Notifications in Nougat - Honor 8 Questions & Answers

Hi. There were two main gripes in EMUI 4.1 that ended in selling mine P9. Now I'm wondering about getting Honor 8, but I need two answers from people that are testing Nougat for H8:
1. Did the notification icons become interactive like in stock android? For example, app like Google Now in stock android will display appropriate icon in connection to the notification, it can be a cloud for a weather notification, but it will look different for traffic notification. The P9 just displayed plain G icon in notifications bar. Another example could be Hydro Coach - in nearly every other smartphone it would display icon with actual water consumption in notifications bar, but in P9 it again displayed just plain app icon. How does it work in Nougat Beta for H8?
2. Can you expand notifications bar on lockscreen? Can you expand individual notifications on lockscreen in Nougat?
Thanks! Overall the H8 looks awesome, but I need this features from stock android to fully work. Other than that I don't mind EMUI looking very different, in some cases it has some neat additions.

I would like Stock Nougat Notificiation icons over the EMUI ones. Please help!

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say EMUI 5.0's notification icons are a bit...ehhh. They're not really eye-catching, very small, and overall the design doesn't sit with me. I knew I was settling for this when I bought an EMUI phone but there must be a workaround. I have tried the SimplyN theme but the icons aren't what I want. To see my images, please type https:// before the links I wrote. I can't post image links because I'm new.
From my research most Nougat "themes" change app icons but NOT the notification icons, or if they do, it's not the change I want. These are the pure Nougat icons I would like on the top of the image: icdn3.digitaltrends.com/image/13570029_10153505105445356_1443343581_o-1080x1920.jpg?ver=1 That is in comparison to the EMUI icons that I don't want, again on the top of the image: cdn57.androidauthority.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Huawei-Mate-9-EMUI-5-home-screen-app-drawer.jpg
Please tell me there a way to get them in place of the EMUI icons. I love my Mate but I can't bear to look at these notification icons any longer. I would also prefer something through the themes feature, and not an overlay like the "Styles" app does.
Thank you, and hopefully this benefits all EMUI users that would like the superior Nougat icons too. That material design is just too good.

[Question] Is it possible to modify the status/notification bar to be double height

I find the notch notification area unsatisfactory and kinda wanna restore a classic android feeling, I couldn't find any android theme or framework settings that gives me 2 rows of notifications. See my mockup for the idea, but basically I'd like to have a way to enable a second row of notifications that show icons you'd normally see in the horizontal view.
Any suggestions on how to accomplish this?

Blur background on notification pulldown

Running beta 11 and I hate the blur background when pulling the notifications down. If I remember you could use good lock on android 10 with Quickstar and even with that updated to work on 11 that function is no longer there. Didn't see anything in themes or in #hex. Thanks
Try Hex Installer. As of Android 10, it allows you to set the transparency of the notification shade.
Edit: There is an option to mask notification shade in #Hex. Not sure if it works, but may be worth a try.

Well finally can fix with the new theme park update. Although that and good lock update look like a clown designed them..

Edge Lighting styles missing after update to android 11 oneui 3.0

Before updating to Android 11, I saw more styles in the notifications and edge lighting settings
But now there are only a few simple styles and it only runs on the pop-up message and does not show the side edges do not show any effect.
The Edge Lighting+ (NiceLock) program does not run either
Is there a way to increase the styles?

it's not supported by android. 11
so can we create a app that will work on 11 to do what we want. just because they stop or screw up the original app or feature that doesn't mean that we can't figure another way to do it.
Yes edgelighting+ was successfully runs in android 10 but after upgrading to android 11 with one ui 3.0 it is not working anymore ! So is there any way to get that feature? Also any app ?
can we edit edgelighting+ and add support android 12? it seems that samsung moved this styles for flagships and removed from phones like A51.
or even is it possible to port edgelighting from S21 to A51? Because the flagships have more styles And before Android 11 we had these styles. So styles are definitely supported, it's just how to add them !
