[Completed] Help!! :( Problem on Xperia Z3!!? D6603 Marshmallow 6.0.1 - XDA Assist

2 days ago I tried to root my phone to get rid of some bloatware . I unlocked the bootloader through sonys offcial method, rooted using twrp , everything fine at this point, until I begin to install all my apps again and found out that Snapchat hates rooted phones couldnt login to snapchat. Fixed it by unrooting it through supersu, logging into snapchat, then reroot again. Afterwards I noticed I couldnt send any snaps but I could see posts and receive snaps. At this point I thought Snapchat servers were having issues, but the problem persisted longer than what I expected. So I decided to test my snapchat account on another phone (non-rooted) and it did work. It turns out that the actual problem was my phone and not snapchat. I unrooted my phone (again), logged into snapchat and it didnt work either.
Did a factory reset and the problem persisted. Luckily, it turns out that my sd card was causing the problem, snapchat wont work on my phone (rooted or non rooted) unless my sdcard is not inserted. Checked my sd card on my laptop for bad sectors, corrupted data, malware, blah blah, etc., my sd card is fine and works fine in other phones and in my laptop. The problem fixes as soon as I eject the sd card through settings menu, not even a reboot is required. Why is this happening? My phone is currently unrooted and I guess Im running the original rom or whatever since I havent loaded any custom roms, although when I tried to factory reset my phone I could see the blue twrp screen I saw when I rooted my phone for the first time. Is there anyway to fix this and keep my root access or at least fix it since all that crapware is gone?

Hello,
Snapchat is known to play not well with rooted/modified devices.
Please try flashing stock firmware fresh.

Problems after getting back to stock ROM from CM7

Hi,
I'va had CM7 a10 flashed on my Sensation for a few days. A couple of days ago I've decided to get back to Stock ROM, and then the problems started. Before installing CM7 everything was fine. After restoring my backup from before flashing CM7 weird things started to happen (apps dissapearing, settings changing on their own, hangs, and other stuff). So I've done a SuperWipe a few times, and flashed a completely new Stock ROM via USB using: RUU_Pyramid_HTC_Europe_1.50.401.1_Radio_10.56.9035.00U_10.14.9035.01_M_release_223042_signed file. Then I've done a few factory resets, just in case. But still weird things are happening (eg. now I have a clean phone - once again - and trying to setup the sync options and the options app hangs everytime. and installing something from market is like praying for a miracle). I've tried doing factory reset, clear cache/dalvik (but with dalvik CWM recovery says that the partition or files wasn't found). Don't know what to do. Does anyone have any ideas ?? Please help. Phone worked fine before, and after CM7 everything is f*cked up
Wierd, looks like you've tried everything I could think of while reading the post.
Do you still have a nandroid backup of CM7, if so does that work if you restore ?
Can you use ADB to get to the phone ? If so you could check some things from there.
When you installed the RUU from the PC, did it install without errors ? Presumably you had to re-install CWM after that.
CM7 nand backup works fine after restore.
I can use ADB to comunicate with the phone.
No errors while updating RUU.exe / CWM recovery flashed without problems also after that.
I think that there's something screwed up with the file permissions.
I've downloaded and installed about 20 apps since the last HR, and now I have about 40 apps more queued in Market, and as before the downloads are stuck every 1-2 apps. Then I have to restart to CWM recovery and run fix permissions. After that another 1-2 apps will download and get stuck again, and so on...
Anyone has any ideas what the hell is going on ? Because my I'm getting more then irritated by this, and beggining to think that the best solution will be to send my phone flying through the window.
A few questions first.
What country are you in?
Who is your carrier?
What version did your phone originally come with? I believe 1.5xxxxx RUU was released recently, but I could be wrong.
Did you ever change your CID?
Have you ever flashed a new radio and RIL?
Did you copy all of the data from your SD card to your computer, then format your SD card using the phone?
Answer these questions and try the SD card thing, then report back. I may be able to help.
Poland.
T-Mobile (Sensation) / Play Mobile (Gio)
Don't remeber what version my Sensation originally came with - I have a 1.50.401.1 RUU that I'm flashing with currently.
Yes, I've changed CID to 11111111 some time ago, but I'm back to original HTC__001 now.
No I haven't changed my radio or RIL.
I've tried formatting the SD card using the phone, my laptop, my linux NAS, my other phones.
The weird thing is that yesterday all of this was progressing. It came to a point that after a factory reset or even a whole ROM reflash nothing would install (not even Market update). And this also started to happen on my Samsung Gio. So after very very very frustrating evening, and part of the night I gave up. And in the morning it was still the same (on both my android phones). But now things are starting to work (updates/installs). So I think I'm going to blame the whole thing on Google and Market. I'll see what happens while I'll install all my apps in the next few hours.
Still have to restart the phone every 1-3 apps installed. This is driving me crazy

