At the moment.. You cant.. Ive been searching it too.
On my side, under Marshmallow, without root => no solution
Is there already a solution for this?
I mean the whole system .
There is a couple of root solutions, and an Xposed soloution changing icons at system level. But as we all know No Xposed on N yet....
Without root, you have to use Nova Launcher!
With Nova, you can both change single icons and size of icons, but also use themes and packs from Play Store.
Yes. U can with icon changer app.

Has anyone used the Theme creator programme from Sony with there Z5 is it possible to just change the navbar buttons with it? Im guessing it's possible because Themes I've installed do change the buttons but I can't get to my laptop yet to try it. If it is possible I'm surprised there's no thread about it surely I'm not the only one who would like custom nav buttons.
Theres one there just called marshmallow. It uses the Google stock nav bar and doesn't look a whole lot different otherwise.

Think il get to my laptop next week and try making some custom buttons and making a theme with them.

Just replace the .png file of related nav button under a theme. Then istall that theme and you are good to go.

There's an app in the appstore which allows you to change your Navbar icons and configuration, assuming you're rooted. I used to use it on my Z3 and it worked like a charm.
Never used it on my Z5 and it's a paid app, so it's up to you.

Aye I've used it before works great, my Z5 isnt rooted though and until CM is available its likely to stay that way.
Yeah, Xperia themes can theme the nav bar icons without root. You can create a theme from scratch or simply modify an existing one. Use the Sony theme creator or use APKtool to decompile an existing theme and replace the nav bar icon images.
Just got to try this Theme creators well cool give it a try if you ain't already its very easy to use.

Hello everyone,
since Saturday I got a new Xperia Z5 after using my beloved Galaxy S2 for 4 (or 5?) years.
Honestly, I didn't want a new phone, but it was just too slow and finally didn't function any more.
So now I am personalizing my new Phone, but am really disturbed by the app menu.
Apps on different pages, where I have to scroll and look for an app? What is this? 2010?
I am so used to the list view on TouchWiz and Cyanogenmod.
How do I get that onto my Xperia Z5 Phone?
Here are some screenshots for clarification. (sorry I can't post links yet)
I have this: googledrive.com/host/0B71qahVEwjt5X1RPY2pSVmdPWmc/gridview
(currently using Google Now Launcher, which is at least closer to what I want)
I want this: androidbeat.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/12/CM13-app-drawer.png
Or what would even be better, but I guess not possible, this: cdn.cultofandroid.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/applistview.jpg
I hope you know what I mean and can help me.
BR,
Rastla
quite easy to do with another launcher. You can do it with nova launcher how you want it.
And wth!? Nothing easier than a Sony ui menu. Almost complete stock Android. You should even have a quick search bar on top, you can move your apps in the app draw where you want them to be etc.
It's all a little more overviewed compared to Samsung, that's one reason I love sony's ui so much

stock sony ui doesn't have a search bar at top (only the google now launcher).
its just that old grid view i know from early android days. i would even go so far, to compare it to windows 98.
it's impractical and definitively not good overviewed imho.
what can be more practical than a simple A-Z list?

Just got my Mate 9 and I am liking it so far. I've used Nova and Go launcher in the past on other phones, however, I seem to like Huawei's own Home launcher. Simple and clean. However, is there a way I can apply icon packs to it? I want to change some icons, but can't seem to find a way to do that.
Any help or advice is appreciated.

Didn't try anything from playstore, but if you download a theme you have to put it in HWthemes folder in internal storage.
Other option you can download online themes from the themes manager and apply the icons only.

It's the homescreen icons that I wanted to change, and this worked exactly as I wanted. What icon packs have you tried/like?
I used "clix" for a while, because they loke a bit like the stock icons, but now i have a new theme where all icons i have on my homescreen are included except of the telegram icon, so i made it by myself and applied it with icon changer

Good
I had Swift Backup backup my icons from my old OP phone. I restored them and I'm also using Nove Launcher Prime. It's not seeing the icons. Is there a way to use them?
Why restore them? Why not reinstall the pack the way you did initially?
I don't know how you would "backup icons". You could backup the pack and restore it, and also choose the pack from Nova as you did before.
They're not available on Google Play and I'm essentially trying to move them from my OP9.
Nova won't let me search for them (Android sees them as installed but also won't let me select them). To get more themes, it forces me to the store.
OOS saw them and allowed me to change them easily. Seems like changing icons is something not easily done in general on a Pixel
Again not sure what you mean. "Android sees them"? Where? Didn't you use Swift to backup the icon pack apk?

Yes, used Swift. If I do a search in the system settings, I see the different packs as installed apps. However, I can't open them in a launcher, and they're not selectable in Nova's icon settings. I see either "system" theme or "get more" and it directs me to google play.

I was hoping they weren't tied to the OP launcher, but I'm thinking you're right. Been hesitant to buy them with so much crap on GP anymore.
Thanks!
Eh there's some pretty nice icon packs to be honest, even better than OP originals covering more app icons
