TWRP not flashing to P900 - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Have a P900 here and I cannot managed to get TWRP to flash. My steps:
1) Using Odin 3.07 and 3.12.3
2) Downloaded v1awifi-recovery.tar AND twrp-3.0.2-1-v1awifi.img.tar
3) Boot tablet into download mode
4) In Odin, select the recovery file in PDA
5) Flash. No error messages. Everything states success.
6) Reboot into recovery and its the stock recovery
I tried with both versions of Odin and both recovery files. Any ideas?

This has been resolved. In Odin, uncheck "Auto Reboot". Then power down and reboot into recovery manually.

I can't get my tab out of download mode.
I have tried flashing the latest recovery (GT-P5110_TWRP_2.6.3.6.tar.md5) and the newest ROM from Sammobile with no luck.
Any ideas?

If still download mode
Try again flash stock rom
Do not flash twrp before root
Have you flashed anything else before?
Maybe uncheck "Auto-Reboot" in Odin, when Odin finished flashiung wait 1 minute, after that directly reboot into recovery from Download-Mode.
Maybe try a different Odin Version - someone reported Odin 3.09 doesn´t flash correctly on P5113

I have. I'm using Odin 3.185 and the stock ROM flashes OK... Install everything without issue... And it goes right into download mode. Even when I try to turn it off, it will turn itself back on in download mode.

Successfully Flashed TWRP, But Entering Original Recovery

Hi, this is not my first time flashing TWRP on this phone. And I have been successful so far.
Today I use Odin to flash TWRP, and it went through just fine (see screenshot), but when I enter the recovery mode, it says "Android system recovery <3e> LMY47X.G920FXXU2COH2 on top and I am very confused. I tried a few times and apparently I cannot enter TWRP while Odin kept telling me I have flashed it successfully...
Did you have "Auto-Reboot" ticked on Odin? On my Note 4 that used to mean the kernel would reflash the stock recovery upon booting. You need to untick this, turn the S6 off after flashing and then boot directly into recovery using power + home + vol up
Nope. On the S6 auto-reboot menas what it does. The phone gets rebooted after the flash is done.
To the OP: You used the correct file to flash? USed AP mode in ODIN?
I had same problem. I think you need to have rooted kernel through odin first. Idk, that us what i did.
Just so everyone knows how I solved this. I wiped everything and flash TWRP and it worked. I am not sure why, but that's how I got it to work.

Having same problem. Will boot into download mode. But boot and modem are updated to EPF1 and won't flash EPD1 via odin. Can't get into recovery. But it hangs at the splash screen like it wants to boot into recovery.

I hit Re-Partition by accident and now my smt377w is stuck on the seandroid enforcing screen. Is there any way to fix that or did I totally mess it up? Sorry to resurrect an old thread.

Samsung S6 6.0.1 root MMB29K.G920FXXU5DQA7

Does bootloader version has any meaning in process of rooting? Please help, don't want to brick my phone.
Does anybody can help? I would like to root my S6 but I need some advice. Can someone help me? Guide me how to do it? Please ?

You can't.
The way I did it with stock firmware was...
Flash TWRP with ODIN
Boot into recovery mode and flash SuperSU.
I can give you more specific instructions if you like?
Just use this package;
https://download.chainfire.eu/733/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-zeroflte-zerofltexx-smg920f.zip
The package contains a root file and Odin, which a tool for flash root file to phone. Bootloader version doesn't matter.
download twrp recovery.
boot you phone in download mode (vol down+menu+power)
Flash twrp with Odin.
Transfer CF autoroot zip to your phone.
reboot into recovery (vol up+menu+power)
flash the CF autoroot package.
Reboot.

What password to links??
So it's pretty easy to get TWRP on your Galaxy S6 just by using Odin? That's the only thing to do before I can flash ROMs onto it?
Today I downloaded twrp 3.0.2-1 and tried to flash it on G920F but it didn't work. All process finished good but the recovery didnt change. Than I figured that twrp has file ending *.tar but not *.tat.md5. Can you tell me how to change it??

The file extension doesn't matter.
Before you click "Start" on Odin, disable "Auto Reboot" option. When your flash is done, disconnect the cable and reboot the phone into recovery mode, not the system itself. If you boot to system, it'll restore the stock recovery itself.
I tried but every attempt failed. I don't use Odin though as I'm on Mac. JOdin says the phone is connected, the flashing seems to start normally but I always end up with a message telling me the command was wrong or unknown. :/ Any idea? Thank you.

Just figured it out: I had do uninstall Smart Switch. :good:

TWRP installation problem

I would like to install Lineagoeos on my Galaxy S5 Neo (SM-G903F), but I already have a problem installing TWRP.
I go into download mode (VolumeDown+Home+Power)
I plug the phone into the computer I start odin as administrator
I select the TWRP tar under "AP".
I deselect "Auto Reboot" in Options
I click start
It is also shown above "Pass!", displayed in green.
But now I can't start in to TWRP with VolumeUp+Home+Power. It stays in download mode.
I can end the download mode with VolumeDown+Home+Power but I still can't get into TWRP, even if I press VolumeUp+Home+Power.
What am I doing wrong?
Thank You
Greetings
Bandor
I tried it again now and it worked.
I used an older Odin (odin3 3.12) with the current one it didn't work.
maybe was this the mistake?
also i didn't use the latest TWRP i used 3.6.1_9-0
I installed lineage-17.1-20200422-UNOFFICIAL-s5neolte
