Hi Guys,
Tried searching but can't find anything.. On my old SGS4 (running ASOP 4.3) when I used voice dialling I would initiate with:
Call Bob, Mobile (or whatever number)
It would then playback over the headset:
Call Bob - Mobile
say OK/ Cancel
My N5 doesn't appear to do this (it does display the confirmation on the screen)? The reason this is a problem is my motorbike headset, my phone is in my bag/ pocket so I can't see the phone and have no idea who I'd be calling!
Any suggestions?
Nexus 5, rooted, v4.4
Alvin
mine works fine

So you get the ask/ confirm playback? OK... that's good it just means I'm missing a setting somewhere!
Anyone with any ideas where?!
OK... so I've now found out it's working, just very, very quietly.
Any idea which volume this playback is?

And why do it auto record? Any way to turn this off?
I thought I should click the recorder, before it starts recording.

Sorry it is more of speculations as i have no proof but normaly my mobile does a Beep when i record, and i tell the person that i am recording so it is after my country laws so i dont get sued.
Anyway i only tried the rom once, the beep makes me think it is recorded and uploaded somewhere, call it paranoid but i really dont like people to listen in my calls, it is enough my goverment do it tbh.

I found the reason. You could make it beep on connection and losing connection in phone settings.
Thanks anyway
Hi, i recently update android to 6.0. After update audio works just fine, but then someday i decided to turn off whatsapp notifications. From then I was unable to hear audio in the phone: video, phonecalls, etc. Audio still works when using speaker in phonecalls for example, but not in videos or other apps, even in phone calls only works speaker. Another stuff: I received a phone call via whatsapp, i had the bt connected to the car stereo, since then i can't hear BT audio anymore!
I erase all apps settings, wipe cache, wipe data, restarted phone without any apps, but the problem still there.
I don't want to send my phone to the hospital!!!! :crying:need some help! thanxs in advance.
If you got some time, flash the stock firmware images(found on this forums) it will wipe your data though so make sure to make a backup

I just flashed a new 6.0.1 rom XT1541_OSPREY_RETEU_6.0.1_MPI24.107-55_cid7 just fine. Before flashing i made full wipe, but audio still not working: ex.: notifications and speaker in phonecalls works, but not the earphone or audio in videos (not even in speaker). Any idea? thanks, hope i made myself clear.
Weird.. you tested it without any app installed other than the system apps?

when i just restar the phone after installing new rom y made a phonecall, but the earphone was dead, only speaker. Audio in videos is dead in any platform: yt,fb,web.
Any idea? thanx!
Sorry I can't help you, it doesn't seem like a hardware issue so maybe it can still be fixed
Sometimes I have audio issues, like the speaker get dead, and only have audio in headphones (calls, ringer, multimedia). But I slap the phone in my hands a couple of times and the audio returns. It seems to be a hardware problem in my case.
Hi, I am now 1 week Proud owner of a HTC U11 Dual Sim.
I have the problem, for example, when playing videos in YouTube stopped the video after a few minutes (different). Then I have to press Play again to keep it running.
The same happens when I hear music. Both via the HTC speakers and via Bluetooth. It simply ceases after a short time. Again, I have to press Play to make it run. Have also tried other music apps (PowerAmp, DubMusik players), the same problem.
What could be the problem?
THANK YOU!
RUU it.

Hello,
I have a problem with my new Huawei P20.
Yesterday I bought it and, when I turned on, I immediately update to the latest firmware, so I don't know if this is a firmware or hardware problem, maybe a firmware problem.
When I listen a song, a vocal message or something else, the volume, after 1 second, immediately decrease to low, like if you cover the speaker, and I can't increase because the volume bar is at the top.
I can't listen any vocal message, song, video and make call with speakers because the sound become too low; I must listen all whatsapp audios with internal speaker.
I already tried to change a lot of settings or stopped some applications but it's a firmware or hardware problem.
Is there something that can be done?
Is there any other firmware to update or downgrade?
My firmware is: EML-L29 8.1.0.128 (C432)
Thanks

Same issue here after single sim to dual sim rebrand with funkyhuawei.
I don't know if this is the same problem but when I first got my P20 Pro I had audio stop when switching apps. I fixed it by wiping the cache.

not the same issues. But already tried . No results.
I have the same issue, the internal speaker too doesn't work. When I use YouTube or I try to listen a WhatsApp audio I see the bar going very slow. videos on YouTube lag. When I use earphone it's all back to normality.

can you please explain your issues with some more details?
Audio works only with earphones. When they are unplugged I'm not able to listen all types of audio neither phone calls. Sometimes when I play an audio (or a video with audio) without earphones the phone reboots automatically. Every time I try to take a video the phone reboots. The phone reboots casually very often also in situations unrelated to the audio thing, one or two times it returned to the normality but when it rebooted automatically I had again the problem with the audio. It's very annoying because I can't play anything neither offline neither online and the phone reboots casually when I'm doing something (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, the home there is not a determinate situation) . I did a hard reset in recovery mode, I did a wipe cache in recovery mode but anything changed. I think I will send the phone to assistance. I have the original firmware (I have this phone since one week and the issue came out suddenly yesterday)
Does anybody have any updates? I am having the same issue
Audio on speaker and headset on call
Hi Guys,
two big problems audio on speaker goes up and down plus cannot hear anything if calling with the headset, need to replug the headset in order to hear. Does somebody know a fix ?
If you rebranded with funky Huawei there is no fix. I had the same issue but luckily I managed to get the phone replaced under warranty.

Were you able to fix this issue?
For me, the audio always goes lower after about 10 seconds.
Pausing the music or video for a few seconds temporarily fixes the issue
