[Q] Droid 2 Global A956 Help.

Hello i have bought 2 droids 2 a956 i wanted to use on GSM network in US i didnt know they was blocked though till after i done bought them. I wanted to use Striaght talk sim card with there plans. Anyone know how to make the Droid 2 work Gsm Unlocked working in US If so pls show me step by step what to do and where to download with working links to download. even video would be nice ... Im knew here i just made account. trying to find out how to get straight talk to work on droid 2 global a956 .... thanks godbless

does phone ask for unlock code, when non votafone sim card is in phone?
if yes, you need a sim unlock code try ebay
if no, phone maybe sim unlocked already, now you need to band unlock it

go to menu/settings/about phone/system version does it have 4.5.629, 4.5.608 or other like 2.3.330

I got pass that but when i put sim card in it is locked needs code i try contact them see if Verizon gives it if not i found ebay seller works are money back.. my version on these droid 2 global is system version 4.5.629.A956 1st phne2nd phne is 4.5.629.A956 thats both phones there sim locked also. i try get them unsimed

Verizon only gives unlock codes to costumers
1 Your account has been in good standing with VZW in the past 6 months.
2 The phone in question has been activated on this line for at least 60 days (can sometimes be circumvented).
3 There were no other SIM unlocks performed for your account for the past 10 months.
so unless you want to go through that, try onlone sim unlock codes

I'll try online lock code and see what they do... Whats next steps after i get them unlocked? thank u so much for the help u have gave really great

if you get unlocked, just use band unlock link I posted
if unlock codes fail, best option is to sell the and get a different phone

How To Use RSD Lite

Iv done the Flash RSD lite back to the 2.4.33 now its still showing a boot load screen on my phone and i went to next step im kinda lost i burn the

download Droid 2 Recovery Bootstrap (market) or here Droid 2 Recovery Bootstrap
Go to App Drawer
Tap on Droid 2 Bootstrap app
Tap on Bootstrap Recovery,
When you see superuser popup (allow/deny), select allow
Tap on OK when you see popup that says Success

Reboot PC
Hit F12 (sometimes F8 or esc) during boot to go to boot menu (possibly google search how to boot your specific pc from CDROM)
Select boot from CDROM (or USB if you used a flash drive)
Hit enter at the yellow "boot baby... boot" screen
You will see yellow dots for 3-5 minutes then the script will start
then i see i gotta download d2boot strap once i click there i see these one i believe i suppose to download Am i suppose to be on my phone doing rest of these steps

magic md5 root is the 2nd option on the ezSBF cd

im in boot mode lol and i hit enter on keyboerd then Slitaze GNU/Linux 3.0 shows
and these shows up

you need to run, option one first
phone needs to be in bootloader for option one
after option one is done, use option 2 to root
phone needs to be running normally (not bootloader) for first step of root option

Locked out of Zebra TC51 / TC510k

I have 2 Zebra TC51 mobile scanners that are unusable because both units are locked with a pin code.
I’ve been trying to reset the units to factory setting through the recovery console, but with no luck because Zebra has it locked down.
I’ve tried downloading the latest TC51 software roms from the Zebra site, but with no luck. Zebra will not allow me to download the software because it is “restricted” even though my warranties are valid through mid-2018—the serials are valid per Zebra’s warranty check.\
Can anyone upload to me the latest TC51 software so I can reset the units? Or, does anyone have knowledge on how to reset the phone to factory settings so I can bypass the pin lock screen?
Model number is TC510K-1PAZU2P-US (the box has GSM one it, not sure if it is GMS or non-GMS sinec I cannot get into the unit.

I don't know if it applies to the tc50 but I have a tc70 which is locked with Walmart software . if it helps I managed to glitch into settings during factory reset which I was able to get into and do some cool things like access camera edit pictures create lock screen and uninstall disable apps etc... not sure what exactly I need to disable to bypass Walmart setup app. but if you like to know the process lmk

please enlighten us , thank you for your time , how do you glitch out your device to access certain areas?

Sorry for the late response @24bitgaiden might not be enlightening because Not sure if I figured this out or it's known but on the tc70 when factory rested and after prompted to enter id to reset and you select continue device will restart during this time zebra/Android logo will appear followed by symbol touch computer screen. Next will be the stage factory reset process (first is a yellow load bar then green ) during this time you repeatedly tap the overview button and home button after each other . Every few taps hold the home button . Repeat till internet browser opens or express on overview screen . On overview screen you can press and hold web browser and select app info or on web browser click bookmarks press and hold click on share then email choose manual setup followed by certificate install which will be followed by must have lock screen and click setup .. well at this point you should have an idea of what to do . I have disable uninstalled apps acceded camera took pictures and videos edited and shared videos acceded settings etc.....

My apologies. If I am not making sense , LMK how it goes or if a video of process is needed

Exactly, not for now at least without a device rebranding. Oh yes, EMUI 6 will be on Oreo, and we still don't know for sure if our device will finally get it or not.

i have BLN-L21 and I am on emui 5.1 with B371 update officially through the system update in settings. Also middle east variant

You could try to force the update by going on system update -> clicking on the 3 dots on upper right corner -> choose 1st option, "download latest update". If nothing is found, you could flash latest update by dload method.

This happens the most when wrong firmwares for your build number are downloaded, but with the 3 packages that shashank linked to you yes, you are safe. They're official packages that matches your build

These are absolutely stock version and no warranty loss.
For dload, check my signature below for dload guide. It is quick steps for all requirements and you can flash files easily.

