[Completed] How to copying stock android tablet OS and install it on identical hardbricked tablet - XDA Assist

Hi, can somebody direct me in the right direction. I posted a thread on December 13th 2016, about "Help unbricking Nextbook 7 NX700QC16G tablet." There was good info to follow, but unfortunately, none worked for me.
This is the link to that thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/gen...g-nextbook-7-nx700qc16g-t3518217/post70073647
**UPDATE**
The tablet is still bricked after numerous attempts to reinstall OS. I came across a solution that might work but, I just need info on how to go about doing this the right way. My problem was trying to find the right files in order to complete the flash. I couldn't find any files online that were compatible with this device. I did find MT8127 files for other devices but they didn't work. So, I thought, maybe I should buy an identical tablet and copy the firmware/rom/OS from it and install it on the bricked tablet. I bought the tablet on ebay for very cheap and it was in excellent condition, so now I have 2 Nextbook 7 NX700QC16G tablets. Once I fix my mom's, then I will have one too, since I didn't own a tablet before.
How do I go about copying the OS of this working tablet and installing it on the bricked tablet?
I'm hoping and assuming that the working tablet won't have to be rooted. If so, will kingroot or any softroot programs be sufficient? (I'm trying to avoid having 2 bricked devices.)
Please help me, Thanks in advance.

Hi !
I would suggest you to search on google , I personally couldn`t find anything here on xda about your issue , some blogs may have more answers
Good luck !

[Q] Cyberpad iView 7xx TPC Rooting?

Anyone doing any "development" rooting, firmware flashing, CWmods etc on iView tablet/phones?
I found someone who did actually...named: eyeoncomputers (hey there!) who made a very comprehensive and excellent Youtube tutorial seen here (I hope this is allowed), titled:
IVIEW 760TPC Advanced Improvements - Flashing Firmware, Custom Scripts & more...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fATLTulwdQg
So now, at least I know it can be done on an iView....
I'm tempted to just go for it....unfortunately, a 760TPC spec is pretty much too far off from a 792 TPC model (dual sim phone capabilities + 2G/3G + GPS/A-GPS connectivities which will most likely get messed up) if I flash it...and without any firmware back-up I'd most likely brick it before I could say I have root!)
Basically...I just want the 792 TPC rooted (for backing up purposes Titanium back up needs root right?)....so has anyone done it yet? or knows how to do it? or maybe an idea on how to go about it? Anyone? :-?

My friend have an Iview-795TPC tablet but seems like a different story for them.
One of the kids or someone changed the lock pattern and one day the owner tried to open and locked after several attempts of trials.
Now, it asks for an email account and password of the (last) user who created and accessed the tablet but even the owner's account (email & password) seems like can't open it.
I also tried the HARD RESETTING of this gadget because when they sent it to me to do the remedy or fix it back to factory settings, I cannot undo it. Even I followed all the instructions and step-by-step procedures on the YouTube video, still cannot restore it.
Is anybody successfully tried to restore back to factory setting of this IView Tablet Model 975TPC?
I appreciate it to someone help me on this situation. Link or simple tutorial-instructions can do.
Thanks in advanced.

Thanks for the response.
Unfortunately, I cannot tell you about this tablet because it's my friend's gadget but I found out that it's okay to use for starters and I'm an ACER Tab user (A500),
I only brought this attention because my pal couldn't fix it. :fingers-crossed:

Here is the firmware for all the iview tablets. just unzip it and install the software and it will install the firmware to the device
iviewus.com/download/firmware/
iview 797tpc
I just purchased the Iview 797 TPC with jellybean 4.1.2.
These just released mid 2013, and have been looking all over for firmware, etc.
Not much out there for these models.
I had it connected to PC and the phone icon on desktop through media espresso said HTC generic.
So possibly these are clones of HTC.
These tabs are excellent except for the sound, they are to quiet for playback and handset volume.
So my question is can developers put aside the higher end models and get some ROMs for a Iview.
I would at least like to get jellybean 4.3 or even a piece of that KitKat .......
Flash / install the firmware

Now that I have downloaded the firmware, how do I put on the device? I don't have Windows (or rather would like not to use it).
I did successfully installed Android 4.4 on a Transformer Prime not so long ago, so I am comfortable with adb and fastboot tools.
Does anyone know?

Lenovo A7600 / Tab A10 Custom Recovery for Backup and Restore

Hi,
I work in a school, and the school have just purchased 75 Lenovo A7600 tablets (Lenovo Tab A10).
Basically, I want to build one up and image the rest so I thought the best way to do this would be with a custome recovery - any thoughts? Any suggestion on how to do this with this model?
I was thinking the best way would be to flash Clockwork Recovery, then use that to backup on the first device and then restore it on the rest. Obviously as the tablet isn't very popular model, there's very little online about doing this on this model so I'm a little hesitant as only done it with Samsung phones in the past, following guides.
At the minute it's taking about 40mins per tablet to setup to how we want it so I think this would be a quicker way, if we had say 10 SD cards and just worked through them.
We can't get drivers for this device so would all need to be done on the device.
Lenovo have said we can do what we want with the software, their warranty still stands unless we start physically tinkering with the hardware.
Any help and/or advice is highly appreciated.
So I've searched the forums, and I'm sorry to bring up a old thread.
But, I'm looking for a way to root the A-7600 aswell, love the tablet (for the money I paied), And all I miss is root.
Thanks!
Better late than never !
Hi guys,
there is a thread on this site about your problem : its name is "[Guide] Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 Root, Recovery, Xposed and Others" (I'm sorry, since I am new on this site, I can't post any link)
Cheers,

[Completed] [Q] Could we please start a forum specifically for ZTE Supreme/Vital/Quantum/N9810?

