what is the differens between 6gb and 4bb version i performance . any banchmark?
There is no difference between this two in performance, maybe if you are a hard multitasker.
2 GB's!
just extra ram for better multitasking i hope and it comes with 128gb to instead of 64gb as default
2GB ram which should help it perform better.
I recently had oneplus 3t which i noticed was extremely fast and smooth, pleasantly surprised. So i would say you will notice the difference only if you put both 4gb and 6gb side by side and perform tests. In real life use you won't notice much difference tbh.
Probably only notice it without huawei battery optimization stuff enabled. My 4gb model always have 2ish gbs of ram left but I close 90% of stuff most of the time.
If any has side to side. Comparetion link as youtube it will be nice.

The speed of the OnePlus 3 is not because it has more RAM than other devices... They have done some tweaks on the software ( aggressive kernel, animations, better file system than the average) and optimizations.

Hello. Just here to share my review of the LG G Flex 2. You all care read it Mod Edit.
So for those who are still on the fence on whether to buy a G Flex 2 (I know it's available on eBay for the cheap), hope that this helps.
Nice review, thanks Idiocity
There are some stupid low prices for the G Flex 2 in the UK today. (As low as £176.) The only thing that's stopping me pulling the trigger is the 2GB Ram. How many chrome tabs are you able to have open, (on large pages,) without the tabs having to refresh?
Totally agree on what you say regarding the camera in low light. My G2 makes a better job. :crying:

Never really tested it. However the RAM can be quite a constrain sometimes. But then again this phone is a steal for its specifications, so can't complain to be honest.

I only ask about the RAM issue as I also have the choice of getting the H950 for roughly the same money. The downside of that being that I only visit the US twice a year so getting the updates is tricky.
If only they had put 3GB Ram in the 32GB version this end. :crying:

Thanks for the info. :highfive:
H950 it will be.
i had the 950 with 15aPR rom on it and it was a lot faster and more responsive than the 955 i have now .
the only thing is that the 955 with 15c software does not heat up and the battery life is much better .
i did not even have to put in a copper shim this time .

i sent my lg flex 2 back to currys and pc world for a full refund as i was getting really bad overheating problems unless i was rooted so i can eaither rebuy a flex 2 and hope that this one wont overheat as someone else did that on this forum and it didnt overheat or i could just get my refund and buy a whole new phone altogether, i am think the oneplus X but if there are any better phones then that could you please leave it in the comment down below as i dont know what to chose from
(Budget is 220)
Check out Xiaomi Mi4c, u can get 3/32GB version for about $220.
It's Snapdragon 808 so performance very close to Flex 2 and it doesn't overheat.
No SD slot but 3GB RAM and 32GB storage is plenty imo.
I had mi4c and kinda regret i sold it and got Flex 2...
Oneplus X is much slower but has very nice build quality, also plenty of development on xda (custom roms).
Flex 2 will overheat no matter what because it's older Snapdragon 810 revision.
got my missus a redmi note 3 pro, which has the SD650 chipset and is very fast, @80,000 for antutu. It seems very good so far and has really good battery life, 10-11 hours screen on time here, and is very cheap. Only thing I've had to do to it is turn off memory optimisation in developer settings because it was killing apps in the background at an insane rate, making downloads fail, home screen redraws etc.. the other thing is it might not support 4g on certain networks, you'll have to check
best bit is if you drop it, you don't care

