Hello every one. I have a c2105 from Vodafone and I'm convinced that there's no option to unlock my bootloader, but recently, I found two videos on Youtube which show a software that can unlock it when it says "NOT Allowed"...

Has anyone tried one of these softwares and has it a chance to succeed ? :fingers-crossed:
Thank you

Flash recovery to boot via fastboot and flash rom and after that flash boot from that rom
There is a way to install a cwm while BL locked. Although in order to flash a custom ROM you need to find a good one and one for BL locked (which there aren't many at the moment)

Hi everyone!
I have a problem and I need your help. I'm using AVD Rom but I have locked bootloader ("Unlock bootloader allowed: no"). But I need help with flashing .zips. I was trying to do it via Flash Gordon but this application doesn't work properly for me and one time it caused bootloop in my phone. I wanted to flash Pure Performances™ but I don't know how. Does anyone know any program like Flash Gordon but more stable?
Thanks for help in advance

There are restrictions on CUSTOM ROMS which require UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER. However, some ROMS can even work on LOCKED BOOTLOADER. So every time you flash your ROM with locked bootloader, you will end up bootlooped. Sometimes, the ROM would work but some extra modifications wouldnot work (as they require further freedom which only unlocked bootloader can provide)/ Thus flashing Zips made for UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER will also result in bootloops.
The best way would be to check out which ROMS support locked bootloaders or if someone from your community comes out with a hack to UNLOCK your bootloader when you are not allowed.

I understand but most of zips caused bootloop if i flashed them via flash gordon. And I've read that Pure Performances modification doesn't need unlocked bootloader
Hi there!, i have a brand new moto G like 4 days ago, i want to know some points about unlocking the boot loader, so would be very nice if someone can clear my doubts about it....
1 - When you unlock the boot loader, you lost something more than the warranty from motorola an OTA updates?
2 - If i install a custom recovery, can i make a working full nand backup of my original carrier rom? ( 14.71.8.falcon_umts.AmericaMovil.en.CL )
3 - Is there a way to download official firmwares from motorola servers? i cant find 14.71.8.falcon_umts.AmericaMovil.en.CL anywhere.
4 - Can i can i make a working full nand backup of my original carrier rom WITHOUT UNLOCKING and FLASH ANOTHER STOCK ROM FROM OTHER COUNTRY? (Ex: US Global)
Best regards!!
Probably best to start by reading the multitude of posts already covering all your questions.
1 -When unlocking the bootloader, you'll need to get the unlock code from motorola... you will loose only warranty. if i were you, i'll use the phone for a week or two to test the hardware such as battery,etc...
2 -Yes, you can also fastboot a custom recovery to do a nandroid backup of your carrrier rom. But you'll need to unlock the bootloader.
3 - You can get most stock firmware from the android dev section.. please check if yours is listed there.
4 - Without unlocking the bootloader, you can't fastboot custom recovery nor install one, but you can flash stock firmware but can't confirm from another country.

Thanks Dude!!!
Hello,
Excuse me for asking such question but I have never Boot Unlocked & Rooted any Sony smartphone so I'm confused here. I have only rooted LG and Samsung before without Unlocking the Boot as it was straight forward process. I have found this tutorial and everything is fine as I have got "Bootloader unlock allowed" in service information which confirms that I can root my Xperia. However when I visit the official website to get my unlock key it says that I need to be on software version 18.3.C.0.37 where my one is 18.6.A.0.175. Do I just use this official website to generate the unlock key and then use the flashtool to do it anyway ? I have use flashtool before but just for flashing the TFT file. Also after I unlock the bootloader how do I install custom recovery mode then install or back up the whole OS ?
If someone would help me I will appreciate your help. :good:
Thank You.
Ok, so right now you don't need to unlock bootloader to root M2 with 5.1.1. (At least not on 2306). Anyway, when you go to official website, they ask for your imei (after selecting your device). And then they give you the unlock code, they tell you how to unlock the BL with such code, with some SDK tools, but i prefer using flashtool since it does the job for me. So, after you open up flashtool, click on the icon that sais "BLU", it will ask you to select your device, you do so. After that it will ask for the unlock code, you put it in and click on unlock. After that it will do a procces, when finished, your BL will be unlocked.
I do gotta tell you, i've unlocked BL for 2 or 3 devices, all of the times everything goes right, exept once. After unlocking BL i ended with a bootloop. So for this case just turn off the phone, and flash any ftf. Bootloader will not re-lock after flashing.

Ok, thanks !
Also why do they say I need a software version 18.3.C.0.37 ? Could it be that their SDK tools require such version where Flashtool works on all of them ? Do you know how I can install custom recovery ? Do I still use CWM Recovery or something new and how can I flash new rom into it ? I have also heard something about emma when flashing rom ?
Thanks a lot for the help, I really appreciate it :good:

Sure no problem, about that i'm not sure, i've never had that android version issue before. For CWM you can get it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-m2/general/d2303-philz-touch-recovery-6-t3047492
Go to where it says "Download recovery" and download latest version (V0.7). Of course you have to be rooted in order to install. After you have root, enable usb debuging on your phone, and enable unkown sources just to be sure. Open the install.bat inside the file you just downloaded and follow the steps.
After you have CWM you can flash roms and other stuff.
As I said in the title my device is G920FQ model. I want to try custom roms, is it already bootloader unlocked or is there a way to unlock bootloader? I've searched this place but couldn't find anything.
Also if it is bl unlocked can I just flash TWRP without rooting my device first?
EDIT: Got it all sorted out.

Just in case anyone wondering. I have XZ2 AU (SOV37) with Bootloader unlock allowed : No
So I use qUnlocktool, paid some money for it (nugsm), and unlock the simlock (even though it's already unlocked to begin with)
And after that Bootloader unlock allowed : become Yes.
Then I flashed Android 10 global ROM, unlocked Bootloader, phone unable to receive signal.
From there all I have to do is just to restore the backup from qUnlocktool, as result I have unlocked Bootloader and unlocked SIM.
Hope this can help some people.
Though by flashing to Global / Custom ROM you will lose NFC. recommended to use debloater (magisk) to remove NFC related services to prevent battery drain.

I bought it from this site, https://nugsm.com/product/sony-xperia-cable-unlock-0-counter-supported/
they also provide the software required for it
Yes it's possible, need to pay for service.
qunlock can do, even they only described as sim unlock.
Tried with SOV37 and 702SO
I bought from

I tried unlocking an Xperia XZ2 SOV37 with qUnlocktool and it worked. It showed Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes, and then I proceeded to unlock bootloader with fastboot command. However this error showed up:

I tried on both AU stock rom as well as lastest android 10 UK Customized (H8216_52.1.A.3.49-R8C_Customized UK) but both failed to unlock bootloader.
Can you help me solve this problem? Which global rom did you flash?