I've been searching for info specifically for rooting/CWM'ing/ROM'ing this phone for a couple of weeks now and this device seems to be the bastard child of the Android world. If I owned a ZTE Blade I would be fine already. I know that help for this device exists somewhere, but using the XDA search tool doesn't pull up anything. I've searched for "Supreme", "Vital", "Quantum", ZTE in general, etc, etc, and the only thing that comes up is the LG Quantum which is obviously no help at all. And it seems that none of the other Android "help" sites have any better luck with specific information for this device (it's always a "this works for most devices, but your mileage may vary" kind of thing).
Basically I broke my phone from Virgin Mobile, bought a cheap used one in good condition off of eBay, but unfortunately the new one is tied to Sprint. Doing an ADB backup/restore from one device to the other does not copy over any of the carrier information so that was no help. It appears that this info would be copied over with a Nandriod backup, but I can't do this until I install CWM. I can't use ROM Manager to flash in a CWM image because this is not a "supported" device. I've tried using fastboot but it just waits forever for the device to connect whether I have the ZTE or Google USB drivers installed. I've tried flash_image but it throws an error saying the recovery partition was not found. I've tried just about every solution I can find any hint of anywhere online and I'm at the end of my rope. The only good news is that I was at least able to root my device using KingRoot! It's everything after that which has been the problem... I'm hoping somebody here can point out a link to a GOOD source for exactly how to at least load CWM for this specific device so I can get Nandroid going. Ordinarily I wouldn't mind experimenting with building this from source myself, and I'm sorry for taking the lazy approach and asking for somebody else to do the grunt work, but I work 12-16 hours a day and just don't have the brainpower available to deal with this right now. I just want my phone back!
As a second item, I would very much like at some point to play with loading Lollipop on this device. I've found a link which on the surface seems to have good info, but then when you try to download the image they hold the data hostage and expect you to "complete these dozen offers". NO, I'm not going to give them all of my personal info, and I'm also not going to jump through their bs marketing hoops. But anyway, this is entirely secondary to getting my replacement phone up and running. The link to this info I found is:
cwm-twrp-recovery.org/2015/03/zte-vital-n9810-5511.html
Copious thanks in advance for helping me to keep my sanity!

[Completed] Help unbricking Nextbook 7 NX700QC16G

Hi, I'm new to this site and in deep waters with this issue. I'm decent in repairing hardware and basic in doing software changes. Well, I screw this one up.
My mom was having problems with her Next book 7 tablet not having enough memory. Insufficient space with less than 1GB. She really don't know how to download and add apps so there wasn't much on it, maybe 2 or 3 apps she really used other than factory ones. I always have to clean the cache and delete updates so that it would function decent. So I decided to Google this issue and found out that every one of these China made tablets had that issue and the site didn't have the downloads. One site gave instructions on how to fix the lack of memory issue but the tablet had to be rooted and have the firmware updated. Then you can go in a combine the partitions to gain all of the memory. So I started to upgrade it. I followed the instructions carefully. When I got to the "scatter-loading" dialog box, I couldn't find the open scatter file - MT8127_Android_Scatter.txt in the SP flash tool kit. So I Google the info and found MT8127_Android_Scatter.txt and ran the flash tool.
I thought I was good to go but then I got BROM ERROR : S_DL_GET_DRAM_SETTINGS _FAIL (5054). I guess the scatter files were wrong. Now the tablet is dead hard bricked. I still want to fix the memory problem but now I have a bigger problem, a dead tablet.
Can someone please help me get it back going?
Next book 7 16GB NX700QC16C
Mediatek Quad-core MT8127 Arm Cortex A7
4.4.2 kit Kat
Not sure if you might need more info, I will try to find if needed. Thanks in advance

Thanks SawDoctor for that info.
In both of those threads, the NextBook 7 Premium YF1011 was mentioned. I'm not sure if the one I'm trying to fix is a premium tab, the SN# is YFG0914006160. I guess I can still try it, I don't think it can get any worst. Thanks

Hi, its [email protected] again on trying to unbrick this Nextbook 7. I haven't made any progress in finding the right firmware in order to unbrick. I have the files for the SP Flash Tool kit but they are giving me Brom errors (4032) (5054). I tried the Rockchip Batch tool kit but couldn't find the firmware image file and I also tried LiveSuit; all progress at negative. This is not too hard to do but i'm banging my head against the wall because I can't find the right files in order to complete the flash.
Am I missing something?

[Completed] Flashing KindleFire 7'' (5.1.3) - HELP ? ADB cannot read file.

Using EITHER bin files from RootJunky for downgrading FROM 5.1.3 to 5.1.2, I am constantly met with the error "adb cannot read file", when trying to sideload.
I have done everything correctly in terms of putting the device into recovery mode and selecting ADB from the menu.
Does anyone know what the issue might be and how I could go about fixing this? I'm totally stumped.
Also, 2 days ago I was able to use ADB to remove the ads from a separate kindle fire 7'' on the latest firmware so I don't see why ABD worked fine for that and isn't working for this one which has the older, more friendly firmware.
I'm looking to downgrade in order to use a custom rom.
Have seen a lot of threads about this outside of reddit but in a lot of cases it just seems to be people speculating and bricking people's devices with bad information, so I came here in the hope that people might know what to do.
Thank you for any help in advance.
NOTE: I am using the Amazon Fire 7'' 5th Gen. (NON HD MODEL)