General Tips for Buying Used Phones.
Don't have any tips on a specific replacement phone, but when shopping in general Swappa is a good place to find cheap phones (and is the official marketplace for XDA.) This is where I'd look first thanks to the support and generally good community.
I actually picked my G Flex 2 off of a Craigslist ad for $130 USD and saw several other 2015 phones under $200 in my area; excellent prices can be had but no buyer protection this way. If you take this route, make sure to get pics of any damage if not listed, ask if anything is wrong/everything works, and recheck everything in person before the purchase. Request phone to be charged so you can use the phone hands-on and make sure the OS is functional; check the software version in system settings and look for signs of root apps (mine was rooted by the previous person so I immediately reflashed stock ROM and rooted myself once home, just to be sure nothing nasty like spyware or a device recovery app was left behind on there.) Bring small accessories too that you want to make sure will work like USB cord with charger, headphones, NFC tag, etc. Most importantly, arrange to make the phone purchase at the phone's carrier store. I scheduled the purchase to be at a Sprint store for my LS996 so I could verify with them if the ESN was blacklisted or clean, or if there was anybody else who had the phone on their account (active or inactive.) I could've asked for the MSL code and official Unlock to GSM Domestic once confirmed clean by Sprint but I've made the phone work on AT&T GoPhone LTE without it using the guide here.
Regardless of you go through, make sure to take all reasonable precautions to make sure the phone works and will suit you. Pay attention to the seller's attitude too: typically honest sellers will accommodate most requests and dishonest ones may question you or refuse your requests. You may also get a dishonest seller that is eager to rush the sale if they sense you aren't catching something wrong with the purchase - honest sellers will generally be patient if you show genuine interest in buying.
You made a mistake to give it back .for the price flex 2 is the best out there. As for oneplus x it has the 801 snapdragon that means an older processor like the original oneplus.
And one advice from a fellow "performance freak" . dont rely on benchmarks only they are a useful tool to check performance but everyday use is a better factor. For example:
One of the fastest phones out there is samsung s7 exynos version.
But it has a slower gpu than the snapdragon820 version.
In Geekbench for example the exynos version gets far better scores. In every day use the single core performance matters at most. Multicore is for gaming mostly.
In antutu the snapdragon version gets better scores because of the better gpu.

Mi4c is better.
The screen is terrible on the g flex 2. But it has a far better camera then the OnePlus x.
Also i'd pick Snapdragon 801 over 810 anyday. The battery drain is ridiculous with the 810.

I preordered the phone from the UK store. Just wondering where all the reviews are at? Is it because none of the U.S. outlets received review models or is there an embargo? All the reviews are from people who imported the phone. I know that some outlets like android central went to events and said they were going to review it.... so does anyone know?
I think its HTC strategy with this phone, their marketing budget for it must be about £5! All I've seen is things on their social media and website, nothing anywhere else. I.E they aren't giving it out in the UK/europe for free for people to review, hence English reviews will only really come about when people who have paid for the phone get it.
Very strange, maybe it some deal they had with google considering its competing with the pixel 2 xl and this pretty much was going to be that phone?

That's a great question.
Yes in theory it should be possible. Especially since HTC actively advertises this feature in the U11+ specifications page on their website. If you scroll all the way down you will see a "DisplayPort" feature in the list. That's the technology behind the magic. The so called Displayport alt mode.
I wish one of the reviewers would finally hook up their U11 or U11+ directly to their TV using a simple USB-C to HDMI cable. There's exactly 2 videos demonstrating this feature on YouTube but they're using the older U10.
None of the U11 or U11+ reviewers demonstrated this awesome feature so far. What a shame. They didn't do their homework.
Give me a U11 or a U11+ and I will do a proper review.
Bunch of amateur reviewers!

Most reviewers are from the US so don't expect many besides the ones that are available already. So people like MKBHD, MrMobile etc probably won't review it cuz they usually get review units. Maybe J Williams and Flossy might if they import it.

Yeah the battery life is the main reason I opted for this phone, along with the LCD HDR display and good camera. It just doesn't seem to have any compromises outside of the headphone jack.
If you have the phone id love to see some screen on time screenshots.

That's great. I didn't know Huawei Mate 10 had DisplayPort functionality. All modern smartphones should have it out of the box if you ask me.
If anything you would want the Huawei Mate 10 Pro . The other mates only have 4 GB RAM. You want it to compete with the U11+ right.
But then again the Mate 10 Pro has AMOLED screen and no sdcard slot which is a big turnoff. The Mate 10 have LCD and sdcard slot but only 4 GB RAM...
You know what. Just save yourself lots of trouble and get the U11+ which has 6 GB RAM & sdcard slot & LCD display.

If it helps, I returned my pixel 2 XL, due to screen issues and random reboots.
Then I purchased a Huawei mate 10 Pro, and have used it for the last two days. It's a great phone(screen is fantastic) but it's the little things that are bothering me with it, so I will be returning it tomorrow ( no double tap to wake, Bluetooth playback is quiet, speakers aren't great, finger print is slow at responding, always on display doesn't show notifications and keeps freezing on wrong time)
I will be purchasing the HTC u11+ and I think it's going to be spot on, but we'll see ?
Might seem fussy but if I'm paying big money, it has to be right ?

