I don't have the Honor 8 unfortunately, but I know on my device all I ever had to do to fix FRP lock was to copy back the stock firmware. If you know your model number, then perhaps you could download your firmware from this link here and give it a try:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/development/models-stock-firmware-packages-honor-8-t3501942
Then before rooting again next time, first make sure OEM Unlocking is checked as not having it checked is usually what causes that problem.

You have to use the rollback package,
You will need first to flash the rollback and after the b131 full package. Which version do you have?
If it's L09C432 check second post in this thread
I have L09C432 version.
UPDATE.APP rollback won't install. 5% Installing update ...
After a long wait, my build number are NRD90M test-keys
I install B131 full package but I have an error

Did you tried with the files provided on the thread I mentioned above?
Are you putting the update.app file in the dload folder of an micro SD card?
Are you starting the flash procedure with the vol up + vol down + power buttons combination?
Your rollback version should be L09C900B300
Check the pdf in the rollback zip file.
I have read rollback pdf file step by step
But my build version is NRD90M test-keys not L09C900B300

Firstly, any idea if/when the 701l will be updated last lollipop 5.0?
Second, i have rooted but 2 apps won't work with root. My banking app and the sky q app. I tried a couple of root hiding apps but no good.
You'll find b005 for 701 in this forum to download.
Supersu has a unroot function inside.
KangVIP b211 has a temporary unroot option in it. (You have to pay for some special vip functions)
But I don't know how to pay via 'alipay'

Thanks for the help. Although I've rooted i haven't unlocked the boot loader as it seemed complicated. Any advice with it?
I did have super su but it kept saying to update the binary but when i tried it failed every time so I uninstalled and put another super user app on.
Ooops... Don't use Kingroot. You won't be able to install any Rom with this. And this is a exploit which produces much problems.
What's the problem with normal root?
My device: 701->703 B211 KangVIP AJ Xposed
I didn't use kingroot but you're close, i used kingoroot. How did you know?
So, what should i do now? I'm not sure what's involved with unrooting and then using a different method.
You don't need to unroot.
Simply use Huawei backup to store your apps and content on external sd.
Put B005 update.app to dload folder on external sd and the newest supersu.zip to root of external sd card.
Then get bootloader code and install adb to unlock bootloader.
start system. On EMUI select factory reset.
After reset start system and select firmware local update and select full package.
After update start system and do factory reset again including format internal sd.
Then flash TWRP for Android 5.0 on recovery2 partition.
fastboot flash recovery2 TWRP_5.0.img
On TWRP install supersu.zip to have control on root.
Start system and restore all apps, which are not system apps.
Install supersu.app from PlayStore
My device: 701->703 B211 xposed 86
Thanks.
Got to admit i haven't got my hands dirty with things like this for a while so it sounds a bit beyond my abilities
Hi everyody i have some problem with my phone NXT-AL10.
I've made an update to a NOUGAT Beta version for my Mate 8 but for somes reasons i need to downgrade my phone to the emui 4.0 (or 4.1 i don't remember my old version) but the problem is here. Last month i tried all version of TWRP but any version worked for my device with Android 7.0. Now i've found TWRP Version 3.0.2 or 3.03 and i can boot to TWRP but it always said it can't mount system ! (I've tried to format DATA, all wipe) but nothing works !
I tried the DLOAD method but the same i tried 15 UPDATE.APP and i can't flash my phone.
Now my phone have just access to TWRP but without the possibility to mount system and when i tried normal boot i go always to the eRecovery but i can't use UPDATE.APP. I have one choice "Download latest version and recovery" off course it doesn't work !
I'm stuck at this state can you help ?

I am on SM-G955FD baseband version G955FXXU1AQI7 (Android 7.0) rooted through CF-Auto-Root download from firmware.mobi by @Chainfire. I removed a lot of blotware afterwards, and xposed official is installed.
Now I want to install an update while keeping the root and phone data through FlashFire.. I downloaded the latest firmware with baseband version G955FXXU1AQJ5 (3.26gb zip file) which is a minor update and android version is still 7.0 and I am using the same update package as default i.e. same CSC
Moreover I am on stock recovery i.e. Custom recovery such as TWRP is not installed.
Now I want to install this firmware package through FlashFire v0.73 while keeping root as well as data intact.
I suppose I have to pick this zip file (without extracting) from FlashFire firmware menu..
I need your input on steps to get this update through using FlashFire, without loosing root or phone data...
In FlashFire I am getting current binary status as custom.