Infuse wont download apps

Hello all,
I just wanted to make a post and a fix that at least worked for me in case anyone else out there has had a similar issue. My issue was on my Samsung Infuse so I am not saying this will work for other phones as I have only encountered it with my Infuse.
First of all I am a flashaholic and am always Odin back to Factory just to Root and Flash another different ROM. Well I noticed maybe a month ago that once I would Odin back to Factory and after I would do a factory data reset. ( And yes I tried not doing the factory data reset as well had no effect. The reason I do that after Odin is because if not I get the Google Talk Auth error.) So after all that once I would go to the Market and start redownloading my apps I would notice that the first couple apps would install and then after that they would just hang there?? I would restart my phone and then a few more would install then once again it would hang up. This was very Very FRUSTRATING. I looked through the forums and couldnt find anything that talked about this issue with this phone. Last night I took out my 32GB sd card in my phone once I Odin and factory data reset again but this time I didnt put my sd card back in after. I have now downloaded all 133 apps that I had before with NO ISSUES!! This whole time the issue was with the SD card for some reason? I have no idea why or how but I dont care. The SD card is fine by the way I have it back in my phone now but if I ever need to install 20 or more apps I will know how I have to do it.
If anyone is having this same issue I hope you read this and this can help you as it did me.
Take Care

[Completed] [Q] I Factory Reset my Rooted Huawei Y220

Hello again in need of assistance asap.
I have a somehow minor problem with my phone. I decided to factory reset my rooted huawei y220 because
-All of a sudden I can't access websites like:
>facebook.com
>yahoo.com
>gmail.com
I also can't access their mobile sites. I can't access the said websites from any browser from my phone at the time(Stock browser & Dolphin Browser). There is no problem with my internet connection since I am able to access these websites from my laptop and other handheld devices.
FORTUNATELY, I stumbled upon a browser named UC MINI. I can somehow access these websites but only if I am using its feature call "Speed Mode". If I switch that off I can't access the said websites.
I also factory reset my phone because a person from XDA told me that unfortunately, there is no compatible Custom ROM with my phone.
I don't know why didn't I just Unroot my phone with Kingo Root(The program I used to root my phone). And I also wanted to start from a clean slate and since I deleted the bloatware using titanium backup.
After rebooting from the factory reset I noticed SuperSU was left behind and it said that "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it This is a problem!" Why is that? I did my research that if you factory reset your phone with a custom rom it will cause problems(?) Well fortunately I wasn't using a Custom Rom and I checked my phone with root check to check it whether it is rooted, it isn't rooted anymore after the factory reset.
My doubts are:
>What is causing my phone from accessing these websites(And probably more)
>Is it a virus?
>Did I touch something with the system that made it faulty?
>I was kind of playing around with ROM Installer with the bootloader thing because I thought it would change the boot animation of my phone to something else.
>Is it okay if I root my phone again and see whether the SuperSU issue is fixed and the browsing thing fixed.
My Huawei Y220-U10 is working a smooth as new right now. Actually a bit faster than when I got it fresh because I uninstalled some bloatware when it was still rooted. My real concern is the connectivity issue and the SuperSU issue.
Hope to hear from you guys asap,
Jom
Hi,
I found this guide about factory reset for your phone, hope it is helpful.
As for the apps you are having trouble with, suggest deleting, doing a fresh install, and rebooting.
Not likely a virus.
Yes, if you root again you should regain superuser access... please note that superuser works on some devices and super su works on others.
As a reminder, we are happy to help when we can, as best we can- we are not here for troubleshooting issues.
Good luck !!

