What is the default dpi settings?
Sent from my EDI-AL10 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Think it range between 350 and 450 depending on display screen size settings.
the default 432
You can easily change this inside developer options, "smallest width."
So what dpi are folks using? I'm using 480.
Mine came with 392, default. This was after changing to Medium on display. Not sure what it was stock.

You could edit the build.prop or download an app from the Market, called "LCD Density Changer". Smaller density the smaller everything gets on the screen, the higher the density the bigger, stock DPI is 240.
Also an app called nitrality. You can change dpi and its stays even after reboot, also you get secret dial codes like angry GPS(test GPS), and more stuff!!
Big dog Infuse I997 doin some Hellraising
I followed the instructions in the threads I found (yes I looked it up), it says to change DPI to 120 following the instructions on in Rom settings>general UI>LCD density. I changes and giving me the tablet mode, but it doesnt fit the screen. There are large spaces I cant use on my homescreen and my widgets are super small. Is there any way to have tablet mode, but keep my full homescreen? Please be helpful and not mean, 1 Single act of kindness.

That solved the space problem Thanks! But my app icons and widgets are still tiny, any help for this?
in the same launcher, theres an option where you can make bigger icons (preferences -> visual settings -> icons) but let me tell you that if you change the LCD density everything else will looks smaller so I recommend you to change back to 240 dpi. ( sorry for my English )

I thought for tablet mode dpi is suppose to be 128 not 120. 120 might be too small.

I actually got sick of tablet mode pretty quicky, so I went up to 160 dpi which is perfect in every way. But I just switched to Jellytime R1 by randomblame which doesnt have the rom controls, so I used toolbox to change my dpi...but I dont know where to get the correct market. This would be my last question for this thread, I'm pretty satisfied where I am atm, except for the playstore issue
Is it possible to fix camera recording on AOKP 8,5 or 8,6 rom ?
Hi guys!
I just upgraded to slim bean 4.3 from 4.2.8. The install went fine and the phone runs great. The problem I'm having is in the drop down screen, all the text and icons are really small. Also when I use the google search bar, when the browser opens, the text doesn't fill the entire screen, there's appx. 1/4 inch of empty screen that's not being used.. I've gone through (seemingly) everything to try and fix this, I even bought the Nova Pro to try and resize the icons.. This is driving me nuts!!
Can someone please help me ?
Slim bean DPI is 245 by default. most other roms are 320 by default. you can change your DPI under settings > interface > density

Is there an easy solution to increase font size of apps and folders on the home screen. Having problems to read them. They are so small.

Oh i see..not sure if it will make a difference but maybe you can change the layout off home screen to 4x5 and see if it's better. Not sure if there is any other way around it

I use Nova Launcher Pro. It has the feature to adjust the font size for the apps label

Just shrink the dpi settings from the 411 stock. Go to developer options, if you don't have it enable it by going to settings, about this phone and tapping the build number a few times.
Then developer options in the bottom of settings. In drawing options you'll find the number. Change lower to increase all sizes. Don't go too low. 380 maybe. Try it out

Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I change the audio settings like codecs, bits per sample, etc., in Dev Options, back out, go back and they're back to default values. They will never stick. What am I doing wrong?

I use dev settings for dpi and deactivating the animations, and they do stick here
