PROBLEM FIXED -Bluetooth on gears2 /note 5 keeps disconnecting
Hi guys,i'm new to this forum. Came across it a few days ago when i needed assistance. I have been wearing my gear s2 classic and note 5 for approx. a year now . As of last week it kept disconnecting and connecting every five minutes which became really frustrating. I was missing important calls and message as my phone is on silent and gear on vibrate mode. After trying numerous attempts of clearing the Bluetooth cache and even hard reset watch and phone twice . It still did the same. I contacted my buddy over at Samsung headquaters is South africa to confirm my warranty date on my note 5. Thats how far i was heading, to return the headset for a new one. Luckily my warranty expires in October 2017. He then advised me the following
1) Check gear software updated - My gear was updated.
2)Check phone software updated- My phone was not updated.
So i got down to doing the update, size was around 1.4 GB
A fast WiFi connection will take approx. 15 minutes.
Had this done 2 days ago
Problem solved :good:
Phone looks and feel way better with the updated software and Gear has not disconnected since then.
Hope this helps.

[HELP] Sony Smartwatch MW1 Trouble

Hi XDA
I have a bit of a problem with my Smartwatch. I have tried every single 'fix' out there (self proclaimed techie, I usually google my problems first. making a post is a last resort). I got the watch since Christmas, and I've been working on it since
Heres my problem
I use a Feiteng N9300+ (S3 clone) and my smartwatch would pair to it, but disconnect every time I turn on the watch to check the time then reconnect around 5-10 seconds later. Apps wont work, they used to (with sheer luck, approx. 4% of the time) but after I formatted my phone apps don't show up at all.
I tried the watch with my Viewsonic G Tablet and it works, so I've narrowed it down to a faulty bluetooth chip within my phone, or a software related problem. Its probably the software
Any fixes? (I've tried Bluetooth keep alive and around 10 other apps, and around 20 'fixes' )
Thanks in advance

Note 5 + s2 always in standalone mode

Hi was wondering if anyone has the same problem and found possible fix, so for no apparent reason my watch will go into standalone mode and then I have to reconnect with the phone with the connect button in the app I've taken the phone to a Samsung tech at best buy and he had no clue he said if it continues to call Samsung back
Update was on the phone with Samsung for a while and finally they agree to warranty the watch so I'm mailing it back 2morrow will update again in 7 to 10 days when it's returned on how the whole process worked out for me
Okay so I jumped the gun and before Samsung could return my old watch I purchase the new watch with 4G and the same problem continues so I went ahead and called tmobile to repair the note 5 they sent me a new note 5 yesterday and everything is AOK working perfectly connected via bluetooth since yesterday
The Note 5 has a serious Bluetooth problem. No one's figured out why yet. We're all just returning the phones. Search for Note 5 Bluetooth disconnect and you'll see huge threads.
How do i get out of standalone mode

Push notifications on 3G issue

Hi,
I just bought a Galaxy S7 and I already met some annoyances.
Indeed, my first surprise was when I realized that I had no access to google now because of "google now is not avaialble in your country" while on my old Nexus 4, it worked perfectly!
Well okay, but my second concern, the most important, is that when connected over 3G, if I leave the phone about an hour or further without using it, when I turn back the screen to use it, push notifications do not arrive immediately, but around 10 to 15 minutes after. I tried a factory reset yesterday but I still face delayed notifications...
I found on a forum that turning off and on the airplane mode would help, and it indeed speed up the reception of notification, but it's not a durable solution...
Any help ?
PS: Sorry for my inperfect english

Watch only vibrates once and then no more until a reboot

I just got the Gear Fit2 Pro this week and began using it yesterday as I also have a Gear S3, so the first thing I noticed is that I was missing all my notifications. The watch doesn't have a speaker so we just rely on the vibration to know that we got a notification.
At some point yesterday I noticed that I had about 4 or 5 emails and other notifications pending but never felt the vibration, so I immediately went to the settings to see if there was a Vibration intensity or something but I just noticed that the only other option besides the vibration on and off is the long buzz, so it should vibrate longer for each notification. I decided to give that a try but the same thing, no vibration with the notification.
I decided to reboot the watch and then as soon as I received the first notification it vibrated but then no more vibration after that, so it seems that it only vibrates once after each reboot (I have tested it a couple of times now).
Looking around on Google and other forums I can't find another Gear Fit2 Pro with the same issue but there are dozens of similar reports from Gear Fit2 users, one of them worried me a little as he said that it was fixed only asking for service from Samsung, I think he mentioned that they replaced the vibration motor or something.
Problem for me is that I got this used on Swappa, no receipts, so no service from Samsung (I don't live in Continental US so here in Puerto Rico we don't exist for them) plus the seller, original owner, insists that it was working fine when he had it. I know that I can always open a claim on Paypal and ask for a full refund but I was just wondering if this is indeed a software issue and not hardware, I mean, it works after a reboot, that alone tells me that it may be software related. So I'm wondering if someone else is having or had a similar issue and if it was solved, somehow.
I've resetted it twice now and I'm currently testing it again, I just did a reset an hour ago, so I'm hoping for the best, but if you have any more details about this I'd really appreciate any help you may provide to me, thanks
I've the same issue it vibrates only one

Gear s3 classic changes time and date by itself

Hello wise people!
I'm having a strange issue with my almost 2 year old gear s3 classic.
It started 5th of January, where someone asked what time it was and my watch was several hours ahead, and the date was 2 years off.
It had happened 5 times since, it can be 1 hour or 20 hours ahead/behind, and the date can be a couple of days off or several years...
The watch is connected via bluetooth, and wifi on auto, so it shouldnt change the time/date since my phone is correct.
It's fixed by turning the watch off and on again, i also tried restoring it to factory but didn't help.
It's paired with and IPhone X btw.
Is there anything i can try? Or should i sent it in on warranty? (warranty runs out in march)
No one?