Call customer care or chat with their online support they will ask for IMEI and few other things and updated will be there within 48 hours they have that hi care app where u can get online support or from there website or twitter or simply by calling customer care number

Hey guys, sorry for the necrobump. I successfully flashed update.zip using dload (had to move it to internal storage to flash successfully).
But whenever I try to flash the 2nd file "update_full_BLN-L21_hw_meafnaf.zip" it goes upto 5% and fails. Also while booting it says "Your device has failed verification and may not work properly". On top of that, I lost file manager and update option in the settings (probably because the 2nd file did not flash). And for some reason, my build no. is "NRD90M test-keys" now...
Please help.
FYI, I'm still not rooted nor unlocked Bootloader.

I had the same problem: recovery stuck at 5 % until timed-out. Please make sure that your device is not connected to your computer via USB and then reboot into recovery mode. I unplugged the cable from both devices to be very sure.

I just won an S8+ on eBay only to realise that it was Google blocked... I haven't paid for it yet but I did do a check if it was blacklisted or stolen and it comes up clean...

Looks like it needs the FRP reset method done. This is my first post on the S8 forum, and starting research on the S8, as I have one arriving next week
I just did an FRP reset on an S7 Edge. It took me several days, all day long, to finally find the method which worked on my phone. There are a lot of videos and posts with various methods... egads.
Once that method was processed, it took about 30 minutes to finally have the FRP gone and the soft reset finalize it.
If the seller on eBay did not advertise it as being Google account locked, you may want to consider a refund. Given the hardware is all ok (?), you might/should be able to un'FRP it. As I just looked at a few google search results, seems similar to the S7 method. I wonder why the seller did not un-F(a)RP it?
Do a Google search for 'S8 FRP Bypass'.

Good question. I asked that as well and never got an answer... frustrating, so I am not sure.
My thinking leads to 'why not', as a full re-flash I'd think also writes over the Persistence directory/file, however, if it were that simple I'd a thought I would have come across a post, how-to or video, or post reply to my questions, stating yes, it can be solved in that manner.
So my post research and experimentation experience thinks once the FRP is tripped, the system prevents a simple flashing over of the Persistence partition/file with stock.

Yeah because my bosses S7 I put him a custom Rom Batman Rom and I forgot to tick oem unlock and debugging and it went into FRP LOCK...
I can't remember what we did but we never used combination thingy...
I just remember putting the stock firmware on and it worked

Ok so I got this phone frp unlocked remotely, but the imei number on the phone back and box is the same but the phone itself *#06# comes up as dual SIM G955FD...
The phone finds the sim but still says no service I have flashed multiple csc files but still no luck so what's the issue I spent so much time and money in this poop fone

Is it 'supposed' to be a dual SIM phone by OEM model?
If so does it have the original stock firmware on it, or if not what has it been changed to.. ?

My S8+ suddenly stopped working because it says "FRP Locked". So the phone won't even boot.
Any advice?

Mad Scientist, so when you (re)install the factory binary, it overwrites the Pervasive, or what ever it is called, partition as well, which holds the FRP breach/info?
I did not think that worked, as it was too obvious and too easy a fix.
Please clarify.

The s8 factory combo test firmware does yes....
It did on mine when I changed my google password and fac reset Its a snapdragon right.....
Some people also install the eng boot and google frp adb bypass command...

Interesting. I would have though there was a software/OS method, but then I thought that Samsung would have made entrance into the Persistence partition like a vault door.
So am I understanding you all, an Exynos phone can be flashed with a combination file(?), and afterwards the OEM ROM, and that deletes the FRP file/Persistence partition? What slot would the combo file be used with in Odin?

Yes. You need to flash it as AP and flash Home Csc from your FW. Then you must go to setting and apply usb debugging. Then flash your Fw and you can to log in with other google account.

My advice is ... stop buying stolen phones = stopping phones being stolen.

You can (actually) legally purchase once stolen phones, and they come out legit from a court ordered police property room auction.

Or, if you're like me, you buy broken phones. Phones with shattered screens and non-responsive LCDs, that the previous owners sell trying to recoup some of their money rather than pay to repair it themselves. Often when I replace the screen, I'm faced with FRP lock.
One time, I sold a phone I purchased brand new and owned legally. Sold it on Swappa to a guy in Florida (I'm in Oklahoma). What did my stupid ass do? I forgot to remove my account before resetting it, thus tripping the FRP.
So you CAN actually legally buy a legitimate, not stolen phone, and have FRP on it.

Updated with LMSA with no issues, only be warned that everything is deleted and you start from scratch. I had my bootloader unlocked, this was kept. But I am unable to root it as I did with Android 10. Patching boot.img with Magisk and I get bootloop to fastboot after flashing it. Only way to continue as of now was to flash the boot.img that came with the new firmware.

So may I ask if you bought your 606f from China or abroad?
Since mine is a Chinese one, everytime I flash 0805/0906 it ends with *system and hardware not compatible* error. (the same both BL locked and unlocked)
I wonder if this new ROW rom fixes this issue.

Sorry, I am not sure if it is what you are looking for, but I downloaded the new ROM with LMSA and I do have all the IMG files in the download directory. I do not know if you can do the same not having the exact same tablet model.

Still a "NO". It's the same: "system and hardware not compatible".
So I flash back to 0520.
I do hope I could spare some time to unpack those imgs to have a check on some specific files next week.
Just be busy all the time with my work...
Engineers from Lenovo China give me no useful answers. I think I can only count on myself.

I tried update to 210923 via LMSA, but not boot.
Then I tried again with qpst 2.7.496, it boot up and get a minor update to 0925.
Still lost serial number.

It's because your device is Region locked. Within this XDA there is a forum on how to region unlock ur device. You have to use QCN file to change it.
Mine won't update because of region lock and now it's working perfectly