You probably need a new bootloader for modern firmware, which is something that flashfire flashing is not recommended for. Also if something goes wrong you will have effectively bricked your device as you will need a PC to get it working again.
Also installing a new system requires a full wipe, so you will rebloat and need to reroot and reinstall xposed
Hello, i would like to flash a firmware on my Honor 9 to be able to unlock the bootloader.
I found out i can do this with the dload method, so copying the update.app in the dload folder and then by pressing power + volume buttons install it.
my problem now is i think i found in some question here the files which should give me some firmware with Android 8 before the 6/18 secrutiy patch.
But i dont get which files exactly i now have to put in the dload folder.
The files are:
-update.zip
-> update.app
-update_full_STF-L09_hw_eu.zip
-> update.app
-update_data_full_public.zip
also there is some other stuff in the zip archies
So does anyone know which files should be in it? Everywhere it just says the Update.App but why are there 2 different update.app and all these other files if its just one file to put in?
Also here https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/formatting-with-dload-method.3815949/ in post #5 it says i should put both in?
im super confused
Does anyone also know how i find out if the files i got are actually the right version?
Also i previously tried to install a firmware with Android 7 which told me its invalid when i tried to install it, since apperantly you cant install a android 7 firmware when you are on Anroid 8.
i got the Android 7 stuff from this thread

Hi, I have that problem of the title. What can it be?
It have TWRP and I did a rollback from Nougat to Marshmallow (Current Build BLL-L23C900B120-log) and after the rollback the problem persists, can't even charge my phone because it automatically boot and well, I tried with a lot of roms with C605 and nothing works. I performed a rollback because after I updated it back then it's build was NDR90M test key and it didn't let me open any banking app because of security reasons. Any solution? Thanks in advance.
Sorry if this is not the right forum. I understand that Huawei Mate 9 Lite is the same as Huawei Honor 6X.
Pls don't flash again B380 or any firmware without the data update.app or you may see the NDRM90-TEST keys trust me next time flash B342

Ok there is still a chance to get working again your device
You will need potatonv (if you got the bootloader locked as user not fblock)
B120log zip and B342 Update and Data update
This TWRP
And Huawei firmware extractor
First recover the phone
I don't know if you really had the bootloader unlocked if you don't you need to unlock it using potatonv with kirin 65x (A) the test point of BLL-L23 is located near the fingerprint conector (right of them) short it when connect your phone to get the EDL and start the potatonv also save your new bootloader unlock code and do the OEM unlock
From the B120 update.app open the Huawei update extractor and extract the recovery and recovery2 images
Put the phone in fastboot mode (put USB and press vol -)
And flash
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Fastboot flash recovery2 recovery2.img
Now take a SD card and make the dload folder and copy the b120 update.app here
Put the phone in dload using the 3 button combo (pwr vol - +) and the update should be installed now
If the process is correct your device will boot as normal with android 6.0 B120Log
To correctly update now the bootloader needs to be still unlocked
Flash the TWRP 3.0.3.0 (newers version directly don't boot)
Copy the B342 zip and this OEM info (not the update.app) to the micro SD (THE INTERNAL MEMORY IS NOT AVAILABLE DURING THIS PROCESS) flash first the OEM info reunlock the bootloader using the fastboot OEM unlock next flash the B342 zip
After that reboot and wait until the system boots complete the device oobe and in the phone info you will still get NDRM90-TEST keys
To fix that you need the B342 Data zip delete in the SD CARD the B120 update.app and replace with the B342 Data update.app
Do again the dload combo and let the phone flash the cust and other info if the process is correct you device info will show the correct compilation instead of NDRM90-TEST keys and safety net should work now (Device certificated)
