How to update MHA-L29C185B172?

Hello!
I see update MHA-L29C185B172, but not on FF. I want this update.
Now my phone is MHA-L29C185B158. Battery endurance is not great.
Is battery better this update? How to update for free?

Never mind. I wait but not available. But I install with funkyhuawei so it's problem solved. I hope for good battery. Do you know why, kernel is march but security update is february?

I don't use US version I use middle east north africa version. So I don't know. Sorry.

I don't know what is new. It says no changelog. It says funkyhuawei reddit page:
<<The unreleased MHA-L29C185B172 build has been added to FunkyHuawei. An accurate changelog has not yet been released, but the expected differences are better touchscreen response, and less power consumption for longer battery life, similar to the Chinese B173 build.
Even if you have another Mate 9 model, you can rebrand to MHA-L29C185 and install the firmware, with FunkyHuawei.>>
But trying one day battery time maybe is improved. Here is screenshots.

So far this is working nice firmware. Battery inside one day before was finish 30% but yesterday was with 75%.
What is everybody result?

Just wondering why my play store changed,is it cause i synced my account to OP3 running Android 7.1.1

Can someone confirm if this version will be coming to US models as well or not ?

hi everyone.
two questions:
1: what is FF? is it another repository for firmwares? any links?
2: also, i don't understand the disapproval regarding fu***wei.. I tried installing TWRP on my Mate 9.. ended up almost bricking it.. (it was stuck in a bootloop and adb showed it as unauthorized.. I didn't know what todo)
I used the fu***wei method and although it was a little cumbersome.. (had to do it at home so I could modify the modem settings etc.)
it actually totally worked.. (took a while but it worked) The guy was super responsive too. (I guess I go thte time zones aligned just right to ask my questions but yeah, he'd respond within minutes of my e-mails..)
(btw, I came to this forum looking exactly for this model MHA-L29C185 I wish there were clearer instructions on how to do these things without paying etc but if there is a resource like this why knock it? i'm seriously curious)

HiGame not available for Asia Pacific region?

It seems that it isn't available for devices based in the Asia Pacific region.
However, on my other Honor 6X, that is also from the Middle East, it seems to have HiGame application.
Maybe because I didn't sign into Huawei Services with the other phone?

may be you need to install Huawei mobile services first and option hi care then yu can install via hiApp the hiGames.

I think so too. I don't have it.

Bro I updated Huawei Mobile Services not HiGames or HiApps because I don't find that in Play Store and its not pre-installed

Agreed it is a great resource. The thread said it was in the Play Store though, so I was only commenting that it may not be for all. Thanks for providing the link on apkmirror.

I tried both the 480dpi and nodpi versions on apkmirror... Both installs failed.
Edit: it's not available in the play store for my Verizon model.

Exactly the same experience for me. Also on Verizon.

Same failed experience with the apkmirror versions

used the nodpi version from apkmirror and succeeded.
but still nothing beats truecaller IMHO

yes i downloaded my canadian unlocked version directly from the google play store and it also updates via the play store.

Verizon doesn't want us to install Google phone app... I guess they don't like us having better spam filtering... I really miss it... I get 5 or 6 spam calls a day since i switched to the G7

The ULM version is the same they use for project fi and has the google phone and contacts preinstalled, just disabled while the LG dialer and contacts are enabled.

Tried all the different apks but each one failed to install. Will have to check out true caller. Fuggin Sprint.

Have a t-mobile unlocked G7 and google phone installed directly from playstore with no problems. Not sure yet how well it works for spam filtering, but so far so good.

Cannot get Visual Voicemail to work/show up on Google Phone app. I'm on a T-Mo G7.

So the chinese version even gets a update after the big 9.1 update and people with the international version are left behind with 9.0 ... Ridiculous

AL00 here with the latest update about 30 hours ago.

Needed that update for the camera. 4k was pretty bad. Better now. I just want home screen to rotate to landscape stock launch. My M10P does it . Come on Huawei

I just got it. I opened the app HiCare and hit the update button, and the update appeared

I have the AL00 version and I still dont have it.

I just bought my EVR-TL00 today and updated to 9.1 through hicare. But no matter what I do, I can't receive gmail notifications until I turn on my display.

I have the chinese model and i am stil at 9.0 version. What should i do to get 9.1? I tried through hicare but nothung happened

Install Gmail app from app gallery might help.

Update available for 9.5.5

Latest update is available. Not showing here in the UK yet so used VPN for Germany and there it is.
May security patch and camera improvement apparently. ?

Tried with same but didn't got update.

I installed Oxygen Updater from Play Store and it found the update and flashed it. I am impressed that the Oxygen Updater could find the update and not the general System Update. I paid $0.99 to remove the ads and appreciate the developer for his efforts!

Downloaded the update then installed it with the Local Storage update option from settings.

oxygen updater has malware ads, it will a blank app name and show full screen ads while not using the app.