Stuck in a bootloop + CWM question

Edit: Solved, see bottom
ROM (D6633_Customized HK_1290-5630_23.4.A.0.546_R6C_HK_SuperSU2.46_XZDR2.8.21-signedv2)
Bit of a dumb move on my part. It all started when my snapchat stopped working, I updated, and then Titanium Backup wouldn't restore the data properly (giving me "parse error"). I was trying to fix that and read online that sometimes this is caused by improper permissions, so I booted into recovery mode, couldn't find the option, but somehow decided "hey, maybe my root permission (?) is wrong slash it's 6am and I just watched a wild 2016 election end" and I hit the button. Now my phone is stuck in a bootloop.
So my question:
1) What exactly does re-root phone do (in CWM), and why would that have messed me up? Is it because I have a pre-rooted rom?
2) I wiped cache and delvik and it doesn't help
3) How do I fix this? I was thinking of loading a SuperSU zip on the SD card from my computer and flashing that, assuming somehow a corrupted root is at fault. I can't seem to get the thing in ADB mode as a side note.
3b) If that seems like a good idea, does it matter what one I use?
4) If I reflash the ROM, it should keep my apps and stuff, ya? I don't actually care if my phone is crippled, I just need it to work long enough to properly back up some media, and mainly get my whatsapp over to my new SIM card. If I can't get in it's forever stuck on my old number which I don't have the SIM for anymore.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Edit: I don't know how to delete this. Anyways, with other resources I found out that because I used a pre-rooted ROM, there were issues with using CWM to try to do the rooting with its built in functions, softbricking the phone. Reflashing the original pre-rooted ROM worked fine.

TWRP Question - so confused

Hi all.
Hope someone can help me. When I got my Samsung S8+, I quickly installed TWRP and then rooted it with magisk the same day I received it.
After that I removed a LOT of bloatware and installed hundreds of apps and everything was fine for 6 months.
One day it gave me a weird lock error, because I think I accidentally removed the OEM Unlock and the phone went crazy.
I had no phone for a few days but eventually I managed to flash stock rom and phone went back to normal.
I lost root, but I managed to keep all my data.
Now I want to see if I can get root again. However, all the tutorials to get TWRP require that I wipe my phone.
My questions are:
Can I root my phone without wiping all my data? Is there a chance that my bootloader is unlocked already or did flashing stock rom remove that?
If I have to wipe my data, how can I keep all my apps (and the app data). I have Titan Backup but that needs root to work so I don't see how to save the app data?
Thanks
Here is the query result using your basic question. . .

Inorder to root, you need twrp and in order to get twrp working you need to wipe everything first.
I don't know if there is the possibility to backup app data without root, however i found this articel.
Just because I'm curious, which apps are important for you to have a local backup? I went through all my apps and didn't found a single app which isn't either naturally stored in the cloud (like whatsapp, FB, Snapchat,..) or has the function to export/backup things like tasker. :fingers-crossed:
Hi Jaannis.
I have a lot of apps that do not store their data in the cloud but locally in the phone. Without being too specific, some of these are notes, some are social apps (connections with hundreds of different people around the world with conversations, pictures and videos) and some are personal collected data.
I managed to migrate all the data the last 5 years using Titan and I think it's silly after managing to save them suddenly to lose them. On the other hand it kind of looks like there is no other way. Without Titan backup working, I will need to lose everything.
