Unable to open developer options -> settings always crashing when i open them! - Huawei Mate 9 Questions & Answers

Hi all!
My settings always crashes (forced close, but no message) when i try to open the developer options (to enable usb debugging).
This happens since i unlocked my bootloader (Phone and FRP unlocked via DC-Unlocker) and relock does not solve my problem...
I tried to reset my phone, delete caches and reset settings app, but nothing worked...
When i try to uninstall an application, EMUI is reloaded (Huawei bootup screen).
What can cause this strange behaviors? How can i solve my Problems?

Problem solved with FunkyHawei!
Good to have that tool, but 15$/month is too expensive! (for a student) But unfortunately there is no other solution for most of the problems...

You can cancel the subscription after recovering the device.

But i won't get any updates (OTA) after cancelling? (untill there are other methods)

You can subscribe again when a new version is out. I don't expect updates to come out monthly.

hi all

i accidently wiped ALL
but i can get into twrp
i tried to install some factory images from developers.google.com/android/images
but nothing worked. neither eRecovery or HiSuite...
can anyone help me???

May I ask what even drove you to install TWRP?
Do you know what it does?
Why on earth would you need Google images??
Do you by any chance think you own a nexus/pixel?

It works. It's worked for many people in this situation. But you need to be able to follow the instructions carefully for eRecovery method and correctly set the DNS on your wifi router.

It did work!
But only with eRecovery mode. Follow teh instructions step-by-step. You must be able to change your DNS-Sesstings on your router

Huawei Backup can't install

I uninstalled Huawei Backup and now I'd like to install it back. I can not make it. Please see screenshot's and help me please. Thank You very much.
Factory reset i do not make. That would make my screen again dimming.

I agree with the factory reset.
It is always recommended to do factory reset
Many bugs couse of flashing get fixed exapt the real software bugs wich needs software fix
If I make the factory reset, I will again encounter dimming the screen. That is for me inadmissible!

Then unfortunately, you can't use Huawei Backup.

Disable Apps Permanently

Hey, I was wondering if there is a way to disable/uninstall system apps without root. In this specific case, I would like to remove YouTube and Google Duo, however, I tried to disable + force stop the apps but they reappear after a while. Next I tried to disable them via ADB but even then they reappeared like nothing happened.
I'm currently using a OnePlus 7 Pro on the latest OOS, I rather not root the phone just yet. As I don't want to void my UK warranty.
Any suggestions would be welcome

It won't re enable post update I tihink. I'll update the thread tomorrow with new commands. --k retains package contains though the app is uninstalled. I'll remove that too [emoji23]

Just added more commands in my thread.

GPS not working

After a few new updates (I don't know what) the GPS stopped working.
Even trying some "GPS Status" APPs it fails to hook up any satellite.
I have already tried to do a hard reset, but the problem remains.
Does anyone have the same problem? What can it be due to?

Maybe try GPS Test and clear and update the AGPS data. Worth a try.

Update to Android 11 with Developer file upgrade.

Good evening,
as I seen it is available directly from the developers portal the firmware upgrade for the Android 11 (Q) for the Find X2 Pro: https://fsopen.coloros.com/3/oppoww...0_all_Hzht983dYbQW-format-findx2pro-2-ex.ozip
The issue I have is about the package, I download it many times also with a download manager but when via file manager I launch it, the package results corrupt.
Someone tested already that way?

Gata install via recovery, move the file to root directory first though, what version is it??

I did it but the operation fails as the version I have installed is more updated... I guess it is due to region check. I am unable to shift to Singapore region.

My phone is the Australian version, I don't understand the reason it reports the upgrade is lower than the current I have if not due to region.

You don't want this beta trust me it's an earlie build with tones of bugs and a unusable keyboard there's no point, if you want android 11 asap go to coloros/ROM , website, and in stall the latest Pakistan ROM A.45 then go to XDA and look for the thread that has the region change oppo tool and follow instructions to get android 11 as an ota, you must install that Pakistan version first

If you do manage to get onto that oppo tool change your region to "Singapore EX" and you will 100% receive android 11 then after that u reboot and you'll get another ota to

I got the mobile some days ago and since that time, I played all the way to get that OK without any success. Maybe it is due to my ROM.

It only doesn't work on Chinese versions, there's a fix for people who can't get that OK, should be under that region thread or the update thread
After I changed my region a few times the ok stopped appearing for me so I would have to go back and disable my ethernet adaptor and make a new one or something lol, I'm not to sure yet because I haven't bothered trying yet

I actually could never use the sec5.exe file, it wouldn't start on my PC but runs fine from the oppo unlock tool in the same folder

Oppo unluck tool.exe never worked for me only sec5.exe do you have installed all driver Oppo driver and Universal adb ?? Maybe install PDanet also I did it as well
