Automatic Bluetooth Connection? - Sony Xperia XZ Questions & Answers

My dad has a XZ dual and is complaining that the phone doesn't automatically connect to the car when he turns it on (the car). His phone has bluetooth on all the time but doesn't automatically connect to the car.
Any suggestions? he says it used to work on his HTC M8.

Got XZ for Christmas, and also had the same problem. Phone could not connect to the car (but worked perfectly with BT headphones). After 2 days of trying, I clicked "Reset Bluetooth settings" in car's menu, and... everything works perfectly since then.

This same annoyance had occurred on my past 3 Sony devices(z3 compact, z5 commit, X performance) including the xz now.
Always hit or miss if BT will indeed connect each time I step into the car.

Why is it that my phone ALMOST NEVER connects to my kenwood car audio handsfree/headset system? Ive used multiple ROMs and modems over the past almost year so far. I almost aways have to go into the phones bluetooth menu and tap to make it connect.

Usually there is setting in player to auto reconnect last connected device. Check the bluetooth setting of your audio.

[Q] PHABLET used as a Phone..... What say you ?

I'm looking at upgrading to a Phablet (screen size 5.5"+) here real soon.
What Phablets do you recommend ?
How practical is it to use as a phone using Bluetooth ?
Any other comments ?
I used a Xperia Z Ultra and I really liked the device. However, it was not really practical for me to use it as a phone, and I got tired of charging and carrying around a bluetooth headset. I never liked using a bluetooth headset anyway.
What I did for a while, which was as cheap as using a bluetooth headset, was actually this:
1 - Bought a used small android phone in working condition (Xperia Tipo) for about $20.
2 - Put my SIM card in that phone and turned on wifi tethering.
3 - Used my Z Ultra for all my data and gaming needs via the created wifi.
4 - Used the Xperia Tipo to handle calls and SMS only and nothing else.
Charging an additional device was a headache though so I stopped doing this after a few months...

[Q] oneplus one bluetooth problems

i've seen this being discussed a few times but with no resolve.I bought 4 oneplus one phones altogether. The first two were for me and my daughter bought a week apart.
These have worked flawlesly and both have been rooted both connect to the bluetooth in the car with no problems.
I then ordered one for the wife and the brother (family thing going here) they both arrived at the same time and both failed to pick up any signal...
I updated them through wifi then the phone aquired a signal with no problems. But here is the problem, both of that phones will not connect to the cars bluetooth..
everything on all the phones match up from the android version to the baseband so i can't get my head around why there is a problem.?
i hear that its a problem with cm ! but why are some working and others not?
are there any roms that are not cm11 based that i can flash and see if it is the software that's causing the fault or should i wait to see if there are any updates to fix this common problem?
It's the brother's phone thats the problem,he was a long time apple user and i convinced him to change to the opo now thats jumped up and kicked me in the butt...
if this is the wrong place to post this question i do appologise, not used to posting on forums.!
thank you
bluetooth problems
well here is an update if anybody is interested.I installed multirom and mahdi rom, bluetooth connects no problem now
I'm having the exact same issue. I had a Chinese OnePlus that connected easy-breezy to both my BMW and Acura cars. I got a new OnePlus just last week which has not been able to connect/pair at all with either car. The phone can not find any BT devices.
This is back breaking here in the anti-cell phone+driving Northeast.
When they do connect, as mine does, can it send/receive text msg's and emails via the car. Mine works for phone calls and music but no msg's. 2014 Toyota Corolla
same here, just got my OPO not quite a wek ago.
64gig-version, rooted, stock FW, latest OTA.
my BT headset connects just fine, just tried it in the car today, but the phone just does not find the alpine CD-headunit (connected fine with my GNEX or N4 before).
im actually thinking about trying ParanoidAndroid-ROM wich i liked very much on my N4.
any leads?
OK then, I just flashed paranoidAndroid .. Ta-Daa: connects to in-car BT Unit.
ParanoidAndroid by the way doesnt come with the OPO-Lockscreen, but the double-tap to wake up. just enough for me.
cheers!

Problems pairing with Ford Sync

so I've got a 2014 Mustang with Ford sync, and i try to pair this morning and the s7 won't see sync at all. if i choose to have sync look for a device, it finds the s7 but then says to say the pin but the s7 won't show any pin at all.
anyone else having Bluetooth car issues?

Rns510 column's unit pairs fine but rsap handover never takes place so phone connects up but car doesn't get mobile signal. Will probably require firmware fix as feature works fine for other galaxy phones
Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
yeah, my note 4 paired fine. this makes me mad because my buddy has an s6 and he said out of the blue the car wouldn't connect to it anymore but connected to other phones fine... then he saw many people had the same issue with the s6 Bluetooth sucking. so i hope the s7 doesn't have that issue!

