Best apps to make ROM faster - General Questions and Answers

Yo guys, I'm trying to do 'my own' ROM with modified apps (cuz there's nothing good for Desire 510) and I'm looking for any file explorer, SMS app, and if it's possible any Launcher what can change e v e r y t h i n g (I ****ing hate KitKat, that'd be nice to have Lolipop launcher or something, what can change all of that ****). And I think that's all I need.. If u have more suggestion, I'm open Ty for help all

first of all try to find if there is any debloating flashable script for your device..

Ouch.. sorry, what?
Something like this https://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-510/development/rom-nonsense-stock-root-debloated-t2960475 or this https://forum.xda-developers.com/de...-4-3-stock-os-debloated-64bit-t3361689/page10 ?

yes.if there isnt just a flashable debloating script u can try these roms.they seem debloated also..

I've installed the second one but I don't like apps what that rom have. I'll delete them, that's why I'm asking to get the best apps what I can and I'll change them.

[Q] Can I make my System ( Edited a Rom ) a Custom ROM ?

Hi friends..
I am using a Custom Rom..
And i edited some parts of it..
For example : Deleted google maps , talk and some unusefull apps. And added another applications to ROM memory another launcher , keyboard , messaging app and some apps which i use everyday important apps for me..
So now i am asking can i make my system a Custom ROM..
like other Custom Roms a zip file install it by CWM..
( I am not talking about Backup and Restore .. )
I need it because i like using different ROMs and it s hard when go back to use my best custom ROM have to install my usefull applications again.. If i can add my usefull applications in to a ROM it will be really great for me )
Hope someone can solve my question and explain it clearly..
Thx friends...
No one ?
No one know how to do ?
Wow i wasn't think it s really big problem but...
Seem only me trying to solve this problem
I'm not entirely sure why anybody else would be "trying to solve this problem"
If you are purely using this on your own device then there is no real difference between a nandroid backup and an installable ROM - both will take up a similar amount of space to store, both will take a similar amount of time to flash on your device, both will need updating immediately after install to bring all the apps up to date.
The main difference is that you can build your own backup already authorised to your Google account which will save you time.
If you are really serious about wanting to build your own ROM then I would suggest you have a search as there are guides in every device forum on how to use Android Kitchen, cook a ROM, add apps etc.
TRY GUIDE IN MY SIGNATURE... THERE INSTALL TOOL MENTIONED, THEN COPY YOUR EDITED STUFF IN A WORKING FOLDER(ALL SHOULD BE IN MANNER I MENTIONED) THEN PACK IT... FOR INFO CHECK THE GUIDE...
GOOD LUCK:good:

[Q] Need some help with a few questions please :)

My phone, Samsung galaxy s3 mini
OK, so my phone is rooted, not by myself, so I'm not entirely sure what custom rom it has on. If this is needed known for my questions and there's a way to check, then please let me know. I'm happy to give whatever information I can to help with my questions. I can tell you its not rooted with CM.
Question one. The notification toggle that has screen settings, wi fi toggles etc, I want to know if it can be removed altogether so I can add my own using apps, or if it can be hidden or changed in anyway?
Question two. I'm aware that a lot of people like CM for a custom rom and last time I read they were working on a version for the phone I have, but I wondered what other custom roms have other people had success with? The only reason I asked this question is because the custom rom I'm using at the moment doesn't have much internally built in for changeable settings... I use to have CM on my HTC and had loads of custom settings that were things you couldn't change on the normal none rooted phone.

I can't get u clearly though, it seems u r on a custom rom whose name u don't know. U can check it in setting > about phone> build name. Usually custom roms have their signatures there.
1. U ll have to learn modding the systemui.apk and few other system files inside the system/app folder of the root.
2. The custom rom teams which are popular after CM are MIUI, AOSP, etc

First root ur device, uninstall the unwanted apps that eats up the ram.
The popular way to increase ram is through linux swap AFAIK but it makes ur device laggy..

I've managed to find out I'm using dmod. But I really would like to change it to something else that has a few more custom settings with it. Is there an easier way to change the toggle bar using mod settings type apps?

[Completed] can't deodex my stock rom

hey everyone, I did much google but i m not able to deodex my stock rom. The problem is :
in xultimate: I did pulled system and framework apps but when i try to deodex them, xultimate shows file not found.
I would be really thankfull if you can help me.
M y device is Samsung galaxy star pro gt-s7262(rooted) .
Ok well you're trying to use a tool that may be obsolete. If you want to properly deodex (I assume for theming purposes) your device and it's failing a few things come to mind. First thing you may want to do is actually just find a stock rom that's already deodexed if there are any.
If not you may want to just make your own which you can do by getting the stock firmware (find this elsewhere ie: google) and build your own and deodex it using this tool here.
I think that is your best route and wish you luck

It would be best if it is without root. But if its there with root it will also work.
I tried S Launcher and some launchers from the play store but it does not give me tge same samsung interface.
Also provide method to install as well as uninstall the same.
Thanks in advance.

