1. Yes but not for beginners. Might have to pay someone. Unless you find someone really good, screen will never be the same as factory.
2. Easier method would be buying full front housing that includes the LCD and digitizer.
3. Google. New phone so best bet is AliExpress.
4. Case and glass screen protector for the butter fingers.
A glass screen protector will often shatter instead of the phone screen if dropped on its front face. Then all you need is a decent case with corner cushions and you'll be protected from most everyday drops.

Open HiCare and read your warranty status. In Europe you get a free screen replacement in the first 3 months of ownership, no questions asked. Seeing that the device was only released 2½ months ago I'd say you're covered.

So, US doesn't get the free screen replacement? I recall seeing some unboxings where a screen warranty was included, of course mine purchased from best buy didn't have one

No idea. You need to check in HiCare > Me > After-Sakes Service. On my device it mentions coverage for 32 European countries.

Dear customer,
Thank you for contacting Huawei Switzerland Customer Care Team.
Regarding your issue, the VIP Replacement is only for the Mate 9 device only. The Mate 9 Pro and the Mate 9 Porsche Design do not benefit of this feature. Also, can you tell from where have you purchased the device? Thank you very much!
We trust the above information is of assistance to you. However, should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to get back in touch.

They football me instead of helping. On Poland website of Huawei there is no way to email to the Poland service directly, there is only general inquiry and redirect to the International site there. I don't have any way to ask Huawei Poland service center to help me. Anyway I am not in Poland and I cannot come to this country just to give them my phone. This is the dead-end.
I have replaced the screen of my old Xperia Z, so it's very possible to do it yourself. Yes, buy both -- screen and digitizer..
and also get a flipcase, something that would cover its front.. good luck!

Call them back : you can return your device and then they will send you an other one. This way you won't be temporaly charged.
What I mean is that this is the other way to go : send the mobile first, then receive an other one WITHOUT credit card debit.

I am realy not sure this is a legal RMA process in Europe.
I have had a closer look to PlayStore RMA's rules, and for France it clearly states that you have 15 days after you bought the device to ask for refound EDIT : and no need to explain why :
-15 days to contact Google's RMA's services
- then 7 days to ship your device to Google
- then they have 14 days to refound your Google wallet's account.
Try to check return policies for your country, but I think they are all the same for all European country.

That's too bad it's quite the phone for it's price. Maybe check out the Moto G if it's available in your area. Any phone has a chance of defects however.
I emailed them and asked how long until i receive my return package they said
"Hello,
Thank you for contacting Google, It was a pleasure assisting you. Thanks for contacting us about refund/warranty replacement options for your device. At this time, refund and warranty replacement service from Google is only provided within the country from which your device was originally purchased. Under no circumstances can we cover international shipping costs to return your device to the original country of purchase. If you have any further questions regarding this policy feel free to reply to this email or contact us at 855-83NEXUS, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Please note that some manufacturers offer warranty repair service in select areas outside of the original country of purchase. Please check your device manufacturer's website to get more information about out of country warranty repair services."

Your best bet is to purchase the Honor 8 UK edition thru vmall.eu (https://www.vmall.eu/uk/honor-8-blue-292297/) which includes a warranty (see specifics here: https://www.vmall.eu/uk/warranty-policy/). If you have any other questions regarding the device and warranty policy, please let us know. (NS)

The estimated arrival times are taken directly from information provided by our couriers. These are estimates only, and EXPANSYS are not responsible for any variation.
If selecting a next working day service, goods will need to be signed for. To help, please give a delivery address where someone will be available to sign.
Please note: Next day delivery service is available only when orders are invoiced and/or shipped out.

If you get told they can't sell them on the phone and online only, then hand up and call back until you get someone who knows what they are doing. took me three attempts. must be why they are called three!
Buying them Honor devices from Three UK you get the same warranty as if bought online via Vmall.UK.So trust assured you good on all accounts and Vmall will deal with you directly once bought.

I think 1 year is good enough already... usually after 1 year, manufacturer will stop/slow down upgrade, at that time, you have to rely on developers from XDA or places alike.

i have to agree here, most places will only offer a year anyway as after this they normally have slowed down production and are at that point concentrating on another product.
if its that much of a problem about aftercare i would personally find good insurance for your phone after the year is up @OP
i have insurance on all my electronics so i never pay a thing for breakdowns etc.

I wrote a message to dbrand last week. They aren't anticipating it because as they said to me in the email, there wasn't a large want or anticipation for this phone. The more the people write them requesting, the more it might be a possibility.

Yeah but not really as they shipped more than 100 millions smartphone this year and may be leapfrogged Apple in the market share unless the actual figures come out.
There is a tough competition between apple and Huawei now and being pocket friendly, it may go up anytime.

Yes, huawei is predicted to surpass apple this year again.... But china plats key role in numbers.... They failed in staying in top 3 in makets like India or US where there was a huge chance.

They cant in US because of security reasons and India die to Xiaomi
As the title says, my phone got a cracked screen after it slipped out of my pocket and landed screen first. After it happened I nearly puked to see how large the crack was after falling from such a small height. Right after that, I called HTC support were they said it would be $2-300 to repair it, but I was welcome to find a local shop to do the replacement for me. I called around my area, and the repair shops said that they couldn't source the screen, but If I did, they would do the replacement for me. I've tried my hardest to find one, but I am unable to find one, as most results are yielding screens for the u12 life.
So with all that being said, if anyone has found a store that sells replacement screens, please let me know. Thank you.
Check out eBay. Did a quick search and found a couple vendors that sold them. Good luck.

Are you sure it's the U12+? Every single listing I see is for the U12 Life.

Hi!
Sadly the same happened to me, and i managed to find a few places that sell this. I found out the exact part number, so in the future it should be easier to search for it. PN: 80h02142-02.

Thanks for linking those screens. They are still a little bit too expensive for me, so I will wait a month or two. Hopefully by then the price will come down.
