I'm a little late on this update that was rolled out a while now to the existing MM Idol 3. What are the changes in this update ? And how could I flash this update to my rooted (with Xposed modules installed) idol 3 (6045I) ?? And is it worth it?
How Much Mb is Update?
I got an update for my Bell 6045i on January 12/17 that is running a stock 5.02 ROM. The meta data says this: post-build=TCL/6045I/idol3:6.0.1/MMB29M/v7VGE-0:user/release-keys
post-timestamp=1479722708
pre-device=idol3
The file size is 1,391,930 KB, probably because it will take my phone from stock 5.02 to the latest MM release.
If the phone is already running stock MM, the update is probably a security patch and maybe some bug fixes.
If you are going from 5.02 to Marshmallow, the update is well worth it. It's way smoother

I'm presently downloading a 110MB update on my Bell S4. I imagine it must be a similar update to 4.4.4 that AT&T users are getting today.
Has anyone installed it yet?
can you post screen shot after update bcuz this doesnt sound like 4.4.4 to me, at&t user got update around 300 mb and yours is 110 mb but still just post screen shot
Yeah, it's still on 4.4.2... Went from NE1 to NI2
Has this update been out for a while and I just missed it?
If so, how long ago was this released? Changelog?
Go back and try another update and see if it finds anything else. Since they are PATCHED updates at the approx 300mb size. So you could not just jump from a 4.2.2 to let's say 4.4.4. You would need to increment from 4.2.2 to 4.3 to 4.4.3 to 4.4.2 (IF you didn't flash the update zip in stock recovery rather than taking ota's).
Tried to check for another update. Says that the latest is installed.
Found that NI2 was released in October (had missed it). Anyone know what was changed?
I previously rooted my Note 3 (I do not remember what technique I used). I also disabled OTA updates using NoBloat Free. I have since removed root using SuperSU but the normal method for checking for updates does not work. I also tried to clear the Google Services Framework as well as the "*#*#" trick.
Does anyone know what I need to do in order to get the system update functionality working again? If not, is there a way to to a manual OS update? I'm currently running 4.4.2 and I would like to upgrade to the latest version of Marshmellow. Here are some other specs - Baseband N900PVPUCNAB, Kernel version 3.4.0-533717. Any suggestions?
As an update, I just performed a factory reset....still nothing. Nothing happens when I click on the Update option. The same goes for "Update PRL" and "Update Profile."
There is no stock MM for the note 3?...AFAIK Note 3 ended with LP. There are a couple CM based roms on MM.

Thanks but I have no idea what you wrote.
There is no Marshmallow for the note 3. Samsung never put it out for us; they left us of at lollipop. However if you re root you can install Marshmallow from a third party. Such as Cynagenmod.
So long story short if you want OTA updates on the note 3 you are stuck of at LP. If you want MM you must root and flash custom ROM.
My phone Honor 4c is currently experiencing unexpected problem.
It started after I downloaded the updates in my phone using wifi and my stock build was B070 then after the 2 updates which was downloaded accidentally my build goes to B180. I tried many things just to revert this and go back to my old build which is B070 but the version failed it keeps saying error/failed..
Can someone help me with my problem, i really want to upgrade my phone's OS from KitKat to Lollipop or even further (Marshmallow)
Why do you want to revert back to B070 from B180. You have to take OTA updates to upgrade to a newer version. Sit tight and you'll automatically receive the Lollipop update B320.
my build no. is b180 and when i check the updates in settings and said that no updates available?
pls help, i want my huawei honor 4c to be lollipop to marshamallow, pls help
sorry for bad english,hahah

Hey everyone.
I've stayed on Marshmallow since I got this phone, but now that Oreo has started rolling out on various devices, and Xposed is available for Nougat (I can't live without MinMinGuard anymore), I figured it's time for an upgrade to (stock) Nougat. I'm currently on EMUI 4.1, Android 6.0, version FRD-L09C432B131. Can I update to B403 without losing my data and access to root and Xposed? B403 is the highest version approved for installation for my device that I found through the Firmware Finder for Huawei app.
Googling on this issue hasn't left me much wiser; Can I just flash my stock recovery and boot partitions to enable the upgrade process, download and update through the firmware finder app, reflash newest twrp and then reflash supersu and xposed from twrp once on 7.0, all without losing my apps and data? I've used this phone as my daily driver for nearly two years, and I would like to avoid having to set it up from scratch as much as possible, as that's a pain-in-the-ass process that'll take me ages.
Anyone have any experience doing this? Any input is appreciated!

You have root you will loose that , you need to flash it stock b131 as you have and go to hisuit i download the next version , after once updated go firmware finder and update new one update like c432b380 and next update is 382 you download it with FF and update and second is 391 you download id with FF and keep doing that until you reach the b403 i did that on my c432.
Hi, about a year ago i tested some custom rom's, but i had some problem with them so i came back to Stock ROM, stock bootloader, locked the bootloader. Im using it from then, and it runs fine, im happy with it. But my problem is that my security updates are from: 1st September 2017, my EMUI is: 5.0.1 and Android 7.0 - NXT-L29C432B582. HiSuite tells me that my system is up-to-date same as i click to check for updates in phone settings. Is that normal, or i am not getting the updates for some reason? If so how can i restore them?
