Bootloader Unlocked of not? - Xperia Z5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there ,
I need your help because i'm stuck right now.
I have a E6653 Running 32.2.A.5.11 MM 6.0.1 i rooted it properly but here is the catch , my Z5 is rooted ( see attachement) so my bootloader is Unlocked, so when i checked for the first time after root via service setting menu it was saying Bootloader unlock : Yes,
Now that i want to install a custom ROM on my phone it says Bootloader Unclock ALLOWED : Yes !
I didn't do Anything beetween the time i rooted it since today , i didn't relock , didn't flash new kernel , didn't Wipe anything !
All functions linked to the DRM are working properly AND i'm still root !
I just installed Xposed , Adaway, Greenify ,Titanium backup, and SD Maid .
Btw i have a Recovery already installed , TWRP .
I want to know if my bootloader is unlocked or not , I want to install Existenz ROM or SlimX but i don't want to take a risk like that , my phone is New and i don't want to brick it .
Please tell me How to Know , how to proceed , i'll give you a thanks !

i have the same thing... its just the service menu incorrect. you are bootloader unlocked like me. its impossible to have root without!

I did take the risk to flash a ROM I flashed ExistenZ and it's pretty good everything works smoothly, a flawless work so yeah I guess that's the service menu who did it wrong

[Q] how to root Xperia l (c2104, 15.0.a.2.17) with unlocked bootloader ?

Hi I'm new here.
My phone:
Xperia l starry black,
Model no - c2104
Build - 15.0.a.2.17 (India generic)
My question:
I'm new to the android os, only got my first android device 3 weeks before. I recently tried to root my phone. backed up my ta, partially rooted it , unlocked bootloader...and this is where I messed up. I'm unaware of the fact that you need to flash the stock Rom after bootloader unlock process or the device will get stuck at loading screen (coloured waves). So, when I came to know about it, I downloaded and accidentally flashed newest Rom a.2.17
for which there were no prerooted kernel available therefore no full root. Now my questions
1. Is there any full root method available for the latest firmware?
2. If not full root, is there any partial root method available ? keep in mind that my device bootloader was unlocked and most of the tutorials describes about partial root (with which you can't edit system files) based on locked bootloader..
3. If not above two, can I reflash the stock a.1.31 (older firmware) for which prerooted kernel was available by rachit..
I like going with 1 or 3 solutions (if they were answered)
so guys please help me..all I wanted is a full rooted phone..
Only way I've found that works for full root on .17

And i hv full root access. Simple and Working Root procedure for locked bootloader.
Just use unlock root pro in your PC ... surely this should work...
Sent from my Xperia U using xda app-developers app
Just use motochooper to root. Simple as that
Sent from my C2105 using xda premium
ok im finally full rooted now ,,
what i did for the full root :
1 backed up ta
2 partially rooted with motochopper
3 unlocked the bootloader
4 flashed the new 2.17 rom (cuz stuck at the loading screen after bootloader unlock)
5 now the bootloader is unlocked. again used the motochopper, this time by doing so it will full root the phone..(i didnt use rebootpatch or anything cuz i can uninstall and edit system files n anythin and my device wont reboot at all)

[Q] Help with installing lollipop on unlocked phone

Hello !
I recently bought a used Z3 6603, and wanted to update it to lollipop.
But it seems it has a unlocked bootloader (according to service menu) and when i recieved it, it was factory reset, but some 3rd party apps were still installed.
One of them Super SU, so it was rooted.
I was told that i could update the firmware if i just used the Full Uninstall feature in Super Su, so i did that.
I still can't update using sony companion, becouse it knows the software is not the original one.
And i cant reinstall super su, its saying that there is no SU binary installed and the program cant install it.
I have flashed phones before, but it was really a long time ago, so im asking for some help to fix this.
Its running 4.4.4 build 23.0.1.A.5.77 and stock rom i think.
Please tell me what to do, and what info you might need !
I want to have the phone in lollipop, but everything stock, no root, no bootloader etc.
And somewhere I read something about DRM keys. Please help me with fixing that aswell thank you.

Your DRM keys are lost forever.

Ok, so they are lost even if I use the first backup that was made by the person I bought it from ?
DRM=Hardcoded=Once unlocked, always DRM free, even if you use the recovery image ?
And the rest of the questions, what am I supposed to do to get stock lollipop?
In the matter of fact it does not matter if its unlocked or locked, I just want legit lollipop, with the possibility to update regularly. (But if root is possible at the same, it can still be rooted)
Thanks for your reply !
You need the TA backup. Not system backup.
And careful not to restore some other TA.
If the previous owner backed up TA, good. If not, no chance to recover them.
Download your specific firmware in ftf format and flash it with Flashtool.
Make a clean install.
You cannot recieve OTA with an unlocked bootloader, only if you relock, but there is no point in doing that if the DRM keys are lost.
So, from where you stand, keep it rooted and unlocked, because you can do much more with it : Custom ROM' s [at the moment stock is best]...custom kernels with recovery...mods...etc.
After you flash the ftf, flash via adb a custom kernel with recovery and from recovery flash SuperSU update, as a flashable zip, that will root the phone and install SuperSU.Search also for busybox flashable zip.

