
2. Some graphic changes are there with new icons.
3. New shortcuts introduced for WiFi and Bluetooth settings.
4. In camera application there is one black dot appearing in middle. I haven't tested it with any other camera application. (I will update later)
5. Battery performance is poor as of now I am using, even poorer than on previous ROM.
Does anyone want to comment or share there experience?
1. Battery Improvements, now i can usw my GWatch again, in 5.0.1 it drains the phone battery empty in about 4 Hours -.- now same percentages in phone and Watch.
it will be better if we keep the discussion in the existing 5.1 update thread..
So far the OS itself feels a lot better, but I left my phone over night, sync off WiFi on. Location off. Lost 30% in 7 hours. I had a wake lock the entire night. So my experience? After almost 48 hours of using this, its rubbish.

EMUI 5.1 - Don't kill my app options doesn't work

do you have an workaround to deactivate this horrible Battery manager please?
I have already tried the options through the battery manager from dontkillmyapp.com/huawei
This goddamn battery manager quits always backround-apps and tasks.
It's an Honor 6A from 2017 with EMUI 5.1/Android 7 and rooted.
How You able to root?

MIUI 11 or MIUI 12?

Hi, so I ordered a k30 pro and have been reading about a lot of issues here related to MIUI 12. As far as I understand, I'll have MIUI 11 out of the box and will have the option to update to MIUI 12.
My question is, should I stay on MIUI 11 due to the battery and bug issues, or should I update to MIUI 12?
Got a Poco F2 Pro and upgraded the second I could and I don't face any major problems listed here.
My battery life is more than great. With flight mode on at night it's often 0% down after ~7h sleep. Sometimes it's 1%.
Also with normal usage (mostly browsing, chatting, little gaming) I getting easily more than 10h display on time.
Right now i got 6h48min and got 46% left.
MIUI12
If you want to get a better experience, then you can consider update to MIUI12,better private protection and smoother UI.
Go for 12. Worth the upgrade.

This is a Chinese phone, Chinese software with their "security app" integrated very deep into the system and Google services on top of it - there is no such thing as "privacy protection".

(HELP) Zenfone 6 Screen on Time drop after update to Android 11

Hello my dear old friends.
It's been a while since i don't write on XDA but i have a problem that i can't solve.
I have a Zenfone 6 since 2 years, i have been allways super happy with this phone: good camera, good perfromance, good battery and, best of all, 7:30 hours of Screen on time with 2 days of use per single charge...
Since the last update to android 11 my screen on time dropped badly ...i can barely reach 6 hours... tipical resoult is 5:30 hours...
This means i have "magically" lost 2 hours of screen on time...
Searching the web i have found some advice that i tried:
-disable facebook services
-disalbe some functions...
- factory reset
- back to android 10
- back again to android 11
- another factory reset...
none of theese have worked so far...
Can you please help me?
What am i missing?
What am i doing wrong?
Basically i can't use the phone as i was doing before...
I post a screnshot of the battery screen
please help...
Turn off Wifi, Location, Bluetooth,NFC scanning.
Turn off "Knock twice to retract camera"
Use Greenify to kill unused apps.

Android 12, No Developer Mode ?

Just noticed this on my UMIDIGI G1 Max Android 12 that the Developer Mode option cannot be enabled by tapping the Build 7 times. Anyone have similar experience with their Android 12 phones ?
