List of custom ROMS with VoLTE support - X Play General

After the launch of JIO all Indians are desperately looking for custom rom with VoLTE support. Unfortunately the description of the ROMS are not including wether it support VoLTE or not. So let's build a list of ROMS whichh VoLTE support. :good:

This doesn't look like original Moto X play development to me.

Great, done a wonderful job?

I wish I were a Dev. but I'm not.
OMG the Entire World is Dev and moving forward with VoLte, Europe, Middle East, Indonesia, China, South America all in a short span since 2014? I just was looking for a fix to Not getting Ringtone on out going Calls to my mom in Florida on her T-mobile network.
Do we need Custom ROMs in USA with VoLte Option to Communicate? No we can just stay in the DT Bubble who needs to communicate?

VOLTE on Lineage and Resurrection ROMs

Hello XDA'ns
Is it possibleto activate VOLTE on custom ROMs like Lineage and the Resurrection? Ive learnt (and tried) that the engineering mode is locked in these and hence the Volte option cant be tweaked.
Just wanted to check with you members if there is a way we can activate VOLTE on these ROMs?
Thanks for any help!
ATM. No VoLTE on custom ROMs
Thanks for the response! Hope we have one soon!

Getting VoLTE is no big thing as compared to other things like Camera, video & few stufff..
right now VoLTE is not important for the devs..
its just a matter of time...
True that! Man, the wave JIO has created
I think what frustrates most of the letv 1 users in India is the fact that though the phone supports volte, the company is not ready to release an update that will enable the service. I know a friend who has a one plus 2, and the company was gracious enough to roll out an update with the volte enabler. May be they want users to move to their newer device.
Also, looks like most of the ROM developers are not India based, so we can't ask for more from them; atleast we have a good development support for the device, which itself is a great thing!

We need VoLTE in India because we can't experience smooth calling by jio4gvoice app that consume lot of battery too

Yes ,it is possible to get Volte in custom ROMs (you can see redmi note 3's Lineage OS) . But as said by other people it is not as important as camera and other bugs and the devs are not Indian so hard to say when le 1s can get Volte in custom ROMs.
I think by using psycho kernel.
It can be done.

I started to work on Lineage14 but it will be a hard task to have something good for a daily use so don't count on it soon I have to build device and vendor trees from scratch first. Without them we can't build real custom roms.
We can ask to @xswxm if he will make a Nougat Slimrom?

Well maybe there are some talented people on this forum what can help you. Is hard to do this on your own at least with building the device and vendor trees.. So we can make custom ROMs for this device. Would be cool if we can have a LineageOS, Resurrection Remix or Paranoid Android Maybe @xswxm can help with something if he can. Also a Nougat Slimrom will be a good thing to have for our device.
Good look building the device and vendor trees.
Also want the ROM, but only MIUI
LOS 14 would be good, but an Android 8 build would be much better when the source code is released as we won't be able to get it officially

If Sony is not able to make Volte working for Indian networks on our devices it's probably for a good reason, what is the official answer from Sony about this?
I will probably not be able to help for a simple thing, we don't have VoLTE in France so I never used it and I don't know how it works (internally)

It is working in u. K.
Global froum always answers that xa supports volte
But our local support says its hardware does not supports volte
The good reason of sony is that it is advertising xa1 ultra and and xa1 as a volte capable mobile phone
Cause in india volte is a very important feature now a days
Each mobile has it
It is become inseparable part of mobiles in india
That's why many companies have released volte update in there 2 year mobile phones
Please read this support forums some starting and some ending pages so that you can understand what is the situation and how important volte is in india

Too much battery drain..

OK I understand. At page 11, post 105 of the Sony Support forum from the link above, you can see that the phone is not ready for Volte on this Network and the information comes from Jio. I searched myself and found this: https://gadgetstouse.com/featured/jio-4g-lte-volte-supported-devices/57636
We can see the same thing, ready for 4G but not for Volte on Jio. It can be interesting to search a device with the same modem chip who works on Jio and have VoLTE to confirm if the problem is software or hardware. We must agree that XA and Ultra are Volte ready, it works on UK network. Maybe Jio use a different technical way to provide Volte As you probably know I'm trying to build Lineage14 (and AOSP later) and Volte files are not coming from Sony so we will know if the problem can be solved or not.

