I updated my USC S6 to 6.0.1 and rooted it using CF-Auto-Root-zerofltespr-zerofltespr-smg920p.tar on odin 3.10.6 and all was well until recently i restarted my phone and i got the red "Custom binary blocked by FRP lock" message. i tried 3 different versions of odin like 4 different firmwares SM-G920p 5.0.1 and 6.0.1 , SM-G920R4 5.0.1 and 6.0.1 and nothing works. i either get "secure check fail (bootloader)" or "SW REV. check fail. Device: 3, binary: 1" PLEASE HELP!

It tells me my S/N is invalid
You cannot root version 6.0. Looks like a root method for another carrier maybe but not Verizon.
Looks like the encrypted bootloader is looking you out.

Find out exact firmware version

Hi guys,
I just bought a Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930W8 via Ebay but unfortunately it is FRP locked. I know how to bypass the FRP but Android 6.0.1 needs to be installed and as it seems to me Android 7 is installed on it. I downloaded the original 6.0.1 firmware from Samfirmware for the SM-G930W8 but Odin gives a notification "system rev check fail device 1 binary 0". It seems that one gets this notification when trying to install an incorrect original firmware. The problem is that I cannot retrieve any info from the device because of the FRP lock (cannot get into device info).
Is there a way to find out which firmware is installed on it right now so I can download and install the correct 6.0.1 firmware?

Easy fix use Odin to downgrade firmware bypass the FRP lock then set phone up to your Gmail etc... Then upgrade I done it before to a FRP locked S7 edge and was pretty easy to do

s8 plus G955f bricked, odin fail

so i was trying to root my phone i tried to follow this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/how-to/guide-how-to-install-twrp-root-galaxy-t3752480
i went thought it, everything seemed fine, downloaded root checker to see check if it was rooted, said it was partly rooted, rebooted phone to get into twrp, phone keep rebooting at the "samsung s8+ logo "Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed".
getting into download mode works, ive tired flashing this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/development/rom-galaxy-s8-t3749444

The firmware that you are trying to flash is giving you the sw rev error because that firmware is an older/downgraded version than the version that is already on the phone. You have to flash the firmware that is the same as what is already on the device or a newer version, you can't flash an older version. Find the newest, most updated firmware that you can find for your specific model number.
Do a Google search for:
"Stock firmware for SM-G935FD"
Then find the newest available version that is made for your specific region/carrier.

Ayudaaa. SECURE CHECK FAIL: Recovery en S7 SM-G930R4

Help please, I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930R4 with android 8.0.0 with Compilation (R16NW.G930R4TYSBCTA2).
I've been trying to root it for several days, I have tried in various ways, trying to mount the TWRP or with the CFAutoRoot through Odin but there is no way, I even tried with other programs to root and they all give me an error and on the phone puts me SECURE CHECK FAIL: Recovery.
I have the OEM Unlocking in developer options activated.
Please if someone could help me, what could that error be? Will Bootloader be blocked?
Someone who has an idea and share it with me. Thanks in advance.
Download a stock firmware and flash through Odin. Snapdragon Galaxy S7 bootloader cannot be unlocked.
