Since I have upgraded to 7.0 my phone makes a popping/clicking sound, I only notice it when the screen is off and I have not used it for a while. Any ideas?
That is not normal lol, you should definitely get that checked out

Hey there my phone has been making a clicking sound ever since i dropped it from about 10 feet or so, the audio was working fine for a week or 2 and then it started coming and going til it finally stopped and was making a clicking noise, how or can it be fixed?
The only non speaker noise, should be from the camera`s auto focus system, like when you select to use the camera it can make a clicking sound as it initializes.

ok but the clicking coming from the speaker and sometimes i get a static sound, will replacing the speakers fix my problem or is it pretty much a done deal?
have you tried a battery pull or a reset to factory settings, if that does not fix it, you need to get it replaced or repaired.

Pretty much every since the most recent update, every time I restart my Shield it makes a popping noise. This only happens when it has to play a sound for the first time since its unlock weather it be the sound for unlock or music. Is this a known issue, or am I SOL?
not 100% sure if my issue relates to yours but every so often (twice today so far) my tablet gives off a loud well.. not exactly a pop but its a loud distorted noise that lasts only a fraction of a second. (and its loud!. no matter what volume the tablet is on so scares the bejesus outa me when it happens). sometimes accompanied by a very quick 1 frame graphical hiccup if in games or apps.
has me a bit thrown off and a little worried.
ill keep an eye on it and if it keeps happening ill report back so see if there's any consistency with it.
does this sound similar to what you are getting?
I get this too, but its while playing an app game, like CoC.

Me too. Felt like it was gonna blow my ears it a couple times. I was using earphones and the pop is very very loud, no matter what volume the tablet is set on.

Hello, i got my OP 6 from Amazon like 2 days ago and I realized that there is a high pitched noise coming from the top of my phone around the camera area. If i put my ear at the back or middle of the screen I can hear it too. Furthermore the sound is not static, sometimes it's quieter and sometimes it's kind of loud. It kinda sounds like coil whine, if you are familiar with that.
Anyone got that too? I doubt it's normal. I had a custom kernel installed, the bootlader unlocked and everything rooted and set up. But this is really annoying so I went back to stock and locked the bootloader again. I guess I will return it anyways, but Iam not sure whether to get another one.
Edit: The sound is always present, it does not matter whether it charges or not. It does it even when hibernating. It's really weird.
I have noticed that there is a very quiet subtle ticking sound coming from the top ear piece at all times, even when the screen is off. I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this/ can test to see if their device does the same. I've checked my other phones to see if the same thing occurs and noticed that an old moto g (2014) also has a similar sound so I'm thinking it could just normal if the phone is not turning off the speaker and instead is just silencing it with the current still running throught the speaker module.
It's mildly irritating now that I know its there so I wanted to see if all devices have it or not, thanks.
Only got my note 20 ultra a few days ago, I think this started happening once I updated to the latest release. I don't remember it happening before anyway.
Basically it keeps making a popping noise out the bottom speaker when interacting. It's relative to the notification volume, so if its muted it doesn't happen, and the louder the notification volume the louder the popping.
I took a video of it, it's quite clear to hear. Is anyone else experiencing this? It seems like a software issue to me rather than hardware
