I had the Brando but managed to smash it (long story!), I wasn't too impressed by its oleophobic coating though, didn't seem much better than the ASF. I ordered the Orzly to give it a try - it and Brando are both available via Amazon UK, so that's a plus.
I'm also going to just try some Fusso anti-fingerprint fluid coating on the ASF to see if it improves at all (especially the anti-static). I keep it in a pouch, so scratches aren't really an issue so far, but I can't stand how filthy it gets [Amazon link]
cheers for your comments, if you could keep me update on Orzly it would be nice so that i could include any review + comments on the OPs. How u think of Brando as I am thinking to get one too.
The Brando seemed decent enough while I had it on, but to the touch didn't feel much different to the ASF, and picked up just about as many smudges. The rounded edges are nice, but catch the light so are quite visible framing the screen as brighter lines. It fits snugly at bottom and top, but with noticeable margin on left and right. It's very clear with no rainbow effect, but cools the screen color a little.
I had the same problem as with all tempered glass solutions: it's reaaaallly hard to get them on without lint getting trapped, even in a steamy room. As the glass has no flexibility and no grippable edges, it's tricky to lift it back off to use the stickers to remove lint without damaging it. Some other manufacturers give you an anti-static film to use on the surface first, but not Brando.
To get the best fit, I recommend positioning and taping it on the long side before taking off the protector so you can just drop it on without fiddling, and then don't smooth out the bubbles until you've got any lint out.

Hmm, might be good to have links for all 3 variants since the are sold both as a pack and as separate front and back. Also, back is 0.2mm just like the front, according to Rakuten.

bought the Nillkin.. there are hairline scratches and surface is finger print magnet
what I know from experiences (Used screen protector and glass), i prefer glass for the reason of Sony Z1C has a crapy ASF which scratch easily and dust magnet. Glass brings premium feel, eliminate fingerprints, scratch resistant, and impact resistant. If the Z1C does not have ASF on and if they used Gorilla glass, i would not use tempered glass on top as i know gorilla glass is quite good.
Normal screen protector hardness does not go above 5H therefore tempered glass 9H considered more scratch resistant than others.
How come Sony doesn't use gorilla glass??? My old phone had it and I used no protection what so ever... amazing me think

AFAIK they use DragonTrail glass, it's pretty much the same thing since neither of the two are shatter proof. Other phone manufacturers are just smarter about how to make the glass not shatter upon breakage, on iPhone for example the glass is glued directly to the LCD. Makes repairs harder/more expensive but in return it doesn't need an anti-shatter film. Sony has apparrently learned from their mistake so the Xperia Z2 will not have an ASF.
I bought the Crystal Armor listed here (front and back) and put it on last evening. Application is easy using the taping method, and I love the feel of this protector. Very smooth and slick, like your on the glass. No scratches yet... going to let it travel in pocket etc... and see how it does in the coming weeks.
I removed the ASF first, and the fit of the protector overall is very good. No pics taken yet to test flash bleed...

I too bought the CA protector for my z1c, but only for the front and so far its been good. I like the fact that it covers the whole screen and has no cut outs for sensors/camera. The only issue I have with it after 4 days of use is a couple small hairline scratches. Luckily they aren't too easy to spot unless you have good light and look carefully.

Has anyone used DragonTrail glass before? I have a almost two year old HTC One S with Gorilla Glass, never had a screen protector film or something, and the glass looks pristine. If Dragontrail glass has a similar track record I might just take the film off and forego the protector altogether.
Not used Dragontrail naked (This is my first Xperia), I used HTC one X with Gorilla 2 and it was quite tought (Drop few times, for 2 years no protector and only few hairline scratches, can see it if pointed to light and specifically look for it).
My question is : - If DragonTrail so tough why put ASF from the beginning? and What the scratchibility of DragonTrail compare to Gorilla?
Not seen any reviews and experiences of Dragontrail nake but however I found a video demo Dragontrail.

a) I think a good reason has already been pointed out in the thread above. They sometimes use additional ASF (anti shatter!) to prevent the glass from breaking into sharp pieces one can get hurt with. It may be tough, but everything has a breaking point, so when the Dragontail glass finally shatters the ASF keeps the pieces together. Other manufacturers solve this problem by applying glue to the whole surface and combining the digitier and the screen completely over the entire surface so they don't need ASF but are harder to service and repair.
b) I looking up Dragontrail on english Wikipedia and it had a Vickers hardness rating of around 600, the Gorilla Glass is quoted in Wiipedia as having similar numbers. So it seems the glass is about similar. I think I will peel off the ASF and just keep it naked.
I've received the Orzly now, too, and can confirm that it doesn't have sensor or camera cutouts, and is very similar in quality to the Brando, although the edges are not as rounded - in fact barely rounded at all. Also an annoyance: although the box states that it contains a dust remover film with instructions on how to apply it, in reality it just has a couple of crappy dust removal stickers. Useless for tempered glass, since you really want to get it on first try without trapping anything at all.
I haven't put it on yet, because I'm currently trying the Fusso anti-fingerprint fluid on the ASF. So far, after a couple of coats, results are positive: smudges improved, a lot smoother to the touch, and best of all it doesn't attract all that lint and fluff anymore. Hooray! This might be a good solution for those who don't want the bulk of a protector but want to improve the quality of the ASF (and don't care too much about scratches).
after installed the nillkin glass protector on my z1c, i have noticed a couple small scratches on the device. It is not as good as it has advertised. Rather disappointed but it is the cheapest glass protector compare to other products. Look like the hunt for a decent glass protector is back on again

I have been searching online - ebay and Amazon, mostly... Is the screen of the device curved so the a rigid screen protector will only cover up to the curve? Or cover over the curve which leaves a sticky gap? How about cases? I am really looking for a 2 part case like Otterbox but I am only seeing flip cases. I know that an Otterbox style would make it a bulky monster but I like them... Any recommendations? I like to have those things BEFORE I even open up the phone box!!!

The entire front side of the device, including the screen, is completely flat. I have a glass-type screen protector and it covers entire front side (with holes for speaker, proximity sensor and camera).
Never had an otterbox case so can't say how device would fit into it. If it helps, other than camera and volume buttons, the back side is flat too.

With this being so flexible and thin will it really protect like glass or more like a film?
I had one of these for my Note 3, not the same brand, but also claimed to be "glass", but was thinner than other glass protectors (maybe .15mm), and very flexible. It ended up getting a lot of scratches on it like a film protector.

I just installed Whitestone Dome's camera lens protector and my clear phone case from Amazon isn't sitting flush around the camera edges because of the protector. Has anyone found a good phone case that works well together with the protector and actually sits flush? Thanks.

I would recommend uninstalling the lens protector. The lens is already protected by the outer glass of the camera module. Adding another piece of glass won't give you more protection and can cause image quality problems (lens flare, ghost images, loss of sharpness).

These camera lens protectors do not cover the actual lens, they go around the edges of the camera lens, so there is no distorting of image quality. Check the link I posted. They simply protect the edges and also raises the bezel so when you place the phone face down on a surface, the camera does not make contact with the surface.

I'm using the Spigen clear TPU case with the Whitestone camera protector. It wasn't a 100% fit but the case is supple enough to mold around it just fine.
