Not my app but thought I'd share, this app is great if you want to use leanback launcher but still want to have access to your side loaded apps. It makes a shortcut app of the apps you want in leanback that shows up in leanback launcher. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=news.androidtv.tvapprepo.playstore

I cannot find the shortcut for the stocks app from the app drawer. I can get to it by creating a widget on the homescreen, or from the Apex launcher, but not from the stock launcher.
Anybody else facing the same issue?
It's the same thing for Polaris Office too. Weird.

I did this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26193552&postcount=2
to put it in a folder on my Home Screen.
Weird. I wonder if this is just a bug, of if AT&T hid this on purpose (and if so, why?).
I assumed there was no app for viewing MS Office documents, and went ahead and installed Office Suite (which I had luckily gotten as an Amazon "free app of the day" a while back). It wasn't until today that I tried to open an Excel document, and I was given the choice of opening with Polaris or Office Suite. I was like WTF, Polaris is there, why isn't it in the app drawer???

Yeah...I can't seem to find SoundHound in the drawer. Sucks because I actually want to use the app and can't access it. It doesn't let me delete and download in Google Play.

If you open the Music app, Soundhound should be listed there. Seems liked they tried to unify things a bit by throwing Soundhound, TuneIn, etc. under the Music app. Also, if you install Pandora or other music apps, it should automatically add a shortcut in Music (at least it did for me), and you can also add other shortcuts manually. But that doesn't fully explain why TuneIn can be found in the app drawer, and not Soundhound.
Hi!
On KK roms I've been using app "Tile icon Maker" (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tileiconmaker), where I had more than 20 widgets placed on nova Launcher homescreen... and it looked beautiful.
then I installed CrDroid 5.02, I can make the same look, but after some time Nova Launcher starts to report errors that widgets stopped working. So I had to delete the widgets/tiles and deinstall the app. It looks like some kind of memory problem?
The app itself is no longer supported.
Does anyone know of a similar app?
I don't want to migrate to some of the available W7 launchers, because Nova is the best.
This site lets you build custom launcher apps for sideloaded apps. Its for those who use the default leanback launcher and dont like the sideload launcher.
http://atvlauncher.trekgonewild.de
Its beta.
The built app launches the desired app and then terminate itself, it needs no permissions.
Awesome find
Built a launcher for Firefox and it's working great
I don't want ios imitation. but simple Android launcher with all apps on home screen, just like miui

We hate warez mate, it's a disrespect towards the work of developers.
Broadcasted from Zeta Reticuli
Maybe instead of trying to cheat the developer, you pay them if you find it's what you want... Cracks and other Warez/pirate activities are forbidden here regardless of what you've heard.
If you don't want to pay, look for alternatives, Google turns up no shortage of options like iLauncher, Blaze, Launcher for 7 & Plus, or how to configure Nova/Action and other mainstream browsers so they don't have an app drawer.
You could pay for it then have two hours to see if you like it and return if you don't. That's probably what I like most about Google Play vs iOS App Store.
EDIT: I would also like to echo what's been said here. Don't do warez, not only is it unfair to devs but it is also potentially dangerous to your device if you download a "cracked" APK that was actually loaded with malware. So even for that reason alone, don't do it.

What bout zenUI? you can use it with/with out app drawer.:victory:
Try ASAP launcher, ap15 launcher and Edge launcher if you wanna reach your apps quickly
I couldn't adjust with the RROreo's default Trebuchet launcher and coming from MIUI, it was hard to settle with any other fancy launchers.
Tried every launchers available in the internet, that was similar to MIUI stock launcher. The MIUI Launcher suggested above is the close one in replicating the stock MIUI. However, I'd strongly advice against it, as it has some serious bugs. It duplicates app icons randomly, and you only uninstall the apps, can't remove the duplicate icons. It gets worse when system apps icons are duplicated.
I'd suggest this.
1. Install Nova and make it the default launcher(free version will do),
2. Create shortcuts of all apps on the home screen,
3. Enable 'Add icon to Home screen' in Playstore settings. (If you're in Oreo or can't see this settings in Playstore, Go to Nova Settings> Desktop and you'll see this option at the bottom of the list.)
4. Now hold the app drawer icon to remove.
I prefer to drag it to home screen and place it in a location or folder that is usually overlooked. I do this because, without the app drawer icon, uninstalling apps (especially when installed from APKs) would be a hassle, since it’s just a shortcut we are seeing in the Nova Homescreen. Adding the app drawer to the home screen (I know this is against the original goal in a sense, but this is very much different from having the app drawer in the dock), helps in uninstalling apps in ease.
Necrobumping because this thread comes up if you look up "Android launcher with no drawer".
After years of struggle, someone had finally made a good launcher with no drawer. Enter Lawndesk, a fork of Lawnchair without the app drawer. It supports modem functions of stock Android launcher, namely adaptive icons.

Hi all,
I would love the ability to be able to add a simple "All Apps" icon in the center of the dock like the old GEL launcher had. I know that Nova and Action Launcher can do this, but I like the barebones aspect of the Pixel launcher and would like to continue using that. Does anyone know if this is possible? I know there used to be an application in the play store that would add this shortcut to the pixel launcher last year, but that app appears to have disappeared. (I know there are some third party app launchers in the play store, but none of them are blazingly fast)
Only with launcher, sry mate

Best workaround I could find, which is not really perfect but hey see screenshot
Download Nova launcher but don't set it as default. On pixel launcher, add a widget -> Nova action -> app drawer
You may have some few times you come back through Nova homepage this way when pressing home. Give it a try your self.
If I have some time I could see if there's a better way to do it by properly calling the app drawer..
So -- you can make Nova as bare bones as you want to. Any particular reason why you don't want to use Nova, configured to look and feel just like the Pixel launcher? It seems like the best option for what you want.
I know it doesn't replace a button, but tapping the arrow above the dock takes you to app drawer. How do you feel about this?
