First of all sorry for my bad english
The things that you need to fabricate charging dock are as follows:
1) Old CD case
2) Old sony ericsson data cable
3) Some fast glue
1) Disassemble CD case in order to use only the back side
2) From data cable remove plastic fixing legs
3) Mesure with the phone and mark the correct position of the cable ( the picture of the cable should be upwards)
4) Using some fast glue bond the connector to de CD case and voalla the dock is ready
And hese are the pictures. Maybe tomorrow i will make it like stand but for now is working ok for night charging

Yeah, nice work!

There are other DIY charging systems.

It works! But, what's the voltage? Isn't it low?
Why would the voltage be low? USB is a standarized port so there's no difference between chargers when it comes to voltage.
The other thing is the current that varies from 500mA (USB 2.0 port) and 900mA (3.0 port) up to 3mA. The current depends on the charger not the cable.
I tried making this and the charging time takes a long time. I am gaining about 10% per hour. Is this normal?

Depends. Which charger do y use, more precisely how many amps does it output? Maybe you contact surfaces are to small. A pic would be welcome

I don't think the charger has any effect, I believe the pins are set up to draw a maximum of 1A, probably due to it being a dock, it wants to "slow" charge.
As for it taking a long time, I found that the cable had a huge effect, switching to a better cable made it charge correctly.

I am using the stock charger. It would probably be the contact point. I don't want to scrach my XZ so I didn't push it all the way down. I'll try again when I get home

Ah, correct, wiring, to small section causes more energy loss. So taking a thicker wire isn't l luxury. But standard usb wire should work.(I used a Sony Ericsson fastport data wire)
Could also be the soldering, if it isn't sold properly you get bad contracts.
I'm using a 750mA charge ( from the x10) and it never takes so long to charge even over my custom system running a sleep taking app over night.

The connector was called FastPort, so look for something like FastPort usb data wire

Does anyone have any ideas because I found an old DIY speaker and I was wondering if anyone had ideas for a dock in which it could be used.

I wanted the same dock+speaker end result so I ended up using my BT speaker and using tasker (but can use smart connect) to auto on BT when docked which it then reconnects to speaker when in range then turns BT off when undocked. Obviously totally different than wjatbtou have to work with but I already had the speaker so it cost me nothing to do.

Hi, I would go with something like the attachment. Using a sbh20(or similar) for wireless sound transmission. Speaker on the side. ( if you thing is stereo, one on each side), and the phone in landscape mode on a inclined surface with the pins on the bottom.

I think there are online auction sites like amazon and ebay have wireless charging option. but I think you need to be careful as there are configuration that is needed for it to work.

Seconded - moving from wireless charging on my Note 2 is the only downside to my upgrade. Can anyone confirm if there ar the necessary prongs inside the case...?

Hi, I recently got the Xperia M2 having swapped back to android after a year playing with windows phone with a Nokia.
anyway the feature i found really usfull with the nokia was the wireless charging so i sent off for a micro usb qi receiver to try get the M2 working with my existing qi charger. i know the charging pad works and i know the receiver works. when its plugged into an old htc phone it charges fine and even works on a mp3 player so both pad and charger are ok but it refuses to work when plugged into the m2, anyone have any ideas?
Hi guys,
Was Just wondering if you could enlighten me with this little question. I was wondering if it is just alright to use my old Xperia X8 and Xperia Go chargers and cables on my new Xperia M2 Aqua. I haven't had the chance to compare the specs of the cargers yet, but I suppose they might be similar, but I will check later when I get off work and post them here.
I just want to make sure of this because, when I was still using my Xperia Go, I used to always use the old charger from my Xperia X8, it was charging fine. But this one time I forgot my X8 charger at the office and I was forced to used the one that came with the Xperia Go. Then I noticed how faster it was charing with the charger that it came with compare to the old X8 charger I was using for almost a year.
Anybody any ideas or suggestions? Oh and, btw, the old X8 cable has some rust on the regular USB side, could that be a factor why my Xperia Go was charging slower?
Would appreciate any help. TIA!

Hi,
As a rule, you can just about use any charger or cable on any Android device if the connections are the same. But Charger specs and cable quality and shape will play a factor in charge times. You can get apps and widgets on Play store that monitor the current going to your device if you want to visually see what chargers and cords work best that you own. But generally just seeing how long they take to charge is a good indication.

You're right - mine also says "EP880" on the actual charger; I didn't realise there was separate a model number on that as well as on the cable.
Thank for help !
Great
Fusion > Stock
"GBTiger QC 3.0 + Blitzwolf BW-MC1" looks better fusion than a Stock. Because: "Blitzwolf" does has a Ruptureproof cable (even of ">5,000") and "2,4A" and "GBTiger" does has a Better Voltage than a "Samsung Stock 2A"
