Bluetooth Gear S3 defaults to phone after one ring. - Samsung Gear S3

I'm connected to my Android phone via Bluetooth, no problem. My watch has started to default back to my phone when receiving calls after just one ring not giving me time to answer. It didn't use to do this. How do I get it back to normal number of rings on watch before going to phone\VM?

Notification while charging

I tried a search, but can't seem to find anything. Is there anyway to continue to receive notifications (text message as example) while the watch is on charger? I have a verizon 3g gear s2. Phone calls still work, but no notification (vibration or sound) on incoming texts while the watch is on the charger cradle. I've factory reset the watch, to see if it was a glitch, but it acts the same. The text messages (and phone calls) were to my primary number that's set to forward to my watch number. I'm using the stock Samsung messenger on phone, s6 edge plus, and watch. All notifications work flawlessly while watch is not on the charger.
Any help is much appreciated.

I've had the same issue since I bought mine in Novemeber. At first it bothered me but I've learned to deal with it.

Calls not being forwarded to the Gear S2

Hi. Ive just added the $5 wearable plan to my account, but calls are not being forwarded to the Gear S2. I have set the option in the app on my S7 Edge to forward calls when remotely connected. Here is a summary of what happens:
Devices connected via bluetooth: When I call my phone line, both the phone and Gear S2 ring, and I can take the call from either
Gear S2 in standalone mode: When I call the Gear S2 number, the watch rings
Devices remotely connected (bluetooth on phone switched off): Gear S2 says it is remotely connected, and that calls are being forwarded. However, when I call my phone line, only the phone rings rather than the Gear S2
Can anyone help resolve this issue? Both the app on my phone and the Gear S2 have the correct number for the watch. I have logged the problem with T-mobile and so am waiting for tech support to get back to me. It seems unlikely that this is a problem with the device since everything else works, and is more likely to be a network issue
Thanks
You have 2 differents phone number ?
Call forward works with 2 SIM and 2 differents phone number. You forward your phone Number to the Gear Phone number.

I have 2 different numbers: 1 for the phone and one for the gear. I have set the Gear app to forward calls, and the gear confirms that calls are being forwarded when in the remote connection state. But no calls are being forwarded - thi is my issue

If you call are forwarded your phone do not ring. If it ring, it mean that call are not forwarded.
Try to find the UUI code for forward call and tap the code on your phone app dialer pad, or use Android phone setting to forward your call. Gear app use standard code for forward but this do not work with all operator. Forward call is an operator feature and not related to one specific app (Gear manager or other)

Sounds like you have t-mobile correct? If so the phone has to be on for the phone to forward calls to the watch. If the phone is off it will not work. The way it works is if you get out of bluetooth range it will forward calls to the watch
Yes, I'm on tmobile and the phone is on. Even though I have call forwarding set in the app, maybe there is a setting on the network side? I don't want to have to manually enter codes each time I want to forward/ stop forwarding so hopefully I can resolve the issue and just use the setting in the Gear app. Thanks

Tmobile Digits Duplicate Notifications

Ok, so Tmobile finally got my digits working and it's awesome to be able to leave the house without my phone. Now with spotify, I don't have to take my phone to the gym anymore. I just hook my BT ear buds and I have everything I need. I can even use it like a phone with a BT headset and when I call people see as if I'm calling from my phone.
Now with that being said, I have only had one issue so far but it's not a digits or tmobile problem. The way I figure I'll just live with it. The nature of having your watch share the same phone number means you get duplicate notifications. For example, if I'm connected to the phone through Bluetooth or I have call forwarding set to get my notifications from my phone and somebody sends me a text, I get the notification from the phone and I clear it. Now when I disconnect from the phone. My text messages and missed calls show up as notifications from the watch.
It makes sense. If the watch is sharing the same phone number, the phone will forward the message to the watch but the watch is also receiving the message to. I know there is an option to block but I want to be able to get my texts and missed calls if I turn off my phone and am using the watch in stand alone mode.
I figured a fix though for those who use the forwarding function and will always have stuff forwarded from the phone is to block the watch notifications. My solution it to just go to the text messaging app and clear them manually, ignore them or just delete the message conversation.
Just something to make people aware of when using Digits if you haven't signed up for it already. I personally like it so far and will probably pay for the service if it's reasonable.
I had a heck of a time getting tmobile to set it up right but when they finally got it working I like it now.
I'm having the same issue...wonder if there's a way to stop the dual notifications?
Just for my S3 frontier and having the same issue. Any fixes?

call forward from 1 phone to another phone over bluetooth

hello
is there a way of sending all cellular phone calls from one phone to another over bluetooth?
so what i would like is a phone call comes in to a old phone and it forwards to another phone thats now got a sim card in. I have setup sms messages with tablet talk which works well but you can only start a call with tablet talk but not carry it on with the same phone, if you can make a call over bluetooth to a smart watch surely there is a way to do it to a phone,
What would i be looking for?

Using Watch for Phonecalls over BT

I'm wondering if I set the watch up right or if this is the behavior of the watch.
When my phone rings (pixel 2 XL) and I try to answer it from the phone, the call is picked up but on my watch. I have to turn off the option in the watch's settings when I carry my phone around.
What I'd like to have it do is, when there's a call - pick up on the phone if answered from the phone and pick up on the watch when answered from the watch.
Is this possible?
Thanx...
I believe it works like that for me.
Last time I picked up the call from phone I was able to speak on the phone straight away, but I'm not sure if it was also calling on the watch.
I get that delay sometimes for call notification on watch.

It is possible.
Be sure that under BT settings for your watch on your phone, Call Audio is turned off. On your watch, make sure Use for Call Audio is turned on. (not sure if that's the correct wording for the watch settings)
Sent from my SM-N960U1 using XDA Labs
If you go under Connections, Bluetooth, you can toggle the option "answer voice calls on watch"