If your going for root and have a custom ROM installed them you can just download a theme from play store that will help you
But if you wanna so it on stock then there's no other option to do it without launcher
Also I would prefer root because theme will give you a better interface everywhere not only in app drawer but also in settings, notification drawer etc !!

Ok no problem. Provide me the instructions for installation with root.
Can it be done just by rooting the device without installing a custom rom. It would be delightful if that is possible.
Just like we flash a zip file for some apps to be installed.

I don't really understand what you mean by that. Firstly be sure whether you wanna root you device or not . It's a risky job indeed to root the device . make sure you refer to the thread properly and have all the requirements. If you don't want all this stuff to be done then enjoy the launcher effects.

Thank you for your reply. This is similar to what I want.
I want to use whole samsung interface on my moto E2
(Samsung default messaging app, phone dialer etc etc , everything samsung)
The launcher which you have given works good and also provides the look which I want but I also want all the apps from samsung devices.

I've tried this as on my moto e but not with a Samsung interface, i tried this with the HTC sense 7 interface, by Xpirit here on XDA, but this made my moto e slow and laggy.
I also tried a windows phone interface with windows apps, I didn't like it.
Samsung's touchwiz is renowned for being laggy and slow on Samsung devices, why you want need this on a moto E is beyond me, but that's your choice!
What a full touchwiz port would run like on a moto e 2015 I can't say, because I don't know!
Just a small word of caution.........
I find that unless you flash a "themed" custom ROM, you won't get the "full" other manufacturer effect you desire, some element will still be stock android or "basic"
I haven't found any good themed custom ROMs for the moto e 2015, I'm not saying there isn't any, I just haven't found them.
But what I have found is placing different launchers, themes, overlays and xposed mods slow my moto e down to a crawl, performance is drastically affected.
Please consider this before you go ahead (you don't have to take my advise, any modification you choose to make is up to you)
Good luck

I have an idea but not sure about its success. You could go to any Samsung galaxy 4, 5 or 6 XDA and download its Deodexed Stock ROM
After doing that, try extracting the system.img and from the system image, you will get an app folder which will have the system apps. Choose what you like and copy those to your phone. As I said, I'm not sure whether this works.:laugh:
P.S : And yeah, just like @ivan39 said, y do you need a touchwiz background!! I mean, I owned a Samsung. It was a nightmare. I didn't even keep it for 6 months. Exchanged it for a moto e2. Just y?

I had several Samsung's, last one I had was an s9000i or s1 someone gave to me, it was the easiest to root/flash ROMs/make mods for, but it was the slowest and had the most pathetic performance of any any smartphone I've owned.
I'll personally never have another Samsung, I now only buy phones that are stock or pure android, I find them much better without all that bloat!
I did notice a lot of those horrible cheap Chinese handsets available have a touch wiz like interface, maybe you could find a port of that?
Edit
A discussion/disagreement at work today regarding theming ect......
Someone happened to notice my own moto e homescreen looks like the nexus 5x.
I only use the "beach drone" nexus 5x wallpaper, and I use Nova launcher with its standard marshmallow icons, but that's where the similarities with the Nexus ends.
I use the CLock weather/clock widget with google now weather icons that the nexus doesn't, and I also use a different google search widget on my home screen to the nexus.
The gentleman who took me to task over "copying" the nexus home screen could not grasp the fact android is so customisable, and as he had his own moto e 2015 with the standard launcher, the yellow disk wallpaper, he didn't see the point to change it.
His argument was I have a ford focus C max as my car, but its not badged as a Bugatti or a Porsche.....
So if a Motorola looks like something else, it is something else and I'm messing around with stuff I "know nothing about"
I explained about theming/launchers/XDA/mycolourscreen/themer and icon packs but I'm afraid it fell on deaf ears and this man was quite upset I had changed my handset so Much from standard.
Point I want to make is we all make our devices what we want, that's the beauty of android.
If you want a Samsung theme, good. If I want to try out HTC sence 7 (that I love but its laggy on my moto e) then that's great.
Its all about individuality and we mustn't let others tell us different!
If you want samsung why not just buy it?