Doubt it. If you have noticed, all of the OnePlus special/limited editions have been a one and done.
Also, they are selling a 12gb model, so at best you get more storage. Can't see em doing a 16gb model.

I can't see it. Makes no sense. They know 12GB is overkill as of now... What are they going to offer 16GB/512gb? I don't see it. What's with the Pro?
1) There will always be a "more powerful version", until we reach the limits on SoC gate technology.
2) What do you find lacking in the performance for the OP7P that you feel you need to wait? Really? I have my OP7P declocked to get significantly better battery life, and the declocked OP7P still would crush most other phones on the market.
I just hope they don't launch a limited edition red model, I'll be pissed! That's the only thing they could do right now that would bum me out, and that's aesthetic, not even performance.

An 855+ with a 5g US compatible radio is all I have heard is coming. For anything better, the OnePlus 8 next year will be the only worth while upgrade.
I'm with the op. Im waiting for a special edition. Every phone gets a spec edition. I'm sure it'll come out in September after the current back to school promotions end.
Looks like a world wide second 5G model this year...
So as much as I like being back on Apple as it just makes my life that much simpler (only need one phone for work and home, everything just works, etc.), my curiosity and need to be on the "newest" shiny thing to come out over powered my reason...
With that, I did it... Hopped on liaow.com and pre-order the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra (He calls it the "Extreme Edition", its soooo extreme!!!!)
So I guess the question becomes, is anyone else getting this beast?
I preordered the 256GB 12GB version since I don't want go outrageous and didn't want to go into the +$1200 USD range... now I'll just wait for delivery hopefully in 2 weeks...!!! :good:

I just want a smart charging pad!!!
I am thinking to get one. Waiting for two information:
- JerryRigsEverything tests
- some devs to make custom rom that is closer to stock Android (the MIUI 12 is impressive tho)
Have any of you guys ordered any Xiaomi phones before to the USA after the ban happened? I'm afraid that the phone might get confiscated at the post office or something. I have the impression that the postal services are very anal about stuff coming from China these days and they have opened everything I order on AliExpress or wish. Anyone has any feedback on this matter?
Thanks ?
I Want one but really concerned that China only = no custom ROMs
Mine is on the way
Mine is also..

16 gb ram
512 rom
Also ordered 8gb 128gb variant, the 10 pro performed brilliantly with 8gb so can’t see why this would need any more.

Wonder if there is a global version in the future, just looked at the price at giztop, about $100 more than the price in china.

Which custom ROM do you want to have?
Usually the most important one we need is xiaomi.eu rom which will be released according to their forum.

I'm using RevolutionOS on my Mi 9 but a Xiaomi.EU ROM would be fine with me. I want to root it
Where did you you order it from?
Looking to import to UK
Thx

Liaow. They're being really nice, the dude emailed me a few times to let me know things, to check I know what I'm doing, to see if I want it set to English, and he sent me a photo of the package with my address on
No band 20 / 800mhz for 4g in the UK though. So be careful what network you are on.. EE seem to support the most 4G bands (there's like, 2 bands for short and medium range in towns and cities, whereas the missing band 20 is the low frequency for the most coverage)
I also ordered one. However I am worried that some apps which I often use wont work:
UBS banking
Interactive brokers (stocks)
These apps probably rely on SafetyNet Check and will not work on the device as it has a Chinese ROM. Do you guys have any solution so that also secured banking apps will work?
Got mine Saturday... bought from liaow... 256GB 12GB Transparent... Breath Taking... Gets 5G with T-Mobile... I've also forced VoLTE Check & VoWiFi. Other than that.... China Rom of MIUI 12 is not too bad. "OK Google" works and with the installation of a 3rd party launcher (NovaLauncher) I got Google Discover as my leftmost screen. This thing is buttery smooth @ 120 refresh rate... haven't tried the fast charging as I don't want to ruin the accessories (don't know how long I'll keep this phone). Haven't field tested camera but I'm going on a short trip over Labor Day and plan to give it a run through. Battery life seems very decent.

Happy to hear all that, mine is due Thursday. Same exact model and supplier. Sounds exactly like what I want
