Bluetooth Stylus Support? - Nexus 6P Accessories

I was wondering if anyone knew if any Bluetooth styli worked with the Nexus 6P--I read Android Marshmallow and up have native support for Bluetooth styli. Are there any with pressure sensitivity? Would they work in any app (though I know not with pressure sensitivity...)?
It's not super important, but I'd like to know. Thanks!

Hi, don't know about Bluetooth stylii but would be interested. I have a collection from unknown brands like touch pen, ztoss fake and some branded.

Love them all but aurorakim is my favourite now. It has a cool blue light when turned on and looks great in the dark.

Can we increase IR output for TV remote on Magician?

Hi all,
I just thought I would ask. One thing that keeps me from thinking this little beauty is the best damn PDA ever is that its IR is to weak to be a remote control. Is there anyway that the IR can be "turned up" via a reg hack or is it the IR hardware. Any one have any ideas? Also, does any one know that if I cut out the heavy dark plastic piece covering the IR and replaced it with a clear piece would it make the IR stronger?
Thanks in advance for any input.
Todd
Don't think that stuff would work. It's the hardware that's the problem.
Some guy did a "hardware hack", basically sticking a small lense over the IR, which extended the range. Damn ugly though!
I just buy a £8 multiremote

hi, actually it works for me, i am using Griffin Total Remote
just that the distance is not as greeat as IPAQ PPC that has a consumer IR

Best BlueTooth Car Unit

Now that the Nexus One Car Dock is out and it is confirmed that it does indeed support BT pairing, how about some recomendations on some good compatable car stereos to go with it?
In my case, I would like a Double-Din unit. If I want BT, and Satelite, most dealers are trying to sell me a base unit with each feature as an add-on. That would make working with these systems awkward as they are not fully integrated into the unit. Is there such a thing as a unit that does all of this:
Double-Din
BlueTooth
Satelite Radio
HD Radio
Ability to control the music playback on the Nexus

Satellite and HD radio are generally going to require add ons, but Bluetooth is often an integrated solution.
My head unit review is here
How on earth are we going to decide what's best? I like mine, but I am quite sure it's not the absolute best.
Alpine FTW!
I always use Alpine headunits. I believe this one will work meet all of your requirements. You may have to purchase an additional bluetooth control unit, but that is pretty much the norm. This one also is compatible with Alpine's imprint technology which is AWESOME! If you don't know you should check it out.

Has this been tested with the Nexus One, which is pretty picky about what Bluetooth Devices it will pair and work with? A positive report would be really cool.
Ok, instead of 'best' how about most reasonable? This setup is over a grand! If there isn't a unit with these features integraged, I will prefer to go with a bluetooth device first and add the rest later (on a side note, couldn't these extra units interface thru bluetooth as well?)
A feature that I see advertised a lot is an 'iPod adapter' that allows the head unit to control an iPhone and display track information as well. Would a bluetooth connection to the nexus provide this feature?

You are right, this setup is expensive, but it is a very nice setup. I personally don't have it, but I do have experiance using high end alpine products. I did read that when paired with bluetooth, the album information will be displayed. I don't know if that includes streaming Pandora or not though.
I didn't think it would be crazy for someone who spent $530 on a phone to get the best phone out would mind spending the money on a high end radio. If you want to make it cheaper I would suggest getting a single DIN radio, they are substantially cheaper and you can get the same features, plus a storage area above or below in the existing space.
I'm in the same boat as the OP. Tracking....

I personally despise that Pioneer unit. I bought it originally from Amazon but ended up hating almost everything about it. It beeps every time you do ANYTHING, it is bright blue like a comet even at night and lights up the whole cab, the menus are a mess to use, and the iPod support seizes control of the iPod while the head unit iPod controls aren't even very good at all.
I sent it back and bought a JVC double DIN http://www.amazon.com/JVC-KW-XG700-Double-Receiver-Expandable/dp/B000R3G86K . It has no iPod support or bluetooth though (even though I still consider it to be superior just on a usability basis). There is no bluetooth in it though, so now I am looking at buying a $100 bluetooth adapter for it. I see that JVC is going to release a new model any day though, the XR810. http://www.crutchfield.com/p_105KWXR810/JVC-KW-XR810.html?tp=5684&avf=N At first I was afraid because it too has blue backlights, but it turns out that all of the lighting is completely customizable. This thing seems to do everything the way I want it to such that I'm thinking of upgrading even though my receiver works fine. Since it has bluetooth built in, its only $200 more than just buying a bluetooth adapter.
That said, if you're looking at buying aftermarket and you dont care about what it sounds like or amplifiers or custom speakers, there are probably cheaper units that still offer bluetooth connectivity.
The more people that check this out and add the better

so far we have 4 headunits that work pretty well, if you find another one please place it into the list