I have a a 2014 Mustang gt but I replaced the factory radio with a Kenwood ddx9702s unit and kept the Ford sync capability and every syncs fine
you know, i got it working on my way home. idk how it worked, but in the morning hte phone just couldn't find it..but at 5pm it could. guess the phone was still asleep lol
I had the same issue. I had to go into the MEDIA settings under the Bluetooth settings and do both a Factory Reset and Master Reset and it fixed my issue.
2014 focus.
No problem connecting to my 11 GT
so weird. well I'm glad it works now! silly sync.. lol

2010 F150. Initially the S7 and SYNC paired just fine on initial setup. However now when I start the truck the BT paired icon is lit on the dash but SYNC will claim there are no BT devices connected. My solution has been to turn BT off on the S7, wait 10 seconds, turn it back on, and ask the S7 to pair with SYNC.
I bought an S6 Edge not that long ago which I was planning to use as my daily driver with my Ford 2015 Escape (Ford Sync 2 version). At first I suffered the not connecting or connecting but no BT signal on the Sync, or connected but randomly disconnecting...
The other night I wiped the system cache in recovery on the S6 Edge, made the Sync system forget my phone, paired it, made the sync system forget it again, and paired a second time. Everything has been working perfectly since then but it has only been a few days...
Possibly give that a shot?
luckily mine has since paired. it was just being a jerk that day I guess! it's been pairing fine everyday I get in it. weird.

Try to make sure you have the newest version of SYNC, Ford now offers the latest firmwares online. Download it to an SD card and just plug it in update will be done automatically, SYNC has had a lot of problems connecting.

Yep, if you log into the My Ford online account it should tell you. Mines claims to have the latest update which originally frustrated me until I tried the wipe cache trick.
I have the same problem but in my Volvo, the BT disconnects from the car during calls for no reason and then tries to reconnect again. Never happened with any of my other devices, including S6 Edge... really hope Samsung comes up with a solution, this is very annoying.
S7 and 2010 Fusion
Just got a Samsung S7 and tried to pair it with MySync. Sync said no phone available, S7 said no device found. Checked compatibility list on MyFord and the S7 wasn't listed. So now what? Anyone have ideas?
I noticed that the S7 was not on Ford's website as a compatible device; however, I was successful in getting my S7 connected...for about a month. As of yesterday, I cannot get it to connect or recognize the device. I am still searching for answers too.
I just got a Samsung Galaxy S7 and tried to sync it with my 2013 Ford CMAX. My previous phone was a Galaxy S4 (yes, I know I have needed to upgrade for a while) and it synced easily. I could not link the S7. One thing I noted was that my dash display listed SAMSUNG-SM-G925V and my telephone is SM-G930V.
Mine had synced just fine with a 15 Ford but randomly stopped working correctly. The phone was connected, but I could not play media through it. I disconnected the bluetooth and reconnected and its working again.
I have a 2010 Ford Explorer that will not connect with my Samsung S7 Edge. BT on sync says no BT devices. I have tried multiple times. Nothing. Can anyone assist me?
I recently got a J7 Samsung phone. I have no problems Syncing to my 2014 Ford Fusion. I can stream Spotify with no issues. I can make phone calls via the system voice command with no issues. The problem that I am having is that my Bluetooth connection will always be lost in the middle of a phone call and I have to pick up my phone......

Bluetooth speaker issue

Since beginning when I owned the S8+ I discovered Bluetooth dosent play music on my little wireless speaker. I can connect headphones wireless but not speakers. It's first difficult to connect because the speaker doesn't show up in the list of connectable devices. And if it Shows up and I'm able to connect it dosent transfer any sound. Cool Bluetooth 5.0 dosent work very well
Just to see I tried pairing my bluetooth speaker with the S8+ and it wouldn't show up in the list, all that showed up was the car, watch and gear vr. A little more time today I'm going to look into this a little further.

I have the S 8+
I have no issues with connecting
my Bluetooth.
Look at screenshot.
I have Bluetooth speakers, car radio
earbuds, Gear watch phones. etc.
No issues at all.
Attached list is just to demonstrate
Bluetooth 5.0 works fine for me.
Well the issue is not mainly because connection problems, it's more there is no music comming out of them. Btw the speaker is a xe mini capsule.

The point I'm trying to make is
that Bluetooth v 5.0 should /does /can
will / work , just fine.
I would say that either you have
disabled something or device
has faulty firmware
or may be a feature that's
disabled..?
Also so many other options "can "affect performance. /connections /music quality.
You could have compatibility
issues eg Bluetooth v4. 0, Bluetooth 4.1,
Bluetooth v 5.0 etc
Yeah i did understand what you mean from the start. And thank you for testing it
The point is there are some others who have the same issue like the poster before you. And I remember seeing in a other forum the same issue this was the reason I tried to connect the speaker. My headphones connected just fine and even sending and receiving files and alike is ok. It's just the mini speaker. No deal breaker btw it's a minor issue.

Yes, just trying to get you on right track.
What Bluetooth version, does the mini speaker have.
Bluetooth v 3...? or Bluetooth
4.0 or 4.1 or 4.2
Most probably you have to Google
to see.
You will most likely find the "issue" is on mini speakers side, than phone.?
Anyway good luck.
Yeah will find out sooner or later what's up thanx mate
