i thought it was a wiered problem.. glad you figured it out
Yeah, that has happened to me a couple of times on my Note 8.0 WiFi edition. Just clear the cache files in the internal storage of your device and that seems to fix everything.

The Youtube Apps stopped working on my Nexus One. I have the stock rom. I ask my friend to test his and his does not work either. He is using Cyanogen mod 5.0.5. Is anyone else having a problem using the Youtube App? Is there a fix for this? Thanks.
Works fine here.
Think you could be a little more specific about the issue? Saying it doesn't work doesn't tell us anything at all.

Sorry about that. When I try to view a video with the youtube app it opens, but nothings plays in the beginning. Sometimes the audio plays, but you see no video. If you skip forward, you will see the video stopped and the audio continues to play. I sometimes receive the error message: "Sorry, this video is not available". I have tried this using wifi and 3G with the same result. This also happens to videos I used to be able to play using the browser. Everything worked fine about a week ago. It seemed to just stop working all of a sudden.
Fine here (UK) on Wifi and as a bonus I just watched the chatroulette piano guy that was featured and it is brilliant so thanks for getting me to test so I could see that

in my experience, that happens when the video isn't formated (or format isn't available) for mobile screen/in mobile format/whatever.
nothing is wrong with the youtube app itself.
My problem with the YouTube app is that it often takes 'forever' to start playing the video! In fact, sometimes it will never start.
Somewhat embarassing when my wife's iPhone 3G can get to the same video and play it immediatly....
Have you tried watching in High Quality instead?
I have the same problem but in a different app, Tubedroid where downloaded videos can't be seen even though I can hear it. Turns out I can't download videos in HD, only high quality.

I hate this also. I pretty much gave up on YouTube which is crazy because you would think Google would support their own software the best.
Yeah, on stock youtube takes foorrrrrever to load up a video, even on a wifi connection. Oddly enough, the version that comes with Modaco's Desire ROM loads 'em up right fast. Weird.
It happens fairly often, any ideas?

In retrospect it may have been equalizer app from market. Currently running cm7 with dsp manager, no reboot issues.

Mine doesn't reboot, but Music crashes every time I try to stream over 3g. Works great on wifi. Hope they get the bugs out, because I like the program.

I was having some issues at first. It was either gingerbread or equalizer. Works fine now with cyanogenmod.

I used to have that issue, but it disappeared after a few factory resets (not because of google music, other reasons). It happened only when I started playing music then locked the device, but not every time it rebooted. I did have that music Fx equalizer however.
Because one signature isn't enough.
I hate doing resets, although I'm using Titanium now, so it should be an easy restore. Maybe I'll try that this weekend. Was kind of hoping for a app update that would fix it.

I don't think a factory reset if necessary, just remove the equalizer app if you have it, but if it's not the problem try everything before factory reset even if you have titanium, a single app isn't worth it because if you just restore everything back it's likely the problem will still be there.
Because one signature isn't enough.
Factory resets didn't fix my issue, even tried only downloading that app to make sure it wasn't interference from another one. But somehow I managed to get it to work when I unchecked cache music and wifi only from on to off and vice versa. Now it streams on both wifi and 3g like it's suppose to. Must have been a glitch in there.
G music is a data hog. I'm twenty days into my billing cycle and I've used over seven gigs of data on 3g. That's the only thing I've used differently. Luckily I have unlimited data, truly unlimited according to a Verizon Rep.

Hello All,
I recently upgraded my stock Xoom from HC to JB 4.1 and of course, flash stopped working. I had held off on all updates due to reports of it getting wonky after ICS, but I eventually went ahead when I kept reading of the success of sideloading the latest flash apk and using Dolphin HD or the stock browser.
My problem is, although it does work to a degree, the main reason I need flash is for Amazon prime instant streaming video and many of the network TV sites like abc.com, tnt.com, fox.com and the like. Now when I play video, it works to a degree, but is often too choppy to be watchable. A bigger problem is the audio, although the sound quality is flawless even with choppy video, it is NEVER in synch with the video. The last issue is if I try to watch full screen, the picture blacks out entirely. A minor nidge is that Dolphin keeps disabling flash on its own saying it is no longer supported.
Am I SOL here or is there any help I can hope for?
You can install flash and use the stock browser....flash will work flawlessly. As for the A/V sync issues, not a clue.

it's not flawless if the audio is delayed and it blacks out if you go full screen. Do me the favor and try to watch something on ABC.com on your xoom and report back.Thank you.

Sorry it took so long. Ok i did as you requested. I watched 3 different shows on abc, i had no lag, stutter, echo, choppy-ness, and the audio was in sync.
I would check your flash player settings. Open the Flashplayer app in your app drawer.
• Local Storage: clear data/storage.
• Local Storage: Always Allow, if this setting is currently marked then use "Only From Sites I Visit"
•Peer Assisted Networking: Enabled, if enabled try disabling it and try again.
If any changes made, Force Stop the Flashplayer app and Browser under /settings/app/ and clear cache only on both. Then try watching a show again.
As far as the screen timing out when on full screen; this is a JB issue, as JB technically does not support flash.
I hope this helps.......

Thanks so much for responding. No need to apologize for timing.
Unfortunately, none of these steps have fixed the problem. Strange that it would work on so many stock devices and not mine.
As to the full screen issue, it's not timing out. It just goes all black as soon as you hit the full screen button. The audio keeps playing however. This is true on the stock browser, Dolphin HD, and Firefox.
Thanks for trying. Any other ideas? I'm starting to think My days with my beloved xoom may be coming to a close. I just despise the thought of having to give Apple any $$$.
I have a G Pro 2 D838 and I've been experiencing a persistent audio lag while watching Netflix, with the audio coming about a second late. This would be a deal-breaker for me, since watching Netflix was one of my main reasons for buying a device with a large display. The lag is very noticeable both with headphones (wired) and the phone's speaker.
I've tried clearing the Netflix app's data, as well as uninstalling the app and re-installing. I even did a complete factory reset. Nada. The problem persists no matter what network I'm on -- WiFi or cellular -- and was not observed on any of the other devices running on the same networks.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in South Korea and I own the G pro 2. I have found that I can use the older version of Netflix and avoid the delayed audio sync issue. Download and install the 1.8.1 apk after a google search.
Hi folks, my apologies if this is a known issue but i'm asking as the amount of info is monumental. Have been having a playback issue for a while now but i need to get to the bottom of it and was hoping someone here may shine some light on it. As the title says youtube play back is pretty poor. I have a rooted Tf101 running KatKiss 4.4.4 with the latest youtube version and constantly get stutters freezes and buffering. Thought it might be my Wifi but with my phone (LG G3) i have no such problems. Have tried clearing cache and app data, reinstalling and even older versions but with no luck. I have also tried overclocking with no luck, so am i wasting my time and this will never work properly or is there something i am missing. Again thanks for any help offered.
You need to lower the quality to 480p or use an older version.
Search forum for the latest version that works.
Will try it at a lower res first, thanks. Seems to do the trick but noticed that the 480p setting has gone. It's either 360p which is terrible or 720 which appears to be to much. 480 was good middle ground, (still shows on my G3) which is the same YouTube version. Any ideas on how I can get it back?
Was present a few days ago but now its gone.
Hello,
I have a same problem on Katkiss 5.1 (23).
Any idea ?

Decided to go back to KK because its still faster then Lollipop and after formatting data and system YouTube is working great in 720p.
Pretty odd, no?
