Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime G610M... Is there any roms? - Samsung Galaxy J7 Questions & Answers

Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime G610M is there any roms iam thinking about buying this phone..

Just bought this phone will be here in 1 to 3 Business days.. i know theres a recovery for this phone but hasnt been updated in awhile and i think theres bugs from what i last read about it.. i havent seen any roms online for it either. When i had the unlocked at&t note 2 i switched to tmobile. The dev of one of the roms made their rom all varient rom so i was able to flash it on my note 2 and use tmobile network.. i wonder if that same thing could be applied for this unlocked j7 prime.

unfortunately the phone has become so popular in some countries, but not for the devs

Im sure in time there will be roms, all youd need is the stock firmware and superRs kitchen and could whip up a custom stock rom. Im going to be using Simple Mobile as my carrier which is powered by tmobile kinda like how virgin mobile and boost mobile are powered off sprint. This is simple mobile if youve never heard of it.

There's actually a few but most of the more popular (lineage , Ressrection remix) are basically non-existent for J7 Prime (I'm on sm-g610f/SD)
I think that's the problem with phones that's basically too new or lesser used...
There's a doomsday ROM, which is basically a debloated stock ROM.

[Q] Doomsday scenerio

I've been flashing my Samsung phones for several years so I don't have a problem with the process. But I've recently acquired the AT&T version of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2/SGH-I497 (data and wifi) and am disappointed to see that the tab is not supported by CM or any other custom roms.
If I flashed a rom created for a non-AT&T version of my tablet, what's going to go wrong? Would I simply need to change the APN back to the pre-flash settings... will it catch fire and explode in my hands.... or something in between?

You can't flash a ROM made for regular tab 2 coz At&t version got different processor (snapdragon) and hardwares so it's pretty much impossible that you can't get these ROMs working on your tab

Best Custom ROM For Phone with Locked BL

Hi All. New to the S3. I was looking for a nice Android phone and a co-worker had one for $40. I jumped in head first considering the price. Then I found out it had 4.4.2 and I was pretty much stuck to TW based ROMs (prefer stock android). I'm OK with that because I'll use a 3rd party launched. I just want all the Verizon bloatware gone. I've read some and it seems most of the custom ROMs are OK but each has their own set of standard features that don't work as they would with a stock ROM or some apps might had issues when running a certain custom ROM. So the question is if your requirement is to reduce/remove the carrier bloatware what's a good ROM?

There are currently only 3 roms that are available for the bootloader locked down S3
And as always, there doesn't need to be threads about what rom is better than the other. Best bet is to always do your own research

Best version of the Samsung Galaxy S6?

So I plan on buying a used Galaxy S6 and wanted to know which version (SM-G9XXX) is the best (most compatible with mods). Because I plan on rooting and modding the crap out of it . The only reason I ask this is because I have bought phones before with the intention of rooting and modding only to find out that it's not possible.

Well depends on where you're from and whether you will be using mm or nougat. The international version g920f seems to be the more supported version kernel and rom wise but there other models such as the g920i/g920w8/t which have a level of Rom and kernel support, do not get the g920a though that has no chance of mods, there are also a few other obscure variants which no one really supports either.
Well thanks :good: . Looks like I'm going to get the G920F.

"New" note 5 owner custom rom flashing questions

Hey There,
Got my self a certified Pre owned note 5 from T-mobile which has been pretty fun to play with. Now I've gotten the Rom flashing bug, however my note came completely updated to the latest "N920TUVU4EQG3" firmware. Can I still just flash the latest TWRP through ODIN and then wipe and flash whatever Rom I want from the Tmobile note 5 section? Or will this cause issues?
Am I correct in seeing that there are no custom roms or custom kernels based on the latest tmobile release "N920TUVU4EQG3" firmware? I guess what I'd really like is just to run stock custom firmware with an awesome kernel and I think id be just fine.
Also do the Kernels/Roms over in the international forums cause issues for the T-Mobile variant?
Also any suggestions for someone who hasnt touched a samsung device in a few years from a flashing/odin perspective are welcomed :]
Hi, I have the same situation, somebody who know something about, so many thanks.
