Hi,
I am having trouble unlocking the bootloader for my phone.
I have installed the drivers and device gets detected in fastboot (Drivers from Sony Dev Centre and Flashtool)
I have tried USB 3 to Type C and Type C to Type C.
I am on O2 UK Firmware, Build: 39.2.A.0.374
I have enabled USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking in Developer options.
This is the unlocking command i received from Sony Dev Centre:
Code:
fastboot -i 0x0000 oem unlock 0x0000000000000000
I receive this when trying this code (of course not the 00000):

Try unlock bootloader via Flashtool. I had the same issue like you have.
Ask again a new code, i had the same with my Z5, asked a new code and that worked.

Did you check the service menu under "Configuration"?
Mine says "Bootloader unlock allowed: yes"
Maybe your bootloader is locked by O2. Flashing another ROM (non-O2) won't help you.

Bootloader unlock allowed: no
I have tried new code, original Sony cable and Flashtool. Nothing works.

If the status say no don't go any further it'll just brick your phone its a carrier locked. You'll loose such features associated to the drm. Especially the camera department.

If it says bootloader unlock allowed NO there's nothing you can do to change it to a YES unfortunately. So rooting it is out of the question the only UK network that supplies sim free network unlocked devices for both their payg and contract phones is three, most if not all other UK network supplied devices will more than likely be bootloader unlock allowed NO every xperia I've had from three has had a unlockable bootloader.

Make sure when you paste it in that dialog box on the Motorola Site there is no space in between. When you paste it the space appears so just go manually backspacing all the space boxess. Even I had the same problem last night. So don't panic
If you're on 4.4.4 kitkat and you are sure that you typed the code correctly it's not your fault. The exact same thing happened to me. You just have to flash a temporary bootloader, unlock it, and then reflash original bootloader. I would have given the link (its on the motorola forums) but I cannot as XDA won't allow me to (I have less than 10 posts on the site).
Had this problem before. The thread about this issue is in here:

@riteshgpt60 please remove the unlock data and IMEI numbers. These are very sensitive information. Do not make them public in future.

I always see phrases like this with no explanation about what exactly damage could it make to the owner. Who can explain it to me?
There are a lot of services through the web which can give you some information about your phone based on its imei number. So, according to your words this procedure might be dangerous. And I really hardly believe in it.
And what about unlock data. What could fraud do wih it?
P.s.
Ok, I've made some researches and found out that phone could be wired based on imei.

Hi, I just wanted to upgrade my moto G to lollipop , so i flashed the brasil fw, after flashing the firmware , my phone can't boot , it stuck on fastboot mode with a warning showing " version downgrade for boot, failed to validate boot image"
I read somewhere that it can be solve by unlocking the bootloader and flash.
I paste the unlock code correctly but it can't unlock my bootloader.

Unless your Bootloader is unlocked, or Settings > Developer options > Enable OEM unlock is ticked - there is no solution.

You can't. And if the option has not been enabled, you cannot unlock the Bootloader. You can still try the following:

Thanks

Hey guys. So I bought an LG v50 the other day on ebay from a seller in Spain. Its a v500n model with LG Uplus firmware. When I initially turned it on I got the bootloader is unlocked warning. The bootloader is indeed unlocked so I've been trying all day to relock it. The problem started when I couldn't even get it into fastboot mode so I used a guide on one of these other posts about using LG UP to flash boot a partition and boot b partition to force it into the bootloader menu. I did that and successfully gained access to it. When I tried Fastboot flashing lock command and its variants I was just getting Failed messages all the time. I included a screenshot of what I was getting. Looks like the lock count is set to 0. I tried reflashing the firmware but still nothing. Anyone help me out? I'm in Ireland and don't fancy sending this phone all the way back to Spain. Thanks in advance.

To unlock boot loader on TA-1207 just unlock developer options. Then toggle OEM unlocking. Boot into fastboot and use 'fastboot oem unlock'.......worked for me
Anybody find any firmware yet? I found some, but its all too old to put on the 1.3 now. The latest OTA I have been able to find is from 06/2020. Hoping some newer versions start to pop up. Or the OTA from 10 to 11

When I try fastboot oem unlock, it throws up the 'Command not supported in default implementation' error.
Try 'fastboot flashing unlock' it worked 4 me but I broke the damn thing by flashing a fake boot image.
Hello, I have NO OEM unlocking option in developer settings? Australia is the Country. Could anyone tell me if this is normal with all CAT phones in Aus.
I got My s62 pro couple weeks back. The phone at times gets hot when in use and my voice sounded like i was talking under water , so the person at the other end explained. Generally the audio sounds a bit high pitched, it is a quirky phone. Could it be possible that spyware was installed whilst in transit, and the ability to access OEM unlocking was hidden so not to flash to another rom, just a possibility i was considering.
Any help would be appreciated . Thanks
if your firmware is :
Cat/S62Pro/S62Pro:11/RKQ1.210406.002/1.014.01
boot and recovery are here :
cat s62pro boot recovery.zip

If you have the "Allow OEM unlock" toggle in developer options, switch it on, then
adb reboot fastboot

Follow instructions on the phone to unlock bootloader.... After reboot, and every time the device boots (until you run the bootloader lock command) you will get a warning that the bootloader is unlocked and data on the device can't be verified, at power on, before boot logo...
This is where I'm stuck... I have the latest firmware on S62(not Pro) and I can't find a means to get boot.img to patch and flash. There isn't a loader for edl, fastboot is only for writing to, not read back of partitions, and I can't find the OTA update .zip with a payload.bin to extract the boot.img from... If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated
