I'm on the latest beta. Should I go back to factory stock MM to get the official Nougat update or will I get it quicker being on beta?
I received an update just now to build number mmb29m.g935pvpu4apl6 but no Nougat.

Yeah i guess we here in america will get the full version much later i guess. Maybe even closer to the end of the month unless it is sprint who is postponing it for us
I just did a google search for news on the update and it looks like it might be halted for us till February. It looks like samsung had to send out a beta 7 version to china and europe cause of some bugs. So we might not get the full version till next month maybe.

The final release of 7.0 started rolling out today to beta users so it should be showing up soon for any non-beta users OTA. Just searched Google /24 hour and more sites are making it news.

Couldn't find any unique screenshots for this variant yet, but I imagine it's most of the same stuff. I can't even find much about T-Mobile and At&t. I wanted to know which features are taken away compared to the exynos version or comparing them to different carriers. The net is flooded with months old news from the exynos version as far as pictures and videos even in articles that are for US/China qualcom. We are just late to the party lol.
It hit my phone around 1am last night. Should be out to all beta testes by end of day (according to a sprint rep)

According to the Sprint reps post in the Samsung Beta app, non beta users should start receiving it tomorrow in waves. Full rollout should be reached by the 27th or 28th

So, Nvidia has final re released marshmallow for k1, thanks to at&t tho, the lte model still hasn't been pushed through. What the hell at&t? So I have to do a bunch of crap to get the update unofficially, (root, unlock bootloader etc.) I feel like I shouldn't have to do all this just to receive an update that should have been here already. The only reason this makes me angry it's because my Shield tablet is having touch screen issues out of nowhere and I'm hoping the new marshmallow update will fix this. I swear, I'm never getting a carrier branded device ever again. Looks like I should have gotten the pixel c.

What kills me is the original LTE wasn't a "carrier branded" device. It was sold unlocked LTE yet ATT bloatware comes as standard and after it is enabled can not be disabled! My non rooted stock 6.0.1 can no longer SMS after the 4.1 update, I have no relationship with ATT as I use an mvno. My text and data plan had been working flawlessly til now! Are you folks able to SMS on the 4.1 update?

I saw on the T-Mobile website that this week we will be getting the August and September Security updates plus LTE-A support to get is 194mbps downloads and uploads with a maximum of 400mbps on the network possible. SO we will be getting an update with faster network speeds. Also there will also be a new gallery app and also the cloud support thing. I do think that they patched the root from what I have been hearing. I do also know that we are getting the update by the end of this week. YAH.

I tried via my phone and via SamFirm and no update yet.
So we're getting 2 software updates one this month and another next month. The article also says "Customers with the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will be able to use this new technology with a software update in October, with more phones on the way." For the 256 QAM and 64 QAM.
I'd the update don't hit your area why even bother. Denver needs it more than any other state why? Well in you live here you would have noticed the influx of people ever since 2012 when weed was made legal. No, don't pay attention to internet scuttlebutt. That being said, nobody truly knows when the official will ship, but TMO has been excellent with providing timely updates in the past. I suspect it will ship sooner rather than later.
I checked the T-Mobile software update site last week and the S7 edge was only in the Manufacturing Development stage. It has since moved to the T-Mobile Testing stage. I would think we'll see the update sooner than later.

The sad thing is that the non-carrier variants for US (G935U) doesn't even have Nougat beta or whatsoever. Plus, T-Mobile let its customers know at least the stage of Nougat release on the phone while Samsung has no mention of Nougat coming to 935Us. Also, the non-carrier variants are on a quarterly update cycle for security updates too. So, it would seem that, at least in the US, get the carrier variants for Samsung phones.

It was released randomly for the SM-N920C 2 ¹/² weeks ago in Turkey...
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=71465602
...so it shouldn't be too much longer for the rest of the world to get it. Depends on when your service provider decides to release it though. I asked T-Mobile when it would be for SM-N920T and they pretty much said that they weren't allowed to say, that it would be sometime in the near future and just to keep an eye out for it. No one knows when it will be released, but literally EVERYONE is waiting for this, so believe me you'll know when it arrives on XDA.

Here's a write up about the Sprint Note 5
http://phandroid.com/2017/04/06/sprint-galaxy-note-5-nougat-update/
Folks rocking the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will want to be on the lookout for an OTA to hit their phone. It’s Nougat!
The update is coming in as version N920PVPU3DQC5, a 1.4GB affair. It’ll be receiving all of Nougat’s new features and those which Samsung are delivering as part of a big upgrade to TouchWiz. It may even make your phone feel brand new, though we aren’t promising anything. Oh, and its security patches are fairly up to speed with a March 1st, 2017 level.
Anyway, for such a massive file size you’ll want to make sure you’re on a WiFi connection and have a decently charged battery (let’s say more than 50% to be on the safe side) before attempting to pull it down. Head to the settings menu on your phone to look for it manually if it hasn’t already hit your notifications tray.

I made this tutorial awhile ago for people with root to still be able to receive the update. Doesn't work if you're currently using a Nougat rom though. Can be done easily however from either stock Marshmallow or a Marshmallow rom that's based on your devices firmware.

I read in one of the threads that they have some method of pulling the hidden OTA updates from the update server. The crazy thing is there's new builds every few days. It seems crazy to have to wait months for a new update, and when it comes its still a month behind on security patches.
If you watch the t-mobile and ATT threads specifically, you'll see the Ota updates. Be warned, most don't pass safety net (ARC6 was the last one before ARE6 to pass), so if you need Google Pay or anything else that relies on safety net, your screwed. The other warning is that these OTA files factory reset your device.

You don't know until someone tries to use something like say Google Pay. For an update to pass SafetyNet, Samsung has to submit it to Google, and then Google has to Certify it. No idea why it's so big. The problem with these unofficial OTA updates is that your not really sure *what* is in them, with the exception of a possible new security patch level.
Have you actually gotten Google Pay to run on ARF2?