You're right about bright blue. There are two way to deal with that - either turn the display off or wire it to the dimmable dash lights with an inline resistor to drop the voltage a bit more. The dash lights go right to most harnesses, so it's not a big deal. But if it gets 12v straight from the vehicle, it's going to be bright when it's on. I haven't had any issues with with mp3 playback with the N1 since the first day. I can use N1 playback, or I can use head unit controls, or I can use my factory steering wheel controls, which are by far easiest. Beeps? I don't care. They're soft and they don't bother me.
That is another reason I bought the uint I did, full customizable color scheme and (standard) dimming features when hooked up correctly.
its a pain because my vehichle VW GTI has the CAN system to power on the unit vs a standard 12v on source.
what are your best guesses for the video playback bypass for ebrake on a GTI?

If hooked up correctly, they all have dimming. However, the lights on these are generally far more efficient than the dash lights, which means by the time the dash lights are visible, the head unit lights are too bright. I plan to fix that with a resistor in line with power coming from the dimmer. It's a simple fix. The head unit does have a dimming adjustment, It just doesn't go nearly far enough.
Not sure why video bypass is required on the DVD players, but I have read that a lot of people do it. What is the situation that requires a bypass?
Wish I hadn't posted here. It was a double.

so when your driving your surrounding peeps can watch music videos, dvd's, and or home made movie clips (no erotic pun intended ) if you don't do it no video will play while the car is in motion.

So there is a circuit the emergency brake is supposed to close that indicates it's safe to play video? Seems like that would be easy enough to circumvent right at the head unit. Easier than connecting the head unit to the emergency brake.

Headset remote problem

Am I the only one who's noticed that the headset controls don't work for pausing/playing or really doing anything with music at all? No matter what headset I try, the remote control just jumps straight to the recent calls list and attempts to call the last person I dialed..what gives? Is this unique to me or is anyone else experiencing this? Does anyone know of an in-ear canal headset that has working music remote controls?
try using a different music player from market such as cubed ^3 or mixzing, then go into the setting for that music player and make sure use headphone controls is activated
I just tried both of those music apps, and while I HAVE to thank you for showing me mixzing (nice improvement over the stock android app), the headset controls STILL do the same thing! I unchecked and rechecked the settings and no matter what, the phone always defaults to opening the recent calls list instead of pausing/playing/skipping..
Is there anyone else out there having this issue with their Epic? Perhaps I got a defective unit?
glad u liked mixzing, cubed in my opinion is even sicker. I get my epic tomorrow so ill check and let u know how it goes
Thanks for your help Ravizzle - I'm anxiously awaiting your results! I tried cubed, but I found the cube interface a little too flashy and unintuitive - I did only give it a single glance over and headset check, so perhaps I need to give it a bit more time next time
Got my epic today, sadly it didnt work for me either with the included wired headset. My stereo bluetooth is charging so ill try that out and see, but so far its disappointing that headphone controls dont work, perhaps the email the devs for mixzing and cubed and maybe they need to add support for epic still cuz its new.
Well I guess it's good news mine's not defective..but still pretty freking annoying. I'm surprised I don't hear many people complaining about this..I've tried a bluetooth headset and the controls do appear to work, but I hate the look of wearing a BT headset - I feel sort of..well I wont go in to that. Regardless, I realize there are devices like the the Jabra Clipper which would make me feel slightly less..you know. Anyone have any preferences on devices like these?
I use the Motorola Rokkers Bluetooth. They don't look silly cause it's on both ears unlike those Jawbreaker things. They look very sporty and I use them for walking and bicycle riding. The sound is HD and the controls all work. I am using 3 cube music.
I noticed that I can't answer a call (unlike my Evo and Moment) when using with the Epic. That sucks, but all the music controls work fine and the sound is incredible. My Rokkers are a year or so old - maybe I'll try the newer ones to see if I get the phone controls back.

