Battery Charging % whilst phone is TURNED OFF and charging - Nexus 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

How can I change the battery icon of my Nexus 5 to show charge % whilst it is turned off and charging?
I wish to turn on the % indicator when the phone is off but plugged in i.e. the big battery symbol in the middle of the screen - not the battery % in the status bar.
I'm tired of seeing a battery icon filling itself up and not knowing what % really has been charged so far.

I wish to add a photo of what exactly I mean, but since I'm new to the forum, I cannot.
If this issue has been tackled before, I'd appreciate redirection. Thanks

What stages does the status bar battery indicator show?

I unplugged my Captivate around 7:00 AM when I left for work, used it on wifi during the day, wifi at home, etc. When I was getting ready for bed I noticed that my battery indicator still appeared to look like I had 2/3 life left. I was stunned, a day of use and I still have 2/3? No way. I installed a battery widget and guess what: 39% battery. Under half yet the indicator in the top-right still showed ~2/3?
So I am curious, is the indicator at the top only a 3rd based indicator? (something like: 3/3 100%, 2/3 from 30-70%, 1/3 from 0-30%? Or does the indicator at the top display more precision than that? I just don't get why the indicator showed well over 50% when I was actually 11% under 50%.
I read that its very inaccurate, so i'm not sure exactly what values it is set to display. I would use that battery widget for a better gauge
I dont think its that accurate either. I used mine a lot yesterday and it showed like 3/4 or 5/6 of the battery still left, then I looked in settings and saw it was around 50%.
The battery icon in the upper right corner is basically worthless. I've posted several times somebody should write a small app that gets rid of the icon with just a number there that tells the percentage. Newer iphones have this option, either a battery icon or the actual percentage.

I would much prefer that. I'm not even asking for exact precision, but the indicator is just way too far off and I don't get why that is the case. The indicator should read current battery levels and display the proper image, simple as that.
I can confirm that my indicator is way off as well.
I just downloaded battery indicator which puts another battery icon with percentage on the left side of the taskbar. Just gotta deal with having two battery icons for now.

Yes, I saw that there are several of those apps in the marketplace. I was hoping to avoid having to have two battery gauges. Maybe nobody cares, but with a rooted phone it shouldnt be too hard to create a new battery gauge icon (of course I'm no programmer so what do i know)
I think the battery icon is only showing 4 or 5 stages of battery life, and it's very underhanded because it shows more than what it actually has.
a full battery is > 75%
slight sliver is 74% - 50%
orange is 49% - 25%
red is < 25%
I would love to have the icon replaced with something more accurate.

Interesting battery meter finding

Following this post about charging the battery while the phone is off, I decided to try it.
With the phone off, I plugged in the USB charger, and watched the screen to see if there was any notification that the battery was charging. Sure enough, a battery icon appeared with 5 scrolling dots below. The battery looked to be slightly above 75%. I turned the phone back on and noticed my battery meter in the upper right showed 100%, yet my percentage meter from the Batter Indicator app showed 81%.
Anyway, I guess what I'm trying to say is that: If you want an accurate bar display of your charge, you can also check the phone while it's off and charging.
Ok, maybe not that interesting after all. I bet someone has already found this and incorporated it into an app. I'm too lazy to look though.
Or you can just go into Settings > About Phone > Status.
Other than that, we need to use widgets until we can get rid of that wretched battery indicator.
True, that too. I'm thinking the original battery indicator in the upper right corner has to be at least 20 pixels wide, right? Why not make it drop a line for every 5% instead of rounding to the nearest 25%. What a pain.

Tablet battery not charging to 100%

I have a TF300 with the keyboard dock and it probably spends most of it's time with the keyboard.
Now when I charge the battery it will only charge to 70% and refuses to go any higher (even the lightning bolt on the battery disappears)
The light on top of the tablet stays orange and never turns green.
I've tried to full drain the battery twice now but no luck. I've also been keeping it apart from the keyboard dock to stop it from trying to charge.
I've attached a screenshot of my battery graph to show you. I have rebooted my device several times but this doesn't show on the graph.

How to show Battery Charging % whilst phone is turned off and charging?

How can I change the battery icon of my Nexus 5 to show charge % whilst it is turned off and charging?
PS: not how to show battery icon % when it is on.
I'm tired of seeing a battery icon filling itself up and not knowing what % really has been charged so far.

That turned on the % in the status bar - I wish to turn on the % indicator when the phone is off but plugged in; the big battery symbol in the middle of the screen.
I wish for that big battery symbol to show the % charged

[ask] how to calibrate battery xiaomi redmi 4x

So, I have a problem with my Xiaomi Redmi 4X handphone. The problem is about batteries.
So, last week I bought a new battery and then I put it on and when my cellphone turned on the battery indicator showed 50%. Then I charge my cellphone, the battery indicator information in the status bar just stuck at 92% then I waited for half an hour, the battery indicator remained at 92%. I am confused. The battery indicator won't go up to 100%. This happened until now when I was charging.
Then, after half an hour there was no change in the indicator (92%), I unplugged the charger cable and I plug it in again. Do you know what happened? the battery indicator rises to 100% in less than 10 seconds. Very fast. Only that way to make the battery indicator rise to 100%.
After 100%, I pulled out the charger and used my cellphone to view social media (Instagram, Twitter, etc). Within 15 minutes, the battery indicator decreases very quickly. (15 minutes usage = 80%). Then after reaching 80%, it becomes normal and the battery lasts longer.
Is there a way to solve that problem? thanks.
