Hello guys, I decided to leave my aging Nexus 5 to come back to the good old Xperia brand, I got myself this beautiful device that is our beloved Xperia XA (got it free on contract so yea that's cool)
image is better than words so here's a screenshot:

my question is: Why do 5.9 + 3.1 = 12 ???
PS: cache is empty
Thanks in advance!
I think it's because the app don't show you all partitions. If you use third-party app or TWRP you will see the difference (and the truth).
oh alright so, thanks a lot mate !
I'm having a problem with storage too. I tried using adoptable storage but something went horribly wrong to the point I have to reformat my whole sd card as well as my phone. Is there a definite (like safe-proof) way to do adoptable storage?

Works fine for me, just a display bug who show wrong memory size. I use "root essentials" to enable Adoptable Storage (full, not mixed). Format your SD with Gparted (don't work with default Windows format tool) in FAT32 before enabling it and after disabling it to avoid corrupted SD.

My P6200 is using stock ROM in HoneyComb.
I can't find "Connect to PC" on Setting menu. So when i plug in the tab to the computer I don't get the option to mount as hard disk, internet sharing, charge only.... that menu is missing.

Why do you want the direct block device to mount instead of using the MTP interface?

I'm using a company-owned laptop so I can't install Samsung kies or Samsung USB driver. I need to mount internal storage card to share data from laptop to tab.
Sadly, this isn't available on any samsung device, only mtp and camera mode - both rubbish frankly. I think most people simple work round this by pulling the microsd card and using a card reader to transfer data.

This is my 3rd Samsung device, but it is the first time that I can't mount internal storage. My last device is S2 Skyrocket and Tab P1000, they have option to change into mass storage.
Hi,
I'm getting this error on start up:

I'm showing 0.91GB (1.97GB total) free in first internal storage
1.58GB (11.25GB total) free in the 2nd internal storage
26.82GB (29.76GB total) free on my SD card.
I've tried clearing the cache partition as posts from other devices suggested. I really don't want to do a full wipe so I hope someone has a quick fix.
Everything seems to be working fine, just not sure why I'm getting that error.. I only get the error on start up. I can get into Play Store fine (unlike others who have reported the same error message).
I'm running CM10 20130114 NIGHTLY and have seen it for the few week. I'm not sure if it's the ROM, some app, or something I did.
Much appreciated for any assistance.
you have all your pictures, video and music stored on the internal phone storage, and the external SD is almost empty. Move everything to external SD to get rid of that message
I freed up 3GB in the internal storage and am still getting the error.. I'll just do a full wipe on the weekend. Thanks for trying though.
Same problems
I have the same problem too.
I have 0.9 GB (1.97GB total) free in first internal storage
3.5 GB (11.25GB total) free in the 2nd internal storage
I'vw just updated to CM10 20130117 NIGHTLY and from that time I see this warning everytime I reboot.
I wiped full data before i upgrate and i dont know what is the problem. My phone still runs ok
Any one can solve this problem without wipe full data again?
solution
I found the solution
this is a known issue caused by Viber and/or Lucky Patcher. Move Viber to the SD Card, and it should be solved
Erm, what if it's lucky patcher?

Yesterday I got all my root set up and working fine on my Redmi Note 9 Pro using Magisk (albeit without TWRP installed as I didn't know anything about it at the time) then I decided to install the Smali Patcher module with Magisk so that I could Spoof Pokemon Go with my son in the evenings. I created the module no problem, but when Magisk flashed it, my phone bricked and got stuck in a bootloop to fastboot. I eventually got TWRP installed and factory reset my phone in the "WIPE" menu, I used the standard Wipe that deletes user data etc then factory resets the phone. Everything seemed fine, I was able to set up the phone as per normal until after about half an hour I noticed none of my apps had installed yet. I went into the Play Store and most of had a "couldn't restore" error on them and clicking on one and trying to force it to install would come up with an error about insufficient storage space.
I plugged my phone into my PC to have a look and to be amazement, Internal Storage doesn't show up at all, only the SD Card shows. After over an hour, only one or two apps have successfully installed so I assume they are installing onto the SD card and that's why they are taking an absolute age to install. Most of the apps just flat out won't install so I can pretty much just make a phone call, that's it. Am i right in thinking I have corrupted my Internal Storage somehow and the OS is now isntalled onto the SD card? Maybe the Internal Storage has been formatted and not reallocated or something? How do I go about restoring my phone to how it should be ie 64gb Internal Storage.
I have tried restoring to factory settings again and it made no difference,

Reflash phone's original Stock ROM to get rid off of all the modifications you applied so far.
Hi, I have a problem that I don't know how to solve: when I try to get files bigger than 125 MB teracopy show "Error trimming file" error message.
The transfer is made with teracopy from a windows 7 pc and landrive app ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.webrox.landrive&hl=it&pli=1 ) on android.
I don't think that it's bug of teracopy or landrive, because it's happen only with files bigger than 125 mb and not with small files. For this issue I have written a question here ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ing-kernel-and-compile.4547375/#post-88123973 ) in particularly the part related to ext4 filesystem but nobody has answer me .
How can I solve this issue ?

Update : I have scanned microsd with hdtune and all sector are ok (green)... there is a bug? Problem occur with galaxy S9 snapdragon both with Android 9 and Android 10
For the Multimedia Card and the SD card it is the ERASE command, which performs a non-deterministic TRIM operation. Non-deterministic TRIM means that after an ERASE command a new read of the respective block number ( cf. Logical Block Addressing, LBA for short ) returns undetermined data. This can be data from other blocks and also different data for each read attempt.
Why is called ERASE command if I'm making a copy to microsd? How can solve this issue? What is the cause?
Ask developer of the app you used this question.
so You think that is a problem related to teracopy and not to android?
It in no case is Android OS related: it happened PC side!
I'm pretty sure the error occured because you didn't perform a Copy but a Move.
If you would do a Google search for "Tera Copy Pro error trimming file" you probably can get the reason why this error occurs.
no, I'm sure to have performed a copy and not a move... are You sure that isn't related to file system (and/or cluster dimension) ? Even because I have format microsd to windows and considering that it was of 128 gb, I can't use FAT32