I too am surprised at the lack of post about the BT problems. I have no handsfree control on the epic. For one that paid full retail for the phone I pretty POed about it. (Plus no spell checker in email, can't download attachments via exchange) I smell a 30day return coming if things don't improve.
I use the lg hbs 200 bluetooth stereo headset and i like them a lot. They are lightweight and they fold up nicely. U can get em off amazon. heres the amazon link http://www.amazon.com/LG-SGBS0001606-Bluetooth-Headset-HBS-200/dp/B001KHVRJU
Well, I just ended up getting a Jabra Clipper. Amazon and Verizon stores both sell them, and it serves my needs well. You can use the headphones of your choice (though it comes with an OK pair), and all remote functions work. I like it so far (especially since I don't look like a tool with a big flashing blue light around my neck).
Highly suggested!

I bought this, too; I had the older dogtag mini-usb model, but the audio out had broken... Verizon has it with free overnight shipping for ~$5 cheaper than Amazon right now.
I ran into a problem, though -- I couldn't get it working with my music player. No play/pause, no next/prev. Someone else suggested TuneWiki, so I installed that and it actually works great, but it's something to be aware of if you're considering this.
(Also, in place of dedicated next and prev buttons, you have to hold the vol-up and vol-down for a second or so, but but it works pretty okay. I wish the volume buttons on the phone worked like that, too. )
For those of you wondering why- It's because samsung puts there polarity in different order than most companies do. When people make headphones they generally make them to the polarity of apple's.
This is also why bluetooth ones work fine, and wired don't.
Do you guys hear buzzing when you use headphones with a mic?

[Q] Anyone know a good bluetooth mouse keyboard combo

I'm looking for a bluetooth keyboard combination that has the mouse functionality built in however I can't find a good one... I tried the Rii ones but they're such poor build quality that the batteries either randomly swell up or the trackpads don't work...
The only one that looks like kinda of what i want is the "Donya DN-YKB-50K" which I can only find on one website in Japan and i'd have to use a mail forwarding service... it looks ridiculously slim and comes with an amazing looking optical mouse... however the batteries aren't built in (so can't just randomly charge it with a usb cable when out and about) and it has difficult shipping... and it looks a bit plasticy...
Does anyone know of anything similar or just take a punt on it??

Has anyone found Google Cardboard or a similar accessory that will fit this phone?

Tell me your recommendations and whether it works with a case!
The google cardboard fits as well as all the really basic VR viewers you can buy, my recommendation are the ones that look like this: (ignore the brand name)
https://www.casecrown.com/magento/m...3525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/v/i/vir-v2-wht-00.jpg
They're the most comfortable, durable and easy to use of all the VR headsets in the budget category.
Yeah... I have a similar model but from another company (shinecon). It works pretty well with the phone, adjusting the focus point is quite easy. However, the hole for the nose is very uncomfortable for me, I would prefer to have bought the one with a triangular hole for the nose instead of the rounded one (most of them have a rounded hole).
As I've said in a flip case topic, to explain that our RN2 has a magnetic sensor, I've made it working with my virtual headset, the Color Cross 2.
It's a cheap product, less than 20€ on AliExpress. I think we can find it on eBay.
I've chosen this one because it's the only "open case" one I've found, which is essential to my eyes, to prevent overheating during games...
And we can set the difference between the eyes, to be played by childs as adults. I have glasses, and I can play without. I think v1 don't have the magnetic sensor, but v2 has it (and it works with the RN2) ; anyway, I prefer playing with my cheap bluetooth mini gamepad.
You'll see it (or v1) on Google Video.
(Sorry for my bad english speaking, I'm FR)
I've got a no name vr headset. was around 10 eur. works perfect but it does not have magnetic commands. that does not bother me. it only has to fit 5.5 inch screen
I got one from ebay for a few dollars, works great for me. Using this along with the cardboard.
