True it's pretty whack. Unfortunately you require root to gain volume levels.

Hi guys
Really love my HD2... Nice hardware, nice software (with help from cooks) etc.
I have one problem though... The music player!
Im one of those who LOVE music... And lots of it
The problem is related to how you navigate to artists etc... Its so slow! I mean its totally smooth, but the fact that you have to slide your finger for like 10 sec, to get to the bottom, (If you have a lot of music) is a pain... On the iPhone there is a "Letter-scrollbar", from where you can QUICKLY slide to the first letter of the artist you want to hear
There actually also is on the HD2!..... In the "all people" tab! EXATLY what I want is on the HD2, but in the wrong tab (Well its actually also kind of handy to have in the "all people" tab, so no complaints there )
My question/request is: Is it possible, for some hacker extraordinaire, to take the "letter-scrollbar" from the "all people" tab, and implant it in the Music Player. In the artists section preferably
Hope sombody can pull it off!
Anybody? Or am i the only one missing this feature
I dont know how, but maybe, one way or another, we can use the "Letter-scrollbar" from the "all people" tab to activate it in the Music Player... Does anybody have a better idea?

I second that, its the one tiny little niggle left on this phone, its especially annoying when trying to create plsylists, cos you have to keep scrolling for ages! any help would be much appreciated, cheers guys!
Keep on scrollin' I'm waiting for this for months now.
Have you thought about emailing htc to suggest this as a feature?
I dont think HTC will listen frankly... I guess we will just have to wait for some genius, to take the command and make this happen

I wonder if it can be done. I've seen a lot of manila additions, modification etc. but none of these add or change the functionality of manila.
I think we have to wait for the brilliant quiet genius at HTC to make some noise and convince the other less brilliant colleages that the the job has to be done.
If I delete a whatsapp message after the server receives it (one tick) does the person still receive it

I didn't already know the answer I checked after I posted by messaging someone turning flight mode on after one tick (very ninja like if I do say so myself) then deleting the message and waiting to see if the person replied and they did I wanted to find out because I sent some messages but before the person received it I deleted and wasn't sure if they received but I now know that unfortunately they do I answered myself because I saw alot of people having the same question as I found out upon searching I saw this somewhere else before and thought it'd be a funny way of letting people know what the answer was instead of leaving it unanswered

Hi guys.
I'll be very quick and simple (thx mother):
Most of the female keep the mobile in the handbag.among a lot of stuff.
Most of guys keep the mobile somewhere and the ringtone bothers people.
Here my idea: a bluetooth plain bracelet that vibrare when u got a call or a notification.
It's so simple that i think it is already on the mkt.
If not, i would say it could sell a lot.
I'm not in the mkt but i can offer money and share profits from who wanna get in this adventure.
ciao!

Looks like a great idea however I think a lot of women won't wear it because it won't match with their shoes or whatever.
Something what will be better is creating a small device what can be attached on their bra (with a clip or smth like that) so people won't see it.

Ok, as a female I have just one comment: nope! not a chance, not in a million years! Missing a notification is not a big enough deal to clip uncomfortable ugly things to our under clothes that would create all kinds of unsightly and questionable bulges! The first idea has more of a chance, but only if it looked like jewelry. And I still wouldn't buy it...
I have a pebble. It is very useful because my phone (or nexus 7) does end up in my purse on mute pretty much all the time. What I need is a pebble that is not so ugly! Much much much thinner for starters. Then we can talk about making it smaller. Then we can talk about accessorizing so it matches shoes/purse/coat, etc. But at least for me, I need more than just notification that something just happened. I want to know what happened to decide whether it's worth fishing for my phone or tablet in the depths of my purse... usually the answer is: no. And it's nice to know that. Which is why I put up with the pebble being so big and ugly. I could not bring myself to consider any of the bigger options. Most women will not consider pebble either because it is still too big. You want our money, you need to figure out how to make it very thin first, then you need to make it in a variety of shapes and sizes. But all must have a super thin profile to start.

Seems a good idea.
this idea ...
Do you want a bit too perfect..
Different vibrations for different apps
It has been done and it is called a MEMI and you can order one at hellomemi .com . As I have not done "10 posts" I cannot contribute a link and ATM it is iPhone only but the concept is there and working. It looks a bit big and bangley (sp) for me but for a lot of ladies this may be the ticket!
Goofy
P.S Admins freaking editing a post is not spamming your board! This is absolutely stupid! I've been a member since 2011 and I only post pertinent questions and answers here. Goodness lighten up!
This has got me thinking, has anyone tried tethering their phone to their computer, as one would with a car, and pipe the audio through something like pulse audio so that every speaker in the house announces the call.
I'll have to try that later.

What about a doorbell? Your idea COULD hook up to the same system, via bluetooth or something, and be connected to a doorbell, that would make a boisterous cacophony through the house (Westminster Chimes), alerting of a telephone call.

Two chime's for front door, one chime for back door, and a repeating melody for a phone call. Hah, good thing my phone doesn't ring often.
vulcanvillalta said:
Or even better yet, we could resurrect house-lines! A telephone that was connected a the house, and two or three phones were spread around the house....Connect the house line and the cell phone onto the same line, so when you are home, you can put you cell phone somewhere, and be able to access it at any of the phones that you place around your house? Or something dramatic.

I've thought about resurecting my old phones with a voip line, that would be even better.

This has gone far too long. Just write someone a letter and send it through the mail. How awesome would that feel to receive a full-length letter from someone? Phone call be damned, I'm writing a letter.

Yes, the ultimate form of leave me alone phone communication! I shall do the same.
Getting this thread back on track.. lol
I also think this would be a great idea and I am seriously surprised it does not currently exist. What I want is simple, a band that doesn't look like a cheap piece of crap, that mirrors my phones vibrations. Maybe a multi colored LED that also mirrors my phones. Memi doesn't exists yet and is iphone only. Ritot appears to be a scam. Vybe also isn't shipping yet, Fitbit, Sony, Nike etc are just concerned with heart rate and sleep patterns which I could care less about. I want my wrist to vibrate the exact same way my phone does. Weird. The jawbone up24 looks neat but again doesnt appear to do it. Is there a way for an app to send vibrations to a bluetooth device? or do you need a specific API for the device itself?
grr..

Yeah, we've all seen them, but wondering HOW secure they really are? Yeah, I know, anything is hackable, but wanting to know from some real geeks what the best one is and HOW secure it is. I've read the blogs, but who knows.
Cheers.

Nah see, everyone doesn't so instead of just answering the guy and saying hey, most things are here just search next time, you have to be a jerk to each guy and instigate all this extra OT nonsense.
The point is you can't help yourself to be a jerk to people instead of helping them. It serves nothing posting like you do. It's a character flaw you should look in the mirror at.
