With this being so flexible and thin will it really protect like glass or more like a film?
I had one of these for my Note 3, not the same brand, but also claimed to be "glass", but was thinner than other glass protectors (maybe .15mm), and very flexible. It ended up getting a lot of scratches on it like a film protector.

No more like glass, it won't scratch like plastic, I have used this on many phones before

I've been really impressed with the Skinomi protector. The cut-outs are spot on and orange peel is at a minimum. Other protectors with cut-outs for the front facing camera and sensors tend to cut out a portion of the protector rather than having actual holes punched out so that the chances of the edges lifting increases. The Skinomi actually punches out holes in the protector giving the impression of a more finished look. You wouldn't think that there is anything on the screen itself unless you look around the edges and see the ends of the protector tracing the edge of the screen Speaking of the edges, I am really impressed how the skinomi is able to follow the curvature of the screen without lifting. I have had the screen protector on since I received the phone in late November and I have the official bumper on. Scratches and indentations do take a while to clear up, but with the screen on, it is not even noticeable. I am truly impressed with Skinomi.

Best dry install? Spigen Dual, it's literally one of the best protectors I've ever used(hori has the best but theirs are for game consoles). Anyway the quality of the Spigen dual is unmatched, the rear protector almost has full accuracy, it's missing just a little bit of height but not enough to make a fuss over it. And the front, while not covering the curves, still overs great protection. They chose the slim profile for the front to avoid the lifting that normally occurs with the curvy designs, which is honestly a fair trade-off. I would rather have this design than one that allows dust and lifting to occur. Overall I give Steinheil a 9/10 for their efforts.

...I'm currently using a Spigen Ultra Crystal. The 'feel' is fantastic, clarity is as good as naked. I do have an issue with the edges lifting, even though they're no where near the curve in the glass. I fitted both that came in the pack, with the same result. I'm in contact with Spigen CS to figure out what the problem is. In my opinion Spigen are the ultimate protector - I just want my N4 one to fit!

Thanks fot the reply. I was beginning to think no one had a screen protector.
Do you have the case fit one or the normal fit one.
How does it fit?
I have an Mpero Privacy Screen Protector sitting here, will post a review when my N4 arrives (if someone hasn't by then).

Please let us know how it does with the sensors as that screen protector doesn't have a cutout for that.
Is there any protector that will not bubble up because of the case? I dont mind it not covering the curved edges.

Best Skins Ever has an option for a protector cut specifically to be used with a case.
Fantom 4 (my favorite) is made of glass and i would imagine would be good too. on their website they recommend to use it with a case.

Actually contrary to the Amazon image it does indeed have the sensor cut out. I was worried about that being an issue before it arrived, but I'm relieved that it should be just fine.

My mistake. Thats good then!
I'm thinking of getting the ultra-clear or the skinomi one, but I'd prefer a non-glossy screen protector. Are there any Matte-type screen protectors?

You could try the Fantom 5 Tempered Glass protector as it's actually made of glass.
I'm interested in buying the Spigen Steinheil Screen Protector for my Galaxy S4, I'm undecided between Ultra Fine or Ultra Optics as I want anti-glare and matte finish so the screen feel smooth, I've looked at the description for them but still don't get the difference between them,
Also what's the difference between Spigen Steinheil Screen Protectors and the cheap ones?
Ultra Fine (Anti-Fingerprint),
Ultra Fine film is a high quality film with a slightly textured film with 30% increased light transmittance. The Ultra Fine is effective in preventing glare, smudges and fingerprints.
High grade anti-glare hard coated film
Premium matte surface
Good surface hardness : 3H ~ 4H
No rainbow effect

Ultra Optics (Anti-Fingerprint With Clarity)
Ultra Optics film is premium grade screen protector that features a microlens array surface layer. The microlens array on the surface of this matte anti-fingerprint film dramatically increases the light transmittance while offering an excellent, smooth surface texture with smudge resistant property.
Optical Microlens Array Matte film Anti-fingerprint

Difference between Spigen and Cheap 20 packs are that Spigen last longer. They are more scratch resistant. Those cheap ones scratch so easily and you'll have to reapply a fresh protector every now and then.
UltraFine and UltraOptics are exactly as the description says. Think of UltraFine as the standard matte, UltraOptics are probably half matte with the benefits of having antifingerprint properties while being clearer than standard matte, however, it still is matte. I'll suggest you go for ultra optics.
Still unsure about the difference between them, can someone who has both screen protectors or knows the difference fully describe to me please
Can someone help me please

I'm not entirely sure the benefits of the variations either, but I am using the Ultra Crystal one. I think that's the basic one.
I'm very happy with it. No color distortion/hue or interference with sensors or touch sensitivity.

I got something to share to your guys! Real something! The most strong screen protector film for Galaxy S4.
It's made of very strong nano tempering glass, hardness can reach 9H (the common good screen protector film hardness is 3-4H). set it to your Galaxy S4, no need to worry about the key or some other hard things in your pocket will scratch the screen anymore. Smooth & comfortable touch sense, remove fingerpring, high light transmitting outpu to enable you enjoy watching vedio and playing games!
Just Love It!
Is it just me or is this "benkstech" guy here to advertise products?
Glass to protect my glass? you can just replace the actual screen youself for a fraction of those glass screen protectors for glass screens

it's .2mm thickness. how long have you used this 9H protector? Is there any aspect fading if it has been used for long time. The 9H protector cost much more than common ones. but i think it worth even i use it only for few weeks.

No, it's not a glass. It's a thin screen protective film, made of different layers. You can install and use it as similar steps with common screen protectors. but far strong from the common protective films.

You got. Thanks. sorry i didn't clarify clearly. Haha. The explosion layer is for protect the phone screen only. NOT that amazing functions actually(because the screen and the phone is always taken by user'shand, haha).
I had a previous case with a screen protector built in for my S9+ and it worked great, but I'm having issues now. I found this one:
Case with Protector, but it says not compatible with fingerprint ID. I assume this is because of the fingerprint built into the screen?
Does anyone know of a case that has a screen protector AND works with the fingerprint reader? Or is the built in protector not possible due to the fingerprint reader in the screen now?
I would assume no built in screen protectors will work..in order for the FPS to work, the screen protector has to basically be attached to the screen with zero air gap between phone and protector..

and this was on the S10+?
For screen protector I would go with whitestone dome. For me it acts the same as if I had the preinstalled samsung film. I would then go on amazon and check out reviews and questions for whitestone dome. People tend to post their comparable cases. I am using the UAG Monarch and it fits without a problem.
I HIGHLY recommend the Whitestone protectors. The adhesive makes them SUBSTANTIALLY more chip/crack resistant and the touch sensitivity is light years ahead of other protectors (like ZAGG). It was my go-to on Note and now S10+.
I am a minimalist and finally found a case that's thin but also adds SOME protection. TORRAS on Amazon. The hard plastic has a matte finish, amazing touch and feel but little protection. The silicone option is thin, has ridges to protect camera and screen but slides in pants and pockets easily. It DOES offer drop protection relatively.

I actually just picked up the TORRAS Slim on Amazon, not sure if it's the same one you have. Currently I'm using the Spigen Rugged Armor... but it's too thin in my opinion. This is a great deal at $9.95. it includes two glass protectors and so far is not bad. Hard to line up over the front camera port but had good drop protection and feels nice in hand.