Ok, I will try that then, but if I use flashtool to update to lollipop, will I still be able to root easy, or should I reinstall 4.4.4 clean, then root, fix recovery kernel and everything, and then lollipop or what goes first?
Does flash/kernel etc affect the fact that it has an unlocked bootloader ? do i need to do anything with that, or do it stay unlocked?

If you have unlocked the bootloader it is always a trivial matter to root.
Just flash an insecure kernel.
If one does not exist use [NUT]'s online kernel builder to make one with recovery incorporated in it. Its very straightforward and an automated process.
So, update using flashtool, flash your custom kernel, and you have root and recovery.

1. Sorry for my noobish question, but define insecure kernel?
2. Did I get it right? I read about ppl downgrading their phones to 4.4.4 and then installing stuff. And for me it does not matter wich version it is, becouse the unlocked bootloader makes it easy to flash, even what version you are running?

1) a rooted kernel.
2) If you have unlocked there is no need to follow any of the locked bootloader guides, they are a waste of your time. One of the points point of unlocking the phone is to easily get root. You just flash a custom kernel to gain root.
If you have a locked bootloader then you have to go through all the fuss of downgrading etc etc.... but with an unlocked bootloader its so easy and straightforward

Good luck.

bricked device, can't get into recovery

so, I've rooted with kingroot and installed dual recovery, then downloaded cm 12
on philz, I used that "prepare for new rom"
and went I went to flash the zip...... it was corrupted.
and so, I downloaded the zip on my pc and tried to flash it with sideload, it didn't work.
so I thought that philz sideload wasn't working and tried to boot on twrp
but, when I turned the phone on again, I couldn't get into recovery.
I can get into flash mode just fine.
pls help :^(
also, I can't get it to show on fastboot devices :^(
If u want to use Cyanogenmod, then u have to unlock the bootloader or else u will get a softbrick, anyway u can recover your phone with flashtool or with pc companion, after re-install firmware then unlock bootloader but as you know, u will loose drm keys (bionz etc), for working Cyanogenmod u need a custom kernel aswell so unlocked bootloader is indeed

I guess it must work, as long there is a patch for Z3 dual then it will work
you can use flashtool and a stock firmware to get your phone unbricked

Comming back to MM with Root

Hey Guys , this is the last time i bother you with my threads i swear
I have prepared all the pre-required to root my Z5 (wich was runnig MM and now runnig LP 32.0.A.152)
I have succesfully backed up my TA partition with Iovyroot v.03 (Thank you very much for the link josephnero !)
I have my Bootloader unlocking code from Sony Official website .
My Bootloader is not Unlocked Yet, I do a last Security Check before this step .
I would like to know if When i will have unlocked my BL and Restored My TA and DRM if i could come back to MM and Keep My Root and DRM ?
I saw somewhere a few soft i don't understand , like AndroplusKernel or Xperifirm , even when reading the tutorial From A to Z i can't undertand the purpose of those soft and how to use it .
Can someone explain me what the goal of those soft and how it works please ?
Please don't be rude with me i'm a NOOB and i don't want to Kill my phone
It don't bother me to reflash a Stock MM rom if i must do it
The Final goal i want to reach is , My Z5 E6653 Running MM ( Stock or not i don't care ) Root with DRM restored
Thanks in advance for Everyone helping me !

First backup your files.
Then unlock bootloader(this will erase you files)
Then flash 32.2.A.5.11 using flashtool, then download patched kernel(i will send it using private messages).
Then flash your backed up TA patrition, and then flash supersu using twrp, and you are good to go.

[Q] BLUnlock not allowed solution ?

Hello every one. I have a c2105 from Vodafone and I'm convinced that there's no option to unlock my bootloader, but recently, I found two videos on Youtube which show a software that can unlock it when it says "NOT Allowed"...
Links:
https://youtu.be/Li8Eim6gugw
https://youtu.be/f7EXkspZ6Bg
Has anyone tried one of these softwares and has it a chance to succeed ? :fingers-crossed:
Thank you
totally fake
100% malware for your pc
Flash recovery to boot via fastboot and flash rom and after that flash boot from that rom
There is a way to install a cwm while BL locked. Although in order to flash a custom ROM you need to find a good one and one for BL locked (which there aren't many at the moment)
Can we install rom without unlocking bl
Help, I need dumped TA partition with permission to unlock the bootloader, mine is locked (orange) and I want find the differences.
Can someone post one ?