Yu yunicorn also has helio p10 and that was lauched before the xperia xa
It was come without volte
But after jio 4g launched its company provided it volte update
And many others helio p10 mobiles now supporting. Volte feature
If you want to know how volte works there is a page on xda i am providing it below that how. A mobile can be support volte when company does not supported it

By that link you can understand that it may be not so hard task for you to do for stock rom
It is only about add modem and add volte setting in mobile networks
I think it is easy for you rather than making a complete lineage build
And it is not a order
It is a request from all indian xa users

Xperia™ XA Dual SIM: 33.3.A.0.131
But in india the version is Xperia™ XA Dual SIM: 33.3.A.0.127
The update not come yet in india

Xperia firm has malaysian generic version for our F3116 and as it is generic it will work as normal as our software works

I'm using 33.3.A.0.131 version which is an updated version of 33.3.A.0.127 but still they didn't release VoLte in this version 33.3.A.0.131 so sad
To enable VoLTE
Make sure your specific Xperia™ device model and network subscription support VoLTE.
Find and tap Settings > More > Mobile networks > Preferred network type > LTE or 4G (preferred)/3G/GSM.
Drag the slider beside Enable VoLTE to the left.
AS per the web site i did't see any slider to Enable VoLTE

Hi, I'm working on it very slowly. It's at the very bottom of my "to do" list. When I see the poor success of my root for Nougat it doesn't give me motivation to spend my free time on it. I don't give up and I'm not stuck on it but don't count on it soon.

Need a good ROM for BLN L22

I have an Indian version of Honor 6x and I need a good oreo or pie rom that doesn't have major issues. I was going to flash elemental rom but some are reporting frp locking issue. I also can't flash pixyOs or other gsi rom due to unavailability of Volte in these roms. Please suggest a stable rom as this is the only phone I have as of now. Basic requirements are: volte, hotspot, battery along with performance.

If you want VoLTE then you can't flash any ROM as none of them support VoLTE. If you can live without VoLTE you can flash Pixys as it is the most stable and fluid Pie ROM.

Wrong. VoLTE is a feature that can be implemented regardless of Android Version. As of now only Elemental ROM supports it. Other ROMs wether their Oreo or Pie don't support VoLTE. It has to be implemented by the Developer. But Huawei hasn't released the files and the Developer doesn't have time to port them. Besides, most of the Developer don't even have VoLTE. If you want to flash a custom ROM you'll have to sacrifice VoLTE

Implementing volte in custom rom, if device hardware supports volte?

So, my devices "stock firmware" supports VoLTE (android 6). Most of the ROMs that i have seen for my device (android 7.1 based) dosen't support VoLTE. After some digging in the internet, i found out that IMS is VoLTE and VoWIFI. So i copy-pasted the apks that have "IMS" in front of them ,from my stock firmware to custom rom, doubled-checked the permissions, and rebooted my phone. VoLTE didn't work. The secret code says "VoLTE Provisioned". Am i missing something? Or am i completely wrong about this thing? The manufacturer is samsung, if that helps in a way.
it is just that volte is not supported in stock android. if you are using lineage os 14.1 then volte will break.
thank fully if ril is working in your port rom then just register play service id from playstore to google android device certification. and thus ril and volte will start working.
Thanks for the reply!
So by ril, you mean libril, right?
So if i copy libril from my stock firnware to the custom rom, will it work?

No VOLTE Android 11

I have tried 3 different roms & one MIUI on Android 11 and have no VOLTE.
On android 10 I it worked when I was on EvoX & MIUI it worked out of the box.
My carrier is Telstra. - Apparently other Australian carriers have it volte on 11.
Has anyone else had this issue? I have tried to use some props to enable it but no joy.
I'm using the Xiaomi.eu Weekly - and have VoLTE and VoWiFi working after using the disable carrier check codes on Boost (Telstra). I had been using the Indonesian ROM on Android 10 and it worked really well, but when the update to Android 11 came out - I updated and experienced a few issues that I wasn't happy with.
Changed over to Xiaomi.eu Weekly about 2 weeks ago and quite happy with the phone again. I must say though that I see VoLTE working less often than it did before, if that makes sense... sometimes I need to reboot to get it working again etc. Very happy that VoWiFi is working though, as Telstra reception is horrible where I'm living...
i had this p[roblem but i solved flasing an europe version instead global but that doesnt apply to u coz u arent in europ. try to talk with call center from ur network for reseting volte and vowifi and try again other version roms, miui, aosp, evriting...if dont work, sell ur fon

Same here!
After disabling VoLTE carrier check on Mi Note 10, VoLTE was working fine on Android 10 with Boost (Telstra). Updated to 12.1.2.0 with Android 11 and VoLTE disappeared for Telstra, but VoLTE is still on with Android 11 and Vodafone SIM.
I had to unlock my bootloader with Mi Unlock (wait 10 days) and downgrade to Android 10 Global ROM to get VoLTE to work again.

Mi 10 & Mi10 pro are also having the same issue with VoLTE using Telstra on A11.
